Hey Gautam, I’d like to add here: I have uploaded half of the documents in the “Proof of Relationship to Sponsor” and the other half in the “Proof of Relationship” section,rather than uploading in the”Other” section. For mandatory documents like Birth certificates, PCC and Photos, I have uploaded just the passport size photos to the “Photos” section and made a PDF for 20 Photos with label and a separate PDF doc for context, uploading them under the “Proof of Relationship” category. Just trying to make it more organized for whoever is reading the comments. 😊 Lots of Blessings to you and your family. ❤❤
I thank you for putting out detailed instructions in every video. I was able to complete the sponsorship application easily with no hiccups. I submitted the application for my wife on August last year and got COPR yesterday. I especially liked the "industry standard" for non-expiring (9999/12/31) detail you mentioned :) . @@snehalouis7142 It will come soon. Every application is different so it takes its own time. IRCC says they will process 80% of the applications within an year. So don't worry, you should get COPR very soon. For me I got COPR and the next day the background and eligibility got completed. It's weird!

Hello I applied on 25 July 2023 for PR application. In new portal I saw they have issued COPR . Can see document number in document section. But when i called them they said your application is still in progress. What does this mean. Also they informed me they have shared me assessment mail which i have not received they had raised enquiry for it but no update yet. They had sent mail on 12 Jan 2024. Can you help me here.
I encountered the same problem today and found a workaround/solution. I logged out and logged back in Firefox I looked at the 'Document type' drop down list and it now has 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document'. Previously it didn't had it. I uploaded my passport in this new 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document' category I deleted my previous upload of my passport under a different category Still the Submit button was greyed out, so I filled and signed the consent form once again. Now, the Submit button was enabled and I was able to submit the application. So, for users who have uploaded their passport in the old, not so exact, ID categories, they need to upload it in 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document' and the key is to sign the consent form again and then the submit option will be enabled. :)

I bought her a one way ticket to Canada in July. She has a Canadian tourist Visa already, and visited me once before, but will immigration refuse her to come in because she has only a 1 way ticket? We don't really know what to tell immigration when she lands? Should we just say she is visiting? When entering the name for my mother (Russian), should I write it out in her native language (Russian) or in "my" native language, Bengali? Similarly, when entering my spouse's (Canadian) name, should I just leave it in English or also write that in "my" native language, Bengali?

Just one more question when my wife and I first filled out the 3 digital forms that are mandatory, ie, the 1344, 0008 and 5669 they were in PDF form, at the time we download and signed them and sent them back to the legal team that I had hired at the time, so I'm not sure how they process them? Then I am guessing when they (my ex-legal team) uploaded them to our portal they automatically convert into the online filler form, which have no bar codes, correct? I know when I sent back these forms in PDF form to my legal team they had barcodes at the bottom. We are just curious and want to make sure there is no more signatures physically required in these three forms, 1344, 0008 and 5669? And what becomes of these PDFs of said forms? Thank you !

