we have all sinned, and broken God’s law (the Ten Commandments). When a person breaks the law, they are then considered a criminal, and to bring justice, the judge must sentence/judge them according to their wrongdoings. No matter how big or small the crime, a person who breaks the law is a criminal, and are not judged by their good deeds but by what they have done wrong. For example; a m**der cannot say “I donated millions of dollars to an orphanage, you should let me go, look at all the good I’ve done.” Criminals are only judged for their wrongdoing, to let them go because of the “good” that they’ve done would be unjust. So those who have broken God’s law will be judged for their lawlessness, not the good that they’ve done. Since we have all sinned, we must be punished so that justice may take place. But if someone pays the fine for the crime we have committed we can legally walk free. Jesus took the punishment of sin, being innocent, so that all who repent of their sins and put their faith in Him may be saved. He essentially took our punishment so that we could walk free, he paid our debt. But one can accept or deny for someone to pay their fine, in like manner one can accept or deny this gift from God. If you repent of your sin (turn from it) and put your faith in Jesus, you will be saved.

I know this feeling, I have plans to do the same with pizza. There was once a pizza place that offered pizza unmatched by anything else before it, they closed up. I'd been eating this pizza my entire life and felt a part of myself lost that day. I wish to bring that magic back so I could share it with everyone.
Or when shops voluntarily close down. 😭 About 30 minutes from where I grew up, there was a Caribbean barbecue place. The owner went to Jamaica to learn how they do barbecue there. He got palmetto wood shipped in for smoking meat because that's what they use in Jamaica. They made their own ginger beer in house for cocktails. They had delicious Jamaican jerk-styled barbabcoa and they wonderful conch fritters that were my absolute favorite! Their sweet potato fries were pretty good (I wasn't a sweet potato convert yet, but I'd still eat them), and their key lime pie was so good! My mom loved their fried plantains! Everyone that went there loved their food. They became very well known, featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, as well as won several awards through the years. And then, the owner decided he was tired of owning a restaurant. Unceremoniously closed the place. Hadn't been there in a year or two because I moved farther away, but it was good enough, I would've made the trek for birthdays...looked up their hours for my birthday one year, only to discover they had closed. While I appreciate the owner wanting to close while everybody loved it, and before quality goes down, which it inevitably does once the owner becomes disinterested, I couldn't help but be sad by the loss of this local culinary powerhouse that really opened up my palate to Caribbean flavors, something that's kinda rare here in the Midwest. I just wish I could eat those conch fritters again. 😔
