These videos are addicting! I would change the airports name to a "Regional" airport and then eventually get the "International" airport...just a thought
I’m from a very mountainous region of the US with valleys similar to this map and even narrower. The train tracks here weave in and around the skirting of the mountains with a lot bridges/elevated and terraced sections of the mountain sides. I could see that track going right up the edge of the mountain he thought needed a tunnel! Our tracks are also very winding and full of curves and even switch backs in some of the older areas. It makes for a very scenic train ride especially in the fall when the leaves are in full color.
5:29 Wow, that is a contrast to my 2, Barcelona and Gran Canaria (Gando) They have: Barcelona: a billion big roads there, Gran Canaria: Av. de la Aviación (big divided road)
The dedicated tram tracks were a great idea! You could've used the pedestrian road instead of the path, those cross very beautifully with dedicated tracks
I was just casually watching your whole series, then was so startled when you said you were from Northern Ireland??!! I’ve been getting into CS2 recently and trying to make a Belfast-styled city (using your videos as guidance 😭) but hasent been working so well… i’m definitely subbed now.
Never thought I'd see the day where a comment I make on a video ends up being the one quoted at the start of the next episode. The fact that it was both my "mustache" comment _and_ me pointing out the mountain glen being quoted makes me happier than I can put into words. And now, with any luck, it's not only me and Dylan who see the moustache road in Victoria Glen, but now everyone can see it too, now that it's been pointed out in the video. As for everything else in this episode, it all looks amazing. Sure there's a couple spots where things are a bit sharper than they could be, but those just add character to the whole region. Once all the vegetation is fully grown, though, I think it'll all look that much more amazing. And as to the white-themed cargo airline, the answer there is easy: it's Amazon! It's certainly coming along quite nicely, and hopefully the simulation lag-rate gets handled sooner rather than later. And one last suggestion: At some point, I think it'd be nice if we could see another one of your custom builds, much like your old tiered-city videos. Those are what got me into your channel, but everything about it has kept me here. Plus, sometimes it's nice to just "return to your roots", for lack of better phrasing. No rush, of course, take things at your own pace. Your work is always incredible, and I doubt that will ever change.
you should hv built a station at the elementary school, realistically it would hv been really useful and fast from getting in from the city to the school and as the rail line is lit next to it
You could have put the train tracks at the air port to go under the road, under ground. Instead of building a bridge. Could have a slightly elevated road bridge over the tracks, while the tracks also go lower under ground so neither is too high or two low & give a bit of a unique look. Also at 22:00 the air port was starting to look like a chunky hand gun. I don't know why I saw this.
I really love the CS2 road line tool. They did an amazing job there. I can get all my train tracks to come straight out, even with additional [single or double] tracks between them, then get a single track and cut diagonal through all the straight lines (multiple times even) and it just works. Delete the extra bits that you don't need and you're good to go. Every track connects to every track, and it looks like a proper rail yard.
Not sure if anyone posted this already, I’m a few episodes back. But you unlocked tourism and I think laurel grove would be an awesome spot to set up a tourist destination. Bars and restaurants with other attractions would be awesome riverfront.
42:09 just a suggestion you have too many train lines with number of stops between stations under 2 - 3 and most of them are under utilised I suggest to use more stops per train line (eg: instead if Emerson - village and village to malling, make a line which is Emerson-village-malling.) instead of 2 different lines for 3 places, make a single line for 3 places, and same goes for the airport lines. Trains carry a lot more passengers and some lines in the city are under 100. (eg: Let a train travel from Emerson stop at your city and make it travel to other city)
word of caution for when you get the subway up. There is a weird bug where if you upgrade the train station to include a subway stop, there is a chance that people will ignore it as a legit stop. I believe it has to do with upgrading the train station to include the taxi service-something messes up pathing where passengers can't get out of the subway from under the train so they just ignore it. Not sure if the bug always happens or sometimes happens, but just be aware you may need to rebuild the train station if you want to accommodate the subway upgrade. I'm from Buffalo, NY and our airport is called the Buffalo Niagara International Airport-and it does not do any international flights, even with Canada right on our border-it used to do international but something er rather happened and they stopped doing them. So we have to have a connecting flight if we want to fly out of the US here.
WhatI think would be a cool and huge project is making a huge open pit stone mine in the mountains. Like use the whole circle the mine gives you so it looks like a massive hole in the ground up in the mountains
Orange and white for TNT. You could have yellow and red for DHL, white and purple for FedEx, yellow and brown for UPS. Thats about all I can think atm. Nice build, enjoyed it .
I definitely think you should reconsider letting the trainline from the airport continue to have the extra stop in the central train station beyond Emmerson as well, it would incentivize more people to use the trains because there's no extra unnesecary transfers (it would make sense for there to be a train rather than bus connection from the airport to the downtown city)
oh man I really like how much attention you put into details, although at first I thought you weren't gonna make a good and beautiful city it turned out you did a city both functional and beautiful and is now one of the cities I like the most
I think it's the models that are causing it to chug and grind. Iirc someone dived into the files and found the models were extremely detailed and there's no distance based rendering, so every model is always fully loaded no matter how much you're zoomed out or even if they're across the map and nowhere near the camera. And when I say extremely detailed, citizens have a mouth full of rendered and detailed teeth kinda detail.
You should do an underground, like most airports in the UK are, then you will have more space, and it would make more sense to have housing around it ❤
Great video! For those vacant farm fields out in Victoria Glen, why not try zoning a single low density home on a couple of them to make it looks like someone owns the property? Might look cool if you don't make the plots too large.
SUGGESTION: 1) You can make a solar park near the Airport. 2) You can extend the Existing intercity train lines to the airport which will minimise the usage of extra trains.
The airport placing isn't too close to the mountains. I grew up in a town in British Columbia called Castlegar and the airport there is literally on the side of a mountain, between more mountains, with more mountains in front and behind. Flew out of there once and it was trippy.
Just wondering if you had any unique hotels that could be placed near the airport/train station? Also was thinking that a bridge across the river connecting your roundabout could be useful?
55:20 i have a city at 270k citizens and the simulation hasnt halted yet but 3x speed is slower then the starting 1x speed i have a decent pc as well... (cpu - 5900x , gpu - 7900xtx and 32gb of ram) soo i do think its the game optimization sadly
Hey Conflict, correct me if im wrong. But for the train part where you wanted to keep the concrete wall. I believe if you end up going roughly 7.5 meters up before the road hits the track, place a node there, then continue with the bridge. You might still be able to get that concrete wall.
Just some information as an aeronautical management bachelors student that loves aviation.. I would totally think of British Airways for the blue pax line but if we are keeping the red line i would think of emirates mp... 😂 As for cargo, i would think of UPS as DHL as yellow, and FedEx or Amazon as white
Wouldn’t it make sense to have a bus line between the airport and the suburbs where there isn’t train lines, rather than having them run to the same area the train already covers?
I noticed you have two regional lines coming into the airport from either side and terminatingon opposite platforms. Can you not make it one single line going from one side of the region to the other, with the airport as its midpoint stop? would be a more efficient use of trains, methinks...
I've been watching these videos and i cant believe your also from ni!, Im watching from belfast rn and im supprised i couldnt realise you were from here!
The simulation speed is completely on city skylines 2 It’s not your computer. I think they addressed the issue and I think they’re looking into it but maybe you should say something also since you have a big say in the community. It just happened to me recently and it kind of is like game breaking because it just discourages me from playing the game all together. There really isn’t much. You can do about it right now. And it doesn’t depend on the population it just the game just breaks whenever it wants because I had a population of 70,000 and it slowed down to a halt and It just basically at a snails pace but then I also had another game that had a population of 170,000 and it was working perfectly fine until the other day.
internetional airport is bug for me... still today... i cant get access cargo whit truck no matter how many time i replace it or destroy it, traffic destroyer dont work, use normal roundup whit 8 lane road, custom roundup is nice to see but dont have dedicated path is a mess
@ConflictNerd Build a Town Name ASAS Field i know That ASAS is his Short Name Alot of Player's Named Automatic Smart Annoucement System on the IITPP Roblox Game
These videos are addicting! I would change the airports name to a "Regional" airport and then eventually get the "International" airport...just a thought
Yeah, I've already done that, haha! While this video was uploading I renamed the airport and swapped out the roundabout for a proper interchange! :)
Fr addicting videos
Agreed I love to watch since I’m Xbox so can’t play yet