I certainly wish I would've found your channel about a year ago I could have saved so much money and time, but I digress I just have a couple short questions for you if you would be so kind. -Last year before my wife and I were married she was twice denied a visitor by IRCC, (she is Colombian by the way and Canada is extremely "diligent" if I can say that when it comes to allowing Colombians to visit Canada) we are in the very final throes of the sponsorship visa since we are married now and I'm just wondering if it's worth mentioning in an introduction letter about these previous visitor visa denials? I realize the visitor visa vs sponsorship visa are two completely different things. As well there is no requirement to mention previous visitor visa denials on a sponsorship visa (from what I've researched) but I'm just wondering if it would be better to be completely transparent when I submit the application? Thank you !
You should mention previous rejections for visitor visa. In fact, there is a section in the form 5669 that will specifically ask you a "yes/no" question for previous rejections of any visa to canada. Answer truthfully, it will serve you well. Having had a rejection of visitor visa in the past does not in any way affect the spousal sponsorship application as long as there is no severe criminal record of the applicant. This new application will be evaluated separately, on its own merits and demerits. Decisions on previous applications rarely contaminate the officer's decision on the new application of a completely different stream. Also, when the PA lands in canada upon completion of the process, the officer is almost guaranteed to ask about previous rejections. So, transparency is the key to residency here.
@@HitSubmitCanada I thank you so much for your sound advice I truly appreciate it! It is what I was planning to do in any case how you said complete transparency. What's really interesting though I hired a well-known "immigration law firm" they have an office in Vancouver and one in Toronto. My wife and I had worked with them since June 2022. And I'm not here to use your platform to defend them and I won't name them, however I wasted six months and well over $4500.00. Among other things when I mentioned this to them several times that my wife had previously been rejected for visitors visa they literally told me "don't mention it it doesn't matter" which I found it very odd. Couple weeks ago when they told us we were ready to submit I was reviewing the forms and on the 5476 appointing of a representative my signature was missing yet we had thoroughly gone over 'all" signatures in January. But I digress, I officially fired them yesterday because they gave us so much misinformation and often times it would be well over a week before they would respond to a simple question , we just could not afford to lose any more time and money. Our application is 99% done now. An honest legitimate agency in Calgary is just reviewing it for a very reasonable fee. This agent is truly amazing she has given us great feedback just in a couple days and I've been talking with her. However like I said I wish I would have found your channel a year ago I probably would be in Canada right now with my wife. Thank you again for your great videos and advice.
Hi, can you help me, I am confused, Do you the sponsor make an online applicant and also the principal applicant (person you are sponsoring) make another online application? OR is it just ONE online application done by the sponsor? (Because it said the principal applicant will upload)
1) Some application are returned to be hand signed for form 1344. Is it ok if we digitally sign and then take a print and hand sign it too ? 2) Also important question - can I only take print of signature page and hand sign and take a scan of that single page and re-combine with the other pages ? this way only one page with signature of the pdf is scanned and stamps of validation are not scanned .. is this okay ?

Hi IMM 5406 i can see title 'Enter all names in English and in your native language (for example, Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Korean or Japanese script or Chinese commercial/telegraphic code).' but when i go inside 'Name' box is cming in disable mode and all names coming from profile page so how can add names in English and native ? Even i tried to update profile name box but it having 21 char limit.

Also, do they need to write their name in English and native language? Asking this because the digital form is directly pulling applicant and spouse info from the profile in all forms. Most forms require the names to be written in English and native language

Sponsor can help but account has to be under PA’s email. if Sponsor’s email address is provided as point of contact(in 0008 and 1344), then sponsor is unpaid representative.

hi suyash, I came across a little confusion while filling out IMM 5669/Schedule A. It says on the start of every section that write all names in the native language also. So if I have to fill in my education background, should I have to write the college/institution names in native language also? For all information other than people’s names, You can use abbreviations if the names are too long. and then Provide a separate word document with details.

Hey Suyash. I got an email from IRCC saying they are returning my PR application because the office we submitted to processes family class sponsorship where the principal applicant resides in canada. Now im unsure what this means. In our case, both the sponsor and PA reside out of Canada and the sponsor is a canadian citizen. We applied under Family Class outside Canada. Do you have any idea about this? We've followed all of your videos to fill out our application and honestly you were the first that came to mind when we got this email. Thank you for your videos!
This looks like an error on their part. best option is to Contact them and inform them of this situation. Not really sure how its going to go but worth a shot finding out what actually happened. you can raise GCMS notes for more detail on why they returned this application.

