I love seeing these new comments. I was in the mosh when Nirvana performed in the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney in 1992, at the first Big Day Out. I still remember every moment. Roadies pouring garbage bins of water over us, it was so hot. I took my t-shirt off and lost it and had to buy a Beasts Of Bourbon t-shirt afterwards. My jeans were black from the knees down and you couldn't tell that my Converse shoes were once green. And they came on at 7pm, so by 8pm we were totally trowelled and wondering how we could back up for Violent Femmes at 10pm. We did, of course : )

he said they wouldn't let the play it cuz mtv didn't let them play it at another show. it was a bit of shade
they changed some lyrics tho
rape me is much more on the nose than polly

Pretty sure it’s “all alone is all we are” but thanks
It’s all in all trust
@@beethovensoup there seems to be some debate on the internet about it. I've seen various places say it's "all alone", "all in all", and "all in one". Maybe he sang it differently at different times? If you have a definitive source from Nirvana themselves I'd love to see it. Otherwise "all alone" makes the most sense to me so that's what I hear.
I used to think it was all we know is all we are. Still hear it
“Aqua sea foam shame” lolwut?
It’s “I’ll proceed from shame”.
I was born in 2003, but I love Nirvana. As an aspiring actor/director, I want to say Kurt truly was an inspiration. I want to make a film about him one day. A biopic that highlights his emotional struggles and how he turned that hurt into powerful music. He has impacted our world so greatly, and I want the next generations to know how great he is.
At 5:02 Two Guys Yell Out, "Play Jeremy !!" Even Kurt Got A Laugh Out Of That One. There Was So Many Comparisons (Feuds That Happened Also.) Made Between Most Of The Grunge Bands, At That Time. But It Was Such A Great Time Period For Music, For Us In Our Teens And 20's...Saving Us From The Repetitious Glam Bands Of The Late 80's. As Soon As Nirvana Nevermind Came Out, Along With Many Other Great Bands, The 80's Band Scene Disappeared Overnight. True Story.. I Lived And Loved Those Years. 👍👍
Love watching old Nirvana concerts I can find which are really new to me tbh. I'm only 21 lol love Foo Fighters too.
I love hearing Kurt and Daves voices blend so beautifully.. UGHHHHH
THIS, this right here is my favorite Nirvana song, the lyrics are strange yet beautiful at the same time and Kurt's voice is so haunting that it makes this song so much better. Plus the MTV Unplugged version is way better than the album version in my opinion.
Favorite all time Nirvana song. Love the guitar intro. Melts my heart every time I listen to it.
can't stop humming this when I'm all by myself
This unplugged version still gives me chills when i hear it to this day!
Damn it feels like all this happened just a few months ago... now it's almost 30 years since he passed... I was only 11 but he changed my live and touched my heart already at that young age...and it still makes me sad, depressed and cry...we're getting old guys!
This is the best of the best unplugged ever...
When I hear this, as beautiful as it is, I can't help wishing that Kurt had fallen into a more stable relationship and I wonder... would he still be with us.
I mean it's so beautiful and vulnerable...
Nirvana 4ever
Kurt & Dave harmonizing is everything.....
Legend has it, they're still calling out requests to this day... in an alternative universe.
This will never get old 👌👌
Braunld ?
The audience asking for some songs not knowing that 'Where did you sleep last night?' will capture the most iconic and penetrating stare in rock history.
Why?
I just want to know, sorry. No hate
@@hexterzerda near at the end of the final song, Kurt does that haunting stare, you should see it. And adding the fact that the stage looks like a funeral seven months before taking his own life, you could tell something wasn't right.
@ ohh before he sings the last line which is "Night Through!"
Is that it? When he sings " I would shiver" then he takes a deep breath with eyes wide open. Am I right?
They are good therapy for me the best concert MTV filmed hands down
I love how Kurt didn't say anything to Krist and after he said sorry they restarted without a hitch
I just want to say the audio and video of this is incredible! To think this concert was in 1993 and the picture and sound is so clear it's awesome. I put it on and listen to it as loud as I can! Watching Kurt is a mesmerizing experience! He was a beautiful man inside and out!! I hope this video never gets old!
RIP Kurt Cobain...we all love you!! ❤️🤗❤️😥🙏🙏
❤✌
almost 23 now and I remember playing this when I was in a dark place at 13. glad to still be here to enjoy the music, wish Kurt was too. 🤍 I also have a birthday the day before Kurt’s so I always do something in remembrance of him too.
Best early Christmas gift ever
Mosh
Really couldn’t be asked to read all that. Nice essay.

I’ve watched this concert so many times on RUclips. It never gets old!
I love how much they talk to each other. Love it
I wasn’t born by the time Kurt died but i just wanna say Kurt, Chris and Dave are amazing and i wish i had gotten to see them perform together live
Всему свое время, брат! Настоящее бесценный дар!
Pat, also. He joined the band a few years after they got their start, but had Kurt lived abd Nirvana continued on for years to come, Pat no doubt would’ve been there with them.
Was insanely fortunate. I saw them before and after signing with Geffen and they stopped by KDVS when I was aDJ there so I interviewed them (mostly Kurt- who swore on air and n ‘89 that was scandalous). The first time was not great. The second time they opened up for Sonic Yourh in Sacramento at the Crest Theater and am still claiming it was the best Rock show I’ve ever seen. (The Crest show is on RUclips btw)
He helps me express myself and feel my feelings. The music resonates and his voice just goes right to heart to squeeze out the feelings .
He cared about his fans.
Kurt said in his Canadian interview when they said it was too rough for Musak, Kurt said we have pretty songs too, this is one of those pretty songs too Kurt.
I’ve watched this so many times during quarantine. I would never tire of it. Thank you RUclips🙏
I've never watched the end after the song before, but thank God he chose the song he did, and didn't listen to the audience requests. I didn't realize "Where did You Sleep Last Night" was only sang on a whim until today.
Such an amazing song, and I actually prefer this version to the originally recorded one. The live nature just packs in the emotion.
I wish I could go back in time just to be at this concert 😭❤️
I love the part when Kurt says: Come as you are , as you were As I want you to be.
Cant get enough of the guy.so unique, cant find any fault,in the sun we feel as one.he makes me feel like I belong to something.love u kurt

The captions for this perfect and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them
Deep lyrics. Love this song so much. All alone is all we are.
He seems so cool and mellow and polite he says I'm sorry it's the last song of the night, He doesn't seem to be ego driven or even rude or aggressive.
He is so cool , and look so rad.
I love her green cardigan.
Kurt is a great human being with an angel soul. We just can feel it through his voice and his guitare tones and how he plays it and the way he feels his words
A great human being? He killed himself leaving a three year old daughter without a dad.
He was on heroin here, keep that in mind.
@@TheDankiz how would you know he was on heroin here?
@@faroukbenm4799 I am sorry, he was on Valium during the performance, not Heroin.
