Excellent. I didn't realize you could use acoustic drums with the Beat Sequencer. When you cover a topic, I almost always find out something new and useful, even with the most basic stuff.
This makes so much sense. GB can be a great tool for learning, for trying stuff out, for making music of course, and for so many other things. In fact it’s quite a beast now. I play some nonsense guitar, and also do a few other things, including learning Logic, but GB could definitely be a great addition - as a learning tool too. On a side note, this is why people find it so hard to leave the Apple universe. Remember?.. this app is free.
I have been struggling w/ GB for years . I keep trying to put stuff together and it ends horribly. I just learned several new thinks that I think will help. Thank you!
Not sure I understand your reply. The piano is a Roland FP-30, so fairly certain it's not fake! And why would I want less keys? 88 is the standard number for a full piano. Of course, you may be being humorous and I am missing the gag.
@@DanBakerMusic Cheers, Dan. That makes sense. I stumbled across your channel a week or so ago and love what you are doing. Thoroughly enjoyed the studio tour and what you are showing about iPad GarageBand, as a new iPad owner and GarageBand user - thank you!
After viewing this episode Dan, i have wish for more om different drum theory & rythm. It was amazing how much the volume and accentuation of different drum parts play in the overall feel of the groove. Anyway.. Thank You! :)

Wonderful exposition, clearly expressed. Five stars. The highlight, of course, is you doing Beatbox to 'Shaft'...
great video!
That was awesome! I learned aton! Thanks
Thank you very much!
Great content for a bedroom hacker like me Dan😁 subd👍

this was super educational ngl 😹
Hi Dan... great. A suggestion if you don't mind. Teach us how to explore garage band to produce originals productions. Thank you

I’m starting to wonder if this app is actually helping me get ready to play an instrument and memorize which notes are where...
The whole app is a work of utter genius..

Glad it helped Kyle!
Thanks you.
I thought C4 was middle C - it's certainly the 4th C up from the bottom of my 88 key piano?!
*raises umbrella to stave off barrage of obviousness!!*
It’s time to change the piano. That’s a fake one you have. Or, you may want to get less keys.

Yamaha and Roland did have a war with whether it was C4 or C3, but C3 is the Roland standard, MIDI note 60.