One thing that I'm not clear on: is this pr portal only for Canadian citizens who live in Canada? I ask because my wife, who is Canadian, is sponsoring me (English) and we live together in London, and so she hasn't lived in Canada for 4 years now. So she is still able to sponsor me but I assumed she isn't a permanent resident anymore and therefore we can't use the online portal and need to do it via the pdf route..
PR portal is for applicants(You in this case, the one applying for PR). As a sponsor(whether PR or citizen) she has little to do with the portal. It's you who creates the account and submits the application. She simply signs the forms and gives them to you to upload. Her living in Canada or outside Canada has nothing to do with your ability to use the portal. In short, you can and should use the portal to submit the application. Paper route is no longer being accepted

When I applied to sponsor my spouse( March 10) I held a Permanent residence status and now I am a citizen. Today I got an email saying my application to sponsor is recieved and I got a file number. We received notice that our application has been received which allowed me as the sponsor to open an account. I did that and created a password and then later when I went into the account again, it said my password was invalid so I created another one which got me into my account . But later, when I went back into my account again it tells me that my password is incorrect. I write the password down on paper in front of me so that it will always be accurate and I don’t make a mistake. Any idea as to why there is a password problem? Has anyone else experienced this?

I looked at the 'Document type' drop down list and it now has 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document'. Previously it didn't had it.
I uploaded my passport in this new 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document' category
I deleted my previous upload of my passport under a different category
Still the Submit button was greyed out, so I filled and signed the consent form once again.
Now, the Submit button was enabled and I was able to submit the application.
So, for users who have uploaded their passport in the old, not so exact, ID categories, they need to upload it in 'Passport or Other Primary ID Document' and the key is to sign the consent form again and then the submit option will be enabled. :)

I bought her a one way ticket to Canada in July. She has a Canadian tourist Visa already, and visited me once before, but will immigration refuse her to come in because she has only a 1 way ticket? We don't really know what to tell immigration when she lands? Should we just say she is visiting? Should we say she is going to apply for PR and that we will buy a ticket to leave if the application fails?
Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a return ticket we might not even use?

Since she has a valid visitor visa, she wont be refused just because she has a one way ticket. She will be fine.

When entering the name for my mother (Russian), should I write it out in her native language (Russian) or in "my" native language, Bengali? Similarly, when entering my spouse's (Canadian) name, should I just leave it in English or also write that in "my" native language, Bengali?

Just one more question when my wife and I first filled out the 3 digital forms that are mandatory, ie, the 1344, 0008 and 5669 they were in PDF form, at the time we download and signed them and sent them back to the legal team that I had hired at the time, so I'm not sure how they process them? Then I am guessing when they (my ex-legal team) uploaded them to our portal they automatically convert into the online filler form, which have no bar codes, correct? I know when I sent back these forms in PDF form to my legal team they had barcodes at the bottom. We are just curious and want to make sure there is no more signatures physically required in these three forms, 1344, 0008 and 5669? And what becomes of these PDFs of said forms? Thank you !

Hello and thanks again for another great video! I certainly wish I would've found your channel about a year ago I could have saved so much money and time, but I digress I just have a couple short questions for you if you would be so kind.
-Last year before my wife and I were married she was twice denied a visitor by IRCC, (she is Colombian by the way and Canada is extremely "diligent" if I can say that when it comes to allowing Colombians to visit Canada) we are in the very final throes of the sponsorship visa since we are married now and I'm just wondering if it's worth mentioning in an introduction letter about these previous visitor visa denials? I realize the visitor visa vs sponsorship visa are two completely different things. As well there is no requirement to mention previous visitor visa denials on a sponsorship visa (from what I've researched) but I'm just wondering if it would be better to be completely transparent when I submit the application? Thank you !
You should mention previous rejections for visitor visa. In fact, there is a section in the form 5669 that will specifically ask you a "yes/no" question for previous rejections of any visa to canada. Answer truthfully, it will serve you well. Having had a rejection of visitor visa in the past does not in any way affect the spousal sponsorship application as long as there is no severe criminal record of the applicant. This new application will be evaluated separately, on its own merits and demerits. Decisions on previous applications rarely contaminate the officer's decision on the new application of a completely different stream. Also, when the PA lands in canada upon completion of the process, the officer is almost guaranteed to ask about previous rejections. So, transparency is the key to residency here.
@@HitSubmitCanada I thank you so much for your sound advice I truly appreciate it! It is what I was planning to do in any case how you said complete transparency. What's really interesting though I hired a well-known "immigration law firm" they have an office in Vancouver and one in Toronto. My wife and I had worked with them since June 2022. And I'm not here to use your platform to defend them and I won't name them, however I wasted six months and well over $4500.00. Among other things when I mentioned this to them several times that my wife had previously been rejected for visitors visa they literally told me "don't mention it it doesn't matter" which I found it very odd. Couple weeks ago when they told us we were ready to submit I was reviewing the forms and on the 5476 appointing of a representative my signature was missing yet we had thoroughly gone over 'all" signatures in January. But I digress, I officially fired them yesterday because they gave us so much misinformation and often times it would be well over a week before they would respond to a simple question , we just could not afford to lose any more time and money. Our application is 99% done now. An honest legitimate agency in Calgary is just reviewing it for a very reasonable fee. This agent is truly amazing she has given us great feedback just in a couple days and I've been talking with her. However like I said I wish I would have found your channel a year ago I probably would be in Canada right now with my wife. Thank you again for your great videos and advice.