Could you call that village train line a…..mustache ride?
The dedicated tram tracks were a great idea! You could've used the pedestrian road instead of the path, those cross very beautifully with dedicated tracks
I'm very happy to see this series and city grow. I first found your channel when the Mass Transit dlc came out and have been watching since.
You could put the new rail yard behind the airport (between it and the hill), may also be usable space for the subway depot as well later on.

Hey! You deserve alot more credit in your videos you are one of the best CS youtubers i have ever watched so keep up the good work👍

32:10 it's kinda realistic as the WCML follows the M6 a little bit in Cumbria

You can also use the parrell road tool and run it along an existing road to get another road that is parrell. Will help line up those train tracks.
2:00 Also looks a lot like Phantom Tailbacks. Hopefully, cars will figure out how to drive AROUND THE DAMN maintenance vehicle.
Let’s go airport time!!!!
oh man I really like how much attention you put into details, although at first I thought you weren't gonna make a good and beautiful city it turned out you did a city both functional and beautiful and is now one of the cities I like the most
the view of the city from the pov of the airplane was really cool
I think it's the models that are causing it to chug and grind. Tracks along the river are common...very good choice! The land is naturally/relatively smooth...
the village looks so cool now that it's fully grown in
You should do an underground, like most airports in the UK are, then you will have more space, and it would make more sense to have housing around it ❤

