Wow! This video should be mandatory in classrooms with kids through age 18. It's especially important for them to know that their "malfunction" isn't one and that they can function no matter what. And they're not alone. And there's joy everywhere if you look for it (like this song and this channel).
I’m so happy you’re enjoying Hatchworth, but this is far from his first song with the band. This is a song from the last album Hatchworth took part in, Quintessential. His first album with the band was Mk III and the first song he wrote and sang in for the band was Please Explain, followed by Hatch Fever and Fancy Shoes. Hatchworth’s actor, Sam Luke wrote this song with Rabbit’s access, Isabella Bennett! All the members of SPG including a walter worker can be seen out of makeup holding signs along with their fans :D
Oh, I had no idea you'd reacted to Steam Powered Giraffe before! I have so much love for them, and Hatchworth is actually my favourite of all the 'bots! He made his debut live in November 2012, and was the third member from _MK III_ through _Quintessential._ His introduction song is "Hatch Fever," and I definitely recommend checking it out; it's a ton of fun.
I knew I would love your reaction the Steam Powered Giraffe, clicked on it as soon as I saw it. They have such wonderful, rich harmonizing -- absolutely love 'em My favorite is still Brass Goggles, but pretty much anything they sing is adored. Take care
Thank you, DJ, for the reaction! It has been a joy being in the herd and a part of the patreon, but life has other plans. I may pop in from time to time when I'm able. I do hope you find a way to react to more SPG, they are so good and underrated. They have so many songs that are reaction worthy and I am grateful I got 3 in front of you. T.T.F.N. ta ta for now!
Definitely one of my top two SPG songs, probably #1. Makes me cry a lot. I think my sign today would be autism, anxiety, and depression (one of those very new); other options are and have been available (when it came out I'd have probably gone for chronic pain, which I am very glad to be rid of). Glad you are managing your ADHD well!
I too have recently discovered SPG. Honeybee randomly popped up one evening and I've been hooked since. I watched your reaction to Honeybee - loved it. This reaction video for Malfunction was my first exposure to this song. I enjoyed the journey with you and agree with all the points you made and stops in the video. You HAVE to react to Transform.
Found you through your Epic reactions, but it's beyond wild to me that you are doing reactions to SPG. I first saw this band while walking through a park in San Diego on a whim over ten years ago and they have stuck with me this whole time. Love your reactions to them, you should check out their song Suspender Man, its one of my favs.
The other was my reaction to Captian Albert Alexander which was a part of my monthly live stream. I will be releasing it soon to all my patreons from the $5 tier up and my youtube memebers on the same level and then it will go on the main channel at a future date when I have a free day :)
If you wanna hear more of Hatchworth, I recommend that you listen to "Fancy shoes". You can really hear his insane range.

Here’s a hint if you want to find some of them: Isabella and David (Rabbit and the Spine) both wink at the camera during their sign segments

Brass Goggles is one of my faves

All three members are out of make-up and holding rheir own signs. I love them, my absolute favorite song of theirs.

You SOOOOOO need to react to SPG's Hot on the Trail! It's more of a solo piece by Spine and the acting and cinematics are FREAKING INCREDIBLE.

I've always wondered what it was like for people who randomly stumbled upon them busking in Balboa Park. What was your first reaction seeing them?
Wait wait wait you've done 2 other videos?! I've seen the Honeybee reaction, what is the other one and can I watch it?
