The “play online” reference really got me! I remember buying the guidebook for ff9, so excited to read all the secrets & back stories. So disappointed to see a lack of even basic info, as the physical book directs you online for specifics & the website was discontinued loonnnnggggggg ago 😢
I was wondering what he was talking about with Altoona pizza because I remember there being a really good pizza place in Altoona when I was there years ago...then I googled it, that type of pizza is horrifying...
The first time I played 9 I didn't give it the time of day because it just seemed so goofy. Thankfully I gave it another shot and it's definitely one of the best in the series
I'm wondering what this part-poisonous mushroom is, that we Finns eat. Only one that comes to mind is one that's freely translated as "Ear-mushroom". Its brown and somewhat resembles an ear shape. Its poisonous, if not prepared correctly. Maybe its this one? But there are weird foods that Finns enjoy, I can't deny that.
Wait so... Accuracy+ means you have a 100% chance to hit a target? So basically accuracy+, which is a 2MS ability, would be better than Bright Eyes (a 4MS ability?). Thats a weird mechanic.
totally not me living in the land of "anything goes on pizza" (a.k.a Sweden), and unironicly having tuna + mushroom as my go to pizza toppings XD love the run!
This run can definitely keep up with the other legendary runs that had Tojju, Luzbel, Caracarn. They are missed, but great replacements 👌Very funny and entertaining. BTW congrets to Muttski on his shiny Cyndaquil 😄✌ These long-ass FF and Poke runs are always my personal highlight of RPGLB, GDQ, ESA.

@@inxine They didn't submit. I don't know about with Caracarn, but for Tojju and Luzbel they'd be traveling from out of the country so it'd be pretty expensive (and I believe Luz is planning a trip to Japan if his stream is any indication), so probably just didn't line up.
For me, the run was partially hard to endure. 9,5 hours of almost non-stop need-to-be-funny-talking made me stop and resume the video several times. Shout-out to Melle for being the quiet one.

I love it that lvl 3 Steiner just hits for a casual 1,5 k. Thanks for the run guys, I always enjoy a good FF speedrun with commentary :)
One of the most entertaining runs I’ve ever seen. Honestly it rivals the Eiffel65 one. So fun and funny to watch
legendary 65 run was so good 🤣
I actually really like when the run goes off rails in a marathon, it helps me appreciate the tech involved in the run

@dpenduro8950is ff11 worth the entry fee
This is so entertaining, cannot work while listening to this run, top content
Finally a new Final Fantasy 9 run to fall asleep too! I.. so.. happy..
FFIX will never not be a top tier meme fest every time its here, love it so much
Love to see in person runs again. Love watching these
Amazingly beautiful run of a beautiful game by some amazing people. I loved every second of it!
Marcus the MvP getting the Mage Masher steal done like a boss FIRST TRY! World Record pace! :>
What a beautiful run.
man this is worse than getting rickrolled.
@@michelvanderlinden8363 Baku never gonna give that Mage Masher up
I just got a turn 1 Mage Masher steal! Not a speedrunner, but that sounds like the best RNG possible for that fight/steal?
100 of 100 nobles on this version of the game. that i feel is most impressive
Given that the Eiffel65 run is my favorite FF speedrun of all time, I was WAITING for the attempt counter in the first fight to get there
That run is what got me into FF altogether. Has to be the same for others too!
I was wondering what he was talking about with Altoona pizza because I remember there being a really good pizza place in Altoona when I was there years ago...then I googled it, that type of pizza is horrifying...
Shout outs to the dude in the crowd at 7:05 going "Oh..." when the runners revealed theyre at 43 steal attempts
FFIX having deep, existential themes balanced by bright colors and light-hearted humor goes together like chicken and waffles

This is so accurate
Everything about this is the best, thank you!
I couldn't hear the song recommendation at 5:58:32. Woolworth? Wood woof? Also he gets cut off. Did anyone catch that?
look for "Weuber" by Nobuo Uematsu
Exactly..

Blindfolded gameplay at 5:35:55 is god tier content
5:17:11 "Wakka's Gormet Race" a cappella verision.
the cotton robe trick does work IRL, it's called capitalism!
5:41:14 It's definitely pronounced Lapis La'zu_lie and I'll die on that hill.
Marathon masher

love the run!
Brilliant entertaiment!
20/07/2023????? I'm so sad I missed this live 😢😢😢😢😢😢
That pizza broke the runners lmao
I am going to have surgery eventually so I got final fantasy 1 through 9 on switch
M-tron was subjectively the best lego set. Red, black, neon green, and magnets!
Most iconic line in FF history? Bruh, it's FF8 when Rinoa says: You're the best looking guy here. And it's just Squall with a pixelated face lol
I'm gonna be a Blitzball when I grow up!

:D awesome
I desperately hope they didn't make Altoona Pizza at the airbnb. I googled it and it is a crime against the concept of flavor.
3:20:38 anyone else hear cleyra is going to get blacked by odin?
I think they said whacked lol
Freudian slip
we have pickle chips all over the south brah
I never played this one
I'm glad this run wasn't ruined by Eiffel65

No one asked, my guy 😂

Listening to them speak through masks is a bit annoying, but it was a good run nonetheless. Glad for more FF speedruns.
