Hey man I’m in the process of putting an h23a in my prelude, and I’m wondering what was everything you had to put onto the h23a to work with the h22a wiring harness and ecu?
Hello, sorry for the late reply. So I am using the original wiring harness that came with the car. There are two ways of going, converting the distributor to OBD1 or changing the oil pump and adding a crank position sensor. I went with the EASIER way which was converting the distributor to OBD1 because the H23a does not have a CPS. You have to do the oil pump swap in order to use the original cps connecter from the harness. Since I went with doing the OBD2 to OBD1, I had to get an OBD1, TD60u distributor from a 4th gen prelide SI with a h22 vtec. Then I had to get a Rywire OBD2 to OBD1 distributor adaptor. Car runs fine but does have a FAKE CEL due to a OBD1 distributor.
So the good news is that the stock ecu does work with the h23a swap. Unfortunately, since I live in California, the emissions are a bit harder to pass. I might have to change the oil pump in order to remove the CEL to do emissions.
2 guys talking about it but I havent seen either of them actually unbolting anything. o yeh get some mounts .!!thanks for the tips.
H23A 💪💪💪
Hey brother
Would you like to to post a picture of Dizzy wire diagram? Color to color
Please- Thanks!
I have an h23 for a cd5.
In the process of doing the h23a vtec swap in my 5th gen what starter do I need
You can use a regular 5th gen base starter

If you ran a jdm obd1 p13 ecu with a conversion harness, would you still be able to start your car with OBD2 fuel injectors?
@@johnanderson9175 you should be able too
I have a 2001 prelude , will the stock ecu (computer) work with the H23A swap?? Does you prelude still pass emissions test with the swap?

Can B20 fit for this car ?
I am not too sure.
For ludes, the b20 will work for the 3rd gen. I have not read too much about the b20 in the 4th gen or 5th gen.
