As much as I would love to dog pile on Lopez, I think there were more to this crazy game than his 4 missed FT's and a TO: - DLSU MISSED 11 FT's DURING THE 4TH QTR (this needs emphasis as this is alarming af) - DLSU bricked their 3 pointers almost the entire game with only one or two made before the 4th qtr run - DLSU's botched a 3 on 1 fastbreak to probably seal the game with seconds left on the clock - DLSU was evidently gassed out with players like Macalalag cramping out after making a 3 in the 4th qtr. - UP had their usual 3rd qtr onslaught (up by 8 at the end) and they are 12-0 when leading after the 3rd. - UP shot way better than DLSU with 4 players in double figures (3 of them had 16) - UP sustained a good lead most of the 4th qtr and were up by 7 with around 3 mins left in the game - UP crowd already eating up the MOA Arena as DLSU were already on the ropes - (Hot Take) Refs seemingly favored UP more with their calls/non-calls TL;DR - UP played a near-perfect game while DLSU struggled with the abysmal shooting. We were at death's door until KQ in 4th qtr just refused to lose and did one of the most "King Archer" moments in UAAP history.
Man, I've been waiting for you guys to post an episode!!! But truly, this was nothing short of a miracle. Even Coach Topex could not believe what happened.

As most LS supporters were resigned to a defeat in the last 3 minutes, the UP team was also poised to celebrate. Unfortunately, their mind couldn't be taken off from a victory and when Lasalle made a run, they didn't know how to go back playing basketball.

KQ show he was truely an MVP… he put his team in his back in the crucial minutes of the game… all of scores and assist in the last 2 minutes he was in the middle of it..

This was by far the most intense and miracle-based game! whether crappy or not, we escaped by a hair's width. Admittedly, our Gang Green needed the Mental Toughness emphasized by MVP KQ. In short, #Angas and #KILLERinstinct from the tip-off until the last buzzer. The marooned birds are well-planned and prepared to clobber us, however, we can punch them in the nose with our proverbial press, defense, offense, physicality. If they are hungrier... we must be the most hungry and angry team for a championship. Let us not experiment further - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have to disagree that we had a great crowd last Wednesday, been watching live since 2002 and i can say di na tayo ganun ka-ingay. Question, humina na ba talaga tayo mag cheer or mas wild lang talaga ang UP crowd?
@RBYO as someone who's been watching games live since 2011 - our crowd isn't really known to be vocal since then. It was a little flustering to see because back when I was younger, the La Salle crowd exuded that angas that helped the players show it on the court as well. From what I've been noticing, we have a small group of people (like me, I'd like to think) who'd cheer their hearts out throughout the game. Surely a minority nonetheless. Our crowd feeds off energy from our players when it should be the other way around. As to what we can do about it, it's something the whole community can only answer. I urge everyone watching the games live to do their part.

I just thought that the law of averages finally caught up to them after the hot shooting and great defense all throughout the game. We were ass from our set 3 point plays and FT shooting especially in the 4th. We were even turning the ball over in the crucial stages of the 4th. We (or in this case KQ) we're the ones who dug ourselves from the grave. They did not give it to us. We took it from them. With that said, These odds give me better hope for Sunday because if we actually play our own brand of basketball and we make our open shots, we're gonna go back to back.

Crucial timing of raven gonzales' baskets really helped made it manageable and avoided DLSU to fall into a bigger hole.
