Mekenze you're living a dream. Your house is so simple and beautiful, you're surrounded by nature. Your environment is so calm, I am totally sold. I want Kenya, I want Meru 😩.
Hey Makenze...you on top of your game for sure. Your channel is one of the most authentic ouchea. Nothing over the top, but pure legitimacy. I'm sure very soon you'll be told to influence something. I love it. Keep up.
I like the way you are working to grow your farm- so natural and beautiful. I really enjoy watching your videos- always looking forward to the next one
Absolutely love watching your vlogs. I have met a beautiful lady on line from meru and looking to move to meru from the uk. Your vlogs are so informative and helping me with that decision. Thank you so much.
You have challenged many families who believe better life is only found in Cities, they need to change their perception, God bless the work of your hands.
I'll look up the recipe for this! Love cooked fruit especially almost ripened bananas when they are fried. And I cook my fried goat for rice with raw local mangoes. Open minded person here!
Amazing how you are down to earth simple living and educational videos.I just wanted to point out that there are other beehives that are unique in that you harvest even without disturbing the bees pure to bottles.you avoid the boiling part to separate the wax and honey 🍯, check out on u tube, other wise am a fun of both your videos and honey
so just a slight correction. while its written as juju, the u in kimeru language is sometimes pronounced like an o and the j like a zh. i hope others better at explaining linguistics can chip in. alternatively the kids can call their grandmother shosho or shosh which is what most kenyan city kids call their grandmothers. hope this helps. otherwise, i love your content.
Thanks for the info.. I’m aware that we aren’t pronouncing it perfectly but it’s how we have been saying it for years so I think that it’s gonna stay that way. It’s working okay for us ☺️ Thanks for watching!
Chukey. Thank you for the clarification. I'm not that good at the language hence why I asked for input from those that know better. I'm just glad that mekenze and George are making the effort to integrate their kids into the area and the lifestyle.
Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Haha miraa. Yes not many Kenyans can handle it too. It takes somewhat of an acquired taste for decades. what am interested in Miraa is the properties in it. Supposedly it gives one energy or makes you stay up-hmmm I can think of a natural energy drink or a natural pill to keep one up. Also supposedly it supresses appetite makes one not eat as much-hmm thinking of a natural diet pill. just thinking. Speak to the merus who partake in the plant and ask them why they take it and the effects.
George's mum is a typical meru just like my parents they can't converse without using kimeru they suddenly forget and switch to kimeru even with someone who is not a meru 😄
It depends on a few things.. like how much vegetation is in the area. When you first set up the hive and the bees enter, they will need a good amount of time (could be 6 months to a year) to build up the bottom part of the hive that will keep everything stable. Then you put the top compartment on and let them fill it up.. and that’s the part you will harvest. So it does take a good amount of time in the beginning but then after that it’s quicker.
Hi Makenze. I just discovered your channel today. I really want to visit but I heard the travelling experience is horrible especially for the kids with covid i.e shoving that test down my throat. Please tell me the experience so I can from someone who has traveled personally. I haven't bn there in a while and I would like to come back and visit with my family.
I wasn’t there during the actual harvest.. George was the one filming! Afterward when they were actually processing the honey, I was there and not wearing a suit even though there were still plenty of bees swarming everywhere 😅 No one got stung!
