Good ole Duolingo 🙄It seems no matter what language I’m trying to learn, the woman is always “eating an apple” or bread...the man is always “drinking water”. He’s very hydrated, whatever the country. 🤦🏼♀️
Hello, I'm Swedish and I think that your pronunciation was very understanable, although very clearly foreign. I think the trickiest parts for Swedish pronunciation is probably the pitch accent and getting the vowels right. Also you made some mistakes where you put stress on the wrong syllable :) I greatly enjoy your content and am looking forward to see how you improve :)
Congratulations! Thanks for showing the result of your one-week challenge. This video will give people a clearer understanding about how effective the new crown system is! Motivational and helpful as ever! Thank you!
I'm so impressed with your clearly natural talents for learning languages and I wish I could learn a couple more myself. I've had friends that have move to Sweden and have been trying to speak Sweden for a year and more and I would say that some of your pronunciations are even better, which shocks me cuz like 7 hrs only??? wtf, but as I listen I think the only thing I hear wrong the first time was when you said ''kultur'' which sounded like ''Kontor'' which means office so as a constructive criticism I would say to listen a bit more of how native speaker pronouns the vowels...other than that again I'M SO IMPRESSED!! great job!
Very good. One thing is that for normal conversations, you're putting very hard endings on like jag and och and mycket. Usually those are softer endings, so jag becomes ja and och become like o, etc. Unless you're saying them separately or trying to emphasize. But great job. 😎
Hi Gabriel - great video. I'm not Swedish but I speak it reasonably well, after about 2 years learning (1 year fairly heavily and 1 year not so much) - I know it's been a while since you made this, so you've probably learned a lot since then... but to me it sounds like you're trying a bit too hard with your accent. Almost like you're trying to sound 'European'... but Swedish isn't really like other European languages. I want to do a video on accents soon, but generally I think if one focuses on the BIG things (like for example, the pitch thing), then all the little things come.
What will really help your accent is being able to understand the flow of Swedish. As Swedish is described as being sing-song in it’s cadence, that is the biggest challenge that I think you are struggling with. Also there is the question of finding where the stress falls on vowels within the words. Your accent isn’t bad, but to me I think it sounds quite Russian almost. The Swedish pronunciation is quiet difficult , I would say that I find it to be one of the most difficult of Germanic languages. However it is one of the easiest grammatically I would say. I am a native english speaker, but speak Swedish at a fluent level. But yeah, overall great job with initial pronunciation! You just need to work around the stress and cadence of the language.
Det var väldigt bra Rafael, jag bor i Finland och kan jag prata på svenska och finska, du valde ett av de vackert språk i världen, aldrig sluta, fortsätt det. Hejdå! It was very good Raphael, I live in Finland and I can speak in Swedish and Finnish, you chose one of the beautiful languages in the world, never stop, keep it going. Bye!
Everything was understandable, pretty much the same accents as all new swedish speakers, only missed perfect grammer two or maybe three times. Altogethär very impressive
Estou estudando inglês sozinho a 4 anos e ainda não consegui um bom nível, estudo francês e espanhol também. Você tem algum vídeo que explica como fez pra aprender?
Hi Gabriel. I see your effort to learn a new language and it's really motivating. I hope you can improve your Swedish as soon as possible. Saludos desde Perú :)

Or in French it’s an orange or croissant
it's meant to help you get started into a language, not get you fluent in it

And then you come to Sweden, find out people have different dialects and that you can't understand 80% of them hahaha
You won’t have trouble with Norwegian after this.

Would it be good to learn two germanic languages at the same time, like german and swedish, or would that mess everything up?
