Penny (the love interest) IS the admirals daughter from the first movie. She was mentioned twice (Penny Benjamin). First by Goose at the beginning of the movie when they are getting yelled at by the ships commander and again by Goose Wife (Meg Ryan) when she told Charlie that Maverik hadn't been in love with a girl since going "ballistic" over Penny back in the day. So nice that they included Val Kilmer. ❤

Remember that comment about doing a flyby over 5 control towers and one admiral's daughter in the first movie; the admiral's daughter was Penny Benjamin.
Miles Teller, the actor who plays gooses son is a spitting image of him. They did a good job in casting him in the role, I am certain that no one else could have filled that role.
The reason the flight acting is so good is because the actors were actually in the back of F-18s during filming. Tom was breathing heavy because he was actually fighting Gs. Also, in case you didn't know, Val Kilmer actually has throat cancer, and can barely whisper in real life. He wanted to be part of this movie so they wrote it in. I've also heard when he does speak it's AI doing his voice, his son, _or_ it's actually him speaking but cleaned up digitally. I can't get a straight answer on that one

Meg Ryan (Gooses Wife / Roosters mom) was a prolific actress and an American "darling" of 90s Rom Coms including some of the best ever written "When Harry Met Sally" (with Billy Crystal, Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby), "Sleepless in Seattle," and "You've Got Mail" (last two with Tom Hanks)
Technical fun facts about the Darkstar: 1) when the plane was taken out of the hangar for shooting - I don't know now if it was pulled as an empty hull or if it had motorized tires to maneuver on its own - a Chinese spy satellite took pictures of it... and there was a great deal of excitement in Beijing as to what kind of new dangerous weapon the US was going to use against them. When word got out that the Chinese had fallen for a movie prop, there was lots of laughter! 2) When the Darkstar (or the F-18 in real life) flies over the sentry box at 5:45 and the roof lifts off - that wasn't planned and wasn't in the script. It looked so cool though that of course they used it in the movie!
Nominated for 6 Oscars including Best Picture, but won for Best Sound Editing and Best Film Editing. It was one of the highest grossing movies of 2022, $1.4 billion dollars.
It got nominated for Best Picture? Seriously? I don't even pay attention anymore. Well, that definitely seals it. Top contender for all-time most overrated movie ever made. Though sadly I think it loses that fight to Black Panther.
Hey Chief...this movie is great. Gooses wife was played by the incomparable actress "Meg Ryan". She was a leading lady during the 80's-90's and was paired in some of the greatest romcom in movie history. Here are her top 5 all-time movies: Starred opposite Tom Hanks in "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail". These two are arguably in the top 10 of all-time romcoms. Starred opposite Nicholas Cage in "City of Angels". Starred opposite Denzel Washington in "Courage Under Fire". Starred opposite Billy Crystal in "When Harry Met Sally".
For Val Kilmer, you have GOT to see Tombstone. His portrayal of Doc Holliday is one of the best on-screen performances ever. Also catch him in Real Genius.. it's wonderful
Gooses wife is played by Meg Ryan. She did a lot of movies. She is most well known for When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seatle. But my favorite movie that she did is called French Kiss. It's hilarious.
Ed Harris played John Glenn in The Right Stuff - great nearly accurate astronaut movie. All flying actors were put through a mini flight training school and were filmed n the back seat of actual F18s. Cruise wanted F35s but they had too much secret tech in use. The Chinese believed the Darkstar was an actual advanced vehicle and freaked out over it.