1) Some application are returned to be hand signed for form 1344. Is it ok if we digitally sign and then take a print and hand sign it too ?
2) Also important question - can I only take print of signature page and hand sign and take a scan of that single page and re-combine with the other pages ? this way only one page with signature of the pdf is scanned and stamps of validation are not scanned .. is this okay ?

IMM 5406 i can see title 'Enter all names in English and in your native language (for example, Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Korean or Japanese script or Chinese commercial/telegraphic code).' but when i go inside 'Name' box is cming in disable mode and all names coming from profile page so how can add names in English and native ?
Even i tried to update profile name box but it having 21 char limit.

Also, do they need to write their name in English and native language? Asking this because the digital form is directly pulling applicant and spouse info from the profile in all forms. Most forms require the names to be written in English and native language

Sponsor can help but account has to be under PA’s email. if Sponsor’s email address is provided as point of contact(in 0008 and 1344), then sponsor is unpaid representative.

I came across a little confusion while filling out IMM 5669/Schedule A.
It says on the start of every section that write all names in the native language also. So if I have to fill in my education background, should I have to write the college/institution names in native language also? For all information other than people’s names, You can use abbreviations if the names are too long. and then Provide a separate word document with details.

Hey Suyash. I got an email from IRCC saying they are returning my PR application because the office we submitted to processes family class sponsorship where the principal applicant resides in canada.
Now im unsure what this means. In our case, both the sponsor and PA reside out of Canada and the sponsor is a canadian citizen. We applied under Family Class outside Canada. Do you have any idea about this?

This looks like an error on their part. best option is to Contact them and inform them of this situation. Not really sure how its going to go but worth a shot finding out what actually happened. you can raise GCMS notes for more detail on why they returned this application.
I'm still confused about sign as it shows on your passport. When I sign my passport is my full name as Kbelo Martins, but the printed part ( from the government) says Martins , Wendel.... my last name comes first. Which one should I use to sign? Thabk you for your videos.

One thing that I'm not clear on: is this pr portal only for Canadian citizens who live in Canada? I ask because my wife, who is Canadian, is sponsoring me (English) and we live together in London, and so she hasn't lived in Canada for 4 years now. So she is still able to sponsor me but I assumed she isn't a permanent resident anymore and therefore we can't use the online portal and need to do it via the pdf route..
PR portal is for applicants(You in this case, the one applying for PR). As a sponsor(whether PR or citizen) she has little to do with the portal. It's you who creates the account and submits the application. She simply signs the forms and gives them to you to upload. Her living in Canada or outside Canada has nothing to do with your ability to use the portal. In short, you can and should use the portal to submit the application. Paper route is no longer being accepted

Hi, my husband wants to sponsor me and I am on work permit and we both are living in Canada. Can you please advise if we should apply on our own ??
We received notice that our application has been received which allowed me as the sponsor to open an account. I did that and created a password and then later when I went into the account again, it said my password was invalid so I created another one which got me into my account . But later, when I went back into my account again it tells me that my password is incorrect. I write the password down on paper in front of me so that it will always be accurate and I don’t make a mistake.
Any idea as to why there is a password problem? Has anyone else experienced this?
