3. Ram tank is mind blowing! The red and green plants and mesmerizing! Your plants look top quality! I'm so jealous. All my anubias have got some black spots on them. My lights stay on for 8 hours. Maybe it's too much lighting? Greetings from Cape Town, SA😊
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! Black spots might be a sign of BBA growth - but it's hard to say. In general you can move the plant into more shaded area, it shouldn't be directly under the light. Maybe this video will help: ruclips.net/video/3m1g-YoYm_o/видео.html

This is a fantastic fish room. I watch countless youtubers and you are by far my favorite. You seem to have an incredible understanding of algae and how to prevent it! Tank #4 is by far my favorite. I find it so amazing.

You have my dream room, there, Mat! That shelf is beautiful and apparently sturdy enough to support (combined) hundreds of liters of water! What a gorgeous display piece. Same goes for your living room display - simply stunning!
My favorite tanks (there are 2 - I just can't pick one!) are the Cory dreamland (because ermahgerd CORYS 😍) and the Dark Forest/Autumn tank - just can't get over the vibe and flow of that autumn-inspired one...

The Lobelia Iwagumi is my favorite - so cute! That Crypt Tank looks like it will be beautiful as it progresses, though. The Bad Start tank made me laugh out loud: "How bad could it have been? It was completely custom made and cannot be bought. I had to do exactly for the reason of strength but also proper looks. I'm glad you liked it!

Dear Matt, your fishroom is the most beautiful I’ve seen in over six months of planning to begin fish keeping (I have twelve large pickle jars of snails,’pods’ n plants) l wouldn’t have been able to chose between your lovely tanks but having seen the first Iwagumi I’ve realised that is what I want for my future shrimps and I can have another for my snails etc n some fish! Hello Vern! Thank you. Yes, it was custom made. I had to order it, because I wanted it to fit there and it had to be strong. Those black parts are metal beams for support.
For me, the best was a Hobbit tank, but... where is it? Iwagumi is in second place 😊 I will see how you do all the maintenence. I mean cleaning, feeding, water changing or adding. How and where do you preparing clean water and etc. Thank and God bless you!
Thank you for commenting! I took Hobbit tank down, because it ALWAYS looked the same :P Plants were all perfect, but nothing was changing there. But I'm planning small replacement for it - so don't worry ;)

I have a question, do you have any tips for good cheap lights?
I use Lumium WRGB. They are cheap and work really well. But they are difficult to buy sometimes :/
10. Bad Start Tank : It has different species of plants well integrated, it is well lit and gives space to the fish.
6. Cory Dreamland : It looks natural with light and dark parts, it looks like the cross section of an ecosystem
You keep making videos, don't worry about being a RUclipsr, imagine your 20k subscribers all together in a stadium watching your aquariums, isn't it crazy?

Not related to this topic at all but I just watches your videos on the diy co2 setup. Is it recommended to use co2 when you have quite a lot of fish in your aquarium or better safe than sorry and dont use co2? I feel like my plants could use co2 so they grow faster but im hesitant on what to do with my fishies. Also at night if the plants stop producing oxigen
You can always start with very small amounts and adjust it if needed. It's actually better this way. Sure - you can kill your fish with CO2, but lots of people are using it with no issues (including myself). In general using CO2 in most cases will help your plants assuming you have strong enough light to go with it.

It depents. I use filters in my bigger tanks but not nano. CO2 almost never (it was at the start of Ram tank - but not anymore). Fertilization strongly depends on the tank and plants. But in general I often go for very rich substrate and minimal amount of liquid fertilizers.

Are the frame of the shelves a heavy metal?
Yes. The entire shelf is custom made from metal beams. Wooden parts are just at the front.

Terribly :P But I'm getting better. Lots of zip-ties, color coding, lables etc :) I will show it someday
