Great presentation . It definitely intrigued me to check the language features of kotlin . I had the strong feeling of seeing JavaScript and C# style code while observing kotlin . Looking forward to Kotlin 1.0.0
Excelent presentation. I'm tempted to use Kotlin on my next project but I wish Google would have given their bless. I think I will use it on a side project.
wesjonm I played with it last year. Loved the language, but I ran into some issues (NoClassDefFoundError), and refactoring support in Android Studio was very limited in compare to working with Java ("extract to method", and that was pretty much it). I'm sure things have improved remarkably since, but it didn't feel ready for production at that time. Once it reaches that stage, I wouldn't look back - as an Android dev with .NET background I really miss C#, and a language like Kotlin would be a perfect remedy for Java's clunkiness
+mozinator1 While I agree that her nervousness makes me a bit edgy when I listen to it, I can say that I've spoken at technical conferences a couple times and it's not easy to do it smoothly without nerves. It takes a lot of practice. Kudos to her for a great talk.
