Not only it looks amazing, but it also has a clever use of pieces for a different purpose, like the gun as a faucet, and the Thor's hammer as the support stones - I think you can even twist each of them a little to give a realist random stone look.
I love all the little pieces. It makes Lego seem real... Wonderful stuff!
This looks like an amazing set! I look forward to getting and building it. I sure hope it doesn't go immediately out of stock like The Great Wave did (in less than 2 weeks after release!). Can't wait to see where you place it in the city!

As a Londoner, having grown up in the city and never been in a cabin in my life, this set shouldn’t really speak to me but it does! I want it.

Thanks for your very detailed review. This should be a kind of city sub theme. So many people are nature lovers. Lego really need to make more sets about outdoor vacation hiking camping.

In the process of building it. Absolutely loving all the designs and details.
I myself really like the architecture of the A-frame house. The outside is very clever. I love the trees and the colors. But i am not a fan of the inside. As you pointed out the odd placement of the chairs. I like it all too much. The kitchen area and the typewriter would be the best part of the inside. I was at the LEGO store today and saw it built. I will still give it three thumbs up 👍👍👍

Really want this set. It just looks so cozy. Saving for AT-AT, so maybe get this sometime later this year. New set though, so no rush.
You just need to make sure everything is FIRMLY set when building and the top lines up fine it seems. I have seen several of your builds where you don’t fully connect pieces, check your work friend! 😊 Great review, thanks Bricksie!

Yeah I did ask during the live build whether the sides were stable, they probably needed a better connection between them and the model. Another case where lego cut corners. Guess it's better than the hulk buster, where the shoulders were and feet fell apart.
I gotta have it! I’ve stayed in a A-frame cabin before in VA and it reminds me so much of that one. Except it did have indoor plumbing! 😂

I believe the white door next to the outdoor shower is a towel and not toilet paper. The set looks great, might have to look into get one for myself!

if you want something else to go with those and you’re okay not using Lego, the Lakeside Lodge from FunWhole comes with lights and it goes with these really well

This cabin is so cool! I can't wait to pick it up and build it! The technique with the Thor hammers is super unique as well as the design for the rocking chair. On of my favorite elements in this set would probably be the Amafist! It's super cool. Thanks for the awesome detailed review!
I love how Lego is using bricks for many different purposes..but those trees are so much better on the original design submission!!

Was there any stickers in the set?
Its great. Glad Lego decided to pick it but as with most of these designs, I think the original concept was better. I don't understand why LEGO likes to dumb them down. The trees looked far better in the original and it had a very rustic "model" like appearance. Then lego came in a made everything essentially a generic bland family fun version.
Thor hammer for the win 😂 I'm still convincing my bank account to buy this set. And having no stickers may have a pretty convincing power 😂😂😂

ILego did put a lot of detail parts in to the cabin the stove and record player by why use older parts and not something new !