plzz do some third person view of the city would really love it
41:31 shouldn’t the platform of the airport station to your town be the closest to the actual station and the rest be at the other platforms???
SUGGESTION: 1) You can make a solar park near the Airport.
2) You can extend the Existing intercity train lines to the airport which will minimise the usage of extra trains.
The airport placing isn't too close to the mountains. I grew up in a town in British Columbia called Castlegar and the airport there is literally on the side of a mountain, between more mountains, with more mountains in front and behind. Flew out of there once and it was trippy.
14:55 Do keep in mind that the train station has an add on to add a subway entrance.
My day gets sooo much better when i Get notifications from conflictnerd. Love from norway❤
What a deja vu...
I just watched an Infrastructurist video, who's playing on the same map and did the same airport
As for housing..
You could put some McMansions on the ridge of the mountain side of the airport.
That’s how simple the roads are?😂 Here in the U.S any major airport has and incredibly complicated highway system around it
Lower the terrain of the train station like its a grade level down, will make the tracks pass under smother with the bridges
"Hiding crimes out here", sounds like a Las Vegas mob boss! 😅😅😅
Most land around airports are used for office, hotels, and commercial use, even small 2 by 2 industry.
I really wish paradox will make an option to disable the buildings that spawns on the farms. Or make it so we can place each one manually
You should do a train yard close to airport and put some offices around airport from likely low and medium density for better accuracy :D
Best time of day when I get to watch your videos
Just wondering if you had any unique hotels that could be placed near the airport/train station? Also was thinking that a bridge across the river connecting your roundabout could be useful?
I would have put those roads at -5m for the train tracks to just roll over. No idea why it works, but I'm not complaining.
not gonna lie would never have guessed you’re from northern ireland based on your accent, love your videos
55:20 i have a city at 270k citizens and the simulation hasnt halted yet but 3x speed is slower then the starting 1x speed

Building that bridge for the train was a good idea.
Awesome vid! If I were you I would make tunnels going under the train tracks for the roads going to and from the airport ;)

Love it! However, maybe try making an intesection instead of a roundabout as it’s slowing traffic down and it’s a highway
Just some information as an aeronautical management bachelors student that loves aviation..
I would totally think of British Airways for the blue pax line but if we are keeping the red line i would think of emirates mp... 😂
As for cargo, i would think of UPS as DHL as yellow, and FedEx or Amazon as white
The train line that’s running from the region to the airport could’ve easily been extended to Emerson and the central station…
maybe running train under or over highway could help cut down on the traffic jams
You could drop the railways to -10m so you get that lowered traintrack, which you can build a road over :)
6.5m clearance is huge
Semi truck in usa is way under 5m height
Max truck height is 4.2ish meters
13 foot 7 inch
So 5m height gives ya about a meter clearance
Cargo Air color options . Yellow/red ( DHL), Brown ( UPS), purple/orange ( FedEx),
You need much more taxi depots. You can't fill all the needs with such few quantity. The same with trains.
Red could be QANTAS on the flight paths.
you could use pedestrian road for the path to walk across the tram lines
If you turn off snapping, you should be able to center the train station to the road.
Your ideas is on point.
I always slightly lower my railway to create an embankment then that way the roads dont need to be so steep
You could use pedestrian road to cross the tram line :)))
Electric buses would look nice around the airport.
Wouldn’t it make sense to have a bus line between the airport and the suburbs where there isn’t train lines, rather than having them run to the same area the train already covers?

Please build international airport it’s a dope model and brings a lot of good demand and tourism
Having to walk around huge carparks to get from the train to the airport is kinda oof
Build Prison behind the mountain 😊❤
Awesome airport!
May we book tickets to 1970 Nerdrosoft Inc., and its top-of-the-line operating system?
You should name the village to Movember!
I just love your videos!
Did you ever find out if the Post Sorting facility employed more than just that one guy who was waiting for the bus home?
Add monorails using trains over the roads
Solar plant would be on flat land with clear views from east to west via south. No hills.
And a close to sea level as possible.
Roundabouts are congestion creators. Lose the roundabouts and the traffic will get better
Please do bi direction bus route, normal bus route usually bi direction and not a one way loop

ngl im gonna need a first person bus ride to the airport.
i really like to see underground train station or metro station

You have placed grass and tress in front of your parking lots, which might not be the best idea xD
Cargo airlines, yellow - DHL
Purple - FedEx
Orange - TNT
finaly some airplanes
You can upgrade the Station with the metro
Make a trian loop around the city
Airoplanes yes
@ConflictNerd Build a Town Name ASAS Field i know That ASAS is his Short Name Alot of Player's Named Automatic Smart Annoucement System on the IITPP Roblox Game
Can we change Victoria Street to Victoria Lane? It sounds prettier
That airport is so unrealistic it hurts…😅 landing patterns… it used to be an epic game 😬sad
Don’t 👏 cross 👏 train 👏 tracks 👏 with large of multiple roads
All caught up... whens the next episode??!?!!
Have anyone told you that you sound alot like Tango(Minecraft RUclipsr)?
Wait… his voice has changed about one micron since emerald county…
Build a prison next
you missed an air way im pretty sure there is a forth one
