@@rickphilly1975 I know the exact reason this would be considered "sad", I just wanted to see what Mr Gosling would say. Who are you to judge if this guy wants to boost the immersion? I could make the same argument that a sim rig isn't needed either since you could just play with a controller, but you might say it's more "immersive" and "realistic". Sound familiar? You don't actually need either to play the game, yet here we are.
It's immersive for himself and especially for the viewer as in most of his vids it's hard to tell if his hands are real or not.. but I would say that the gloves also have the practical use of extra grip and comfort, especially in these long races.
I love this "in helmet" view with the visor and everything. Really gives a feeling of being in the car with you.

This race just shows it all! You were quick, but definitely not the quickest on track. But with good driving, you showed consistency and brought the result home.

@inebium he's not at rest it's uses alot of muscle to turn those wheels
@@Carlos-ip2ir sure, I have the same wheel base and heusinkveld ultimate+ and I go to 110, max 120 and really short spike. He is at 140 almost constant with spikes at 150. I'd have to run a sprint to get to 150. Hence I am curious.
I'm honestly confused about what is sim-rig and what is computer graphics?

I love these videos so much. I wish to have a rig like yours but currently have a single moniteo with a g920 haha. I can still put some decent laps down in iRacing though!

I watched everything from start to finish just like watching a movie on my TV, even my wife was like " wow this guy is fast"

This is huge pleasure watching you drive. Great skills, awesome setup. I wish I could have one, comparing to my GTX1080 keyboard rig😂, Automobilista 2/Project Cars 2 this is maximum I can play. Last weeks test of LMU was finished as a total failure, no chance to sort the settings out. Even on lows, game is not smooth. Lags all the time🙂

i was just watching you lines and thought ... try go deeper on the entry to carry more speed through out the turning, and thereby carry more speed towards next corner... overall ... i think you could 0.7-9 faster by doing this.

Well done. But why on God's green earth would you plug your wheel into a hub?? You have such an awesome rig. What do you have, a keyboard, mouse, speakers, or another piece of hardware that doesn't put so much demand on the U.S.B? Swap one of those devices to the hub and give the tower port to the wheel.
To much downshift, it's safe and slow pass. 😁🙋♂️

This is just immensely satisfying is this what iRacing can offer? I wouldn't use the vr but I am just blown away by the quality of the game. I have been playing the crap F1 22 game on series x but if this is what iRacing offers on PC you can sign me up. Great video mate

Add up all of the time you spend on the wrong side of the torque curve. You'll find a lot of time shifting when your wheel tells you to.
(well.... I did anyway. Your results may vary)
Great video but you down shift one gear too many in virtually every corner. If you're only on throttle for a fraction of a second on corner exit before needing to change up, you shouldn't have been in that gear in the first place. T1 is a good example, no need to change into 2nd at the apex lol.
Makes sense to drop down a gear for the extra rotation but it doesn't appear that's what you were trying to do here.
It was for extra rotation. Did experiment with not doing it but would always end up running wide.
For me the greatest AHA!-Moment was when I realized that you often "coast" through Corners with no Throttle at all. I really have to get rid of this bad habbit to give at all times at least a bit of Throttle. Thanks a lot for the Lesson!
when 2nd went wide and you got him. your adrenalin, as he was so close behind got
you stabbing at the steering wheel. You really lost the slow "in" , fast out steering input. really made me respect how calm the f1 drivers have to be in the heat of the moment... don't get me wrong, you deserved the win great consistency and way better than me.

I think you were loosing time by going Into 1st gear on those 2 corners before the main straight loosing almost a 10th having to shift up exiting. Try staying in second?

Does anyone know what his camera view settings are as far as lock to car and lock to horizon? I noticed that the wheel is locked to car's cockpit, but at the same time the horizon is also fairly stable and doesn't jostle around, nearly as much as I'd expect. Usually it's one or the other. Even if you set it somewhere in the middle, you'd still see the cockpit move independently of the wheel. But in this video, it looks 100% locked to the car so I expect the horizon to pitch much more than it does in his video.
Is it due to the track he's racing on just doesn't have as many bumps or is there a way to reduce the world movement effects while still keeping the wheel locked to the car? I'm running AMS2...
Horizon is completely locked so the dash doesn’t move st all.