The Navy wouldnt let Tom Cruise fly a plane of theirs solo so all of those cockpit shots, while real shots of him in a plane, are actually him in the RIO/rear seat. But they did all get in the planes for the shots which is crazy. Your observation about it looking like Tom Cruise is flying that Spitfire in the end was spot-on though, that's Cruise's personal plane and actress Jennifer Connoly agreed to go up with just him and no doubles or anything, trusting that he's a capable pilot which indeed he is.
Goose's wife was Meg Ryan. Innerspace (1987), When Harry Met Sally (1989), Sleepless In Seattle (1993), Courage Under Fire (1996), You've Got Mail (1998) and City of Angels (1998) to name but a few. She was once a film icon (mainly through the 90s).
4:11 - If you want to see Meg Ryan in some more things, besides Top Gun she's probably most famous for "Sleepless In Seattle", "You've Got Mail" and "When Harry Met Sally". Both very good and well-received movies by most people's standards, they're still very popular. You should definitely check them out at some point.
Val Kilmer's first (or 2nd) was a spoof movie done by the same guys as Airplane - it was called Top Secret! It was so great - and Val sang for it! It's a spoof of the old Elvis movies and WW2 type movies. Please add it to your list!
Goose's wife in the first one is Meg Ryan, she did a lot of rom-coms back in the day, you can see her with Tom Hanks in You've Got Mail and Sleepless In Seattle and also Joe Versus The Volcano. She also starred with Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally. In a more dramatic/romantic role you can see her with Nicholas Cage in City Of Angels.
Ooh! A fun 80s film with Val Kilmer is “Real Genius”. In that film is also Deborah Forman who plays the main character in Nic Cage’s breakout role in “Valley Girl”, an absolute classic early 80s rom-com. PLEEEEEEEEEASE react to that! No one is!
This is one of the best sequels ever made, just about a perfect film. Although my theory is that the entire film is the death dream of Mav after the Darkstar broke up...nobody walks away from that.
Depends on the design, Some of the irl X-planes in the 1950's / 60's had the entire cockpit eject from the plane.. only way the pilot would have a chance at near hypersonic & hypersonic research flights of the age..
Let me explain.... the Darkstar was built with a breakaway cockpit capsule. Especially since it was a high-speed experimental aircraft. While the plane disintegrated the cockpit remained intact during free fall. The capsule would have had automatic deployed parachutes once it reached a set altitude. That's why Maverick's flight suit didn't have a parachute. Once the capsule hit the ground, he was able to climb out and walk to the nearest town carrying his helmet.
@@AwesomeUSMoviesThey left it up to us to remember. As one of the best movies ever many fans have memorized every line of the movie. In fourth grade (1987), our teacher used to let us pick a movie to watch after x amount of good behavior days. The vote was Top Gun. (Fast Forwarded through love scene, with parent permission slips). I was a valley farm boy and had never seen anything like that before!
Isn't it fun how into-it we can get during the dogfight scenes? This movie is great in that capacity. It's so tense and captivating. I love that. I don't remember getting dizzy or anything when seeing this on the big screen. More just fascinated and sucked in.
There was also some AI involved as well. His son sounds close but not identical. The AI was used to get the sound of the voice as close as possible. There was also sound clips from other movies used as well. All three methods were combined to get the result used in the movie.
I waited for this sequel for 2yrs, the release was delayed due to the pandemic. It did not disappoint 😊Loved it!!! I saw it 3 times in theaters. You’re into the good stuff…can’t wait for Gladiator! Here are a few suggestions for the actors you mentioned. Their catalogs are extensive, but here are a few of my personal favorites. Tom has a lot of good movies but I love Far and Away Jerry Maguire Cocktail The Firm Meg Ryan- Goose’s wife You’ve Got Mail(w/ Tom Hanks) Sleepless in Seattle (w/Tom Hanks) When a Man Loves a Woman Val Kilmer Tombstone Heat
A really cute movie with Meg Ryan is French Kiss (1995). She stars with Kevin Kline. I think you would like it a lot. Edit: I really enjoyed this sequel. I have to hand it to Tom Cruise. The man spent 25+ years learning to fly a fighter jet to make this movie...
I was lowkey in love with Meg Ryan as a young lad... I think my favorite Meg Ryan movies are probably Innerspace, Joe v the Volcano, and Sleepless in Seattle. Reviewing her filmography over at Wikipedia I was surprised that I've actually seen her in not very many movies (I felt like I'd seen her in a ton of things but turns out only to be half a dozen or so, not counting the few that I only watched to skip to the "good parts" like the Doors and Flesh and Bone)... I guess when I had a boy crush that must have just developed from seeing her on TV and magazine covers all the time. Though I did have Innerspace on VHS... she's adorable in that.
The "observation booth" is actually the catapult operator's pit. It actually retracts into the deck. Love your reaction to the roof coming off the guard post. At mach 10 start a 180 degree turn over the east coast of the US heading east and you'd be over Europe before you got it turned around. Cyclone was more interested in his career than the lives of the crews.
40:15 5th generation fighters have thrust-vectoring that can allow them to in essence “turn on a dime” in this case it is footage of an Su-57 Felon. The US 5th generation closest equivalent fighters would be the F-22 and the F-35… but they don’t have the same level of thrust vectoring opting more for stealth and speed.
Actually, the F-22 does. In fact, the only measure the SU-57 Felon has on the F-22 is in Operational Range, but this can be negated as well by in flight refueling.
If you want more if Val, id suggest The Doors (he plays Jim Morrison), Ghost and the Darkness (fantastic movie based on a real events), At First Sight and of course Tombstone. Meg Ryan did a bunch of rom-coms in the 80s (a few with your man Mr Hanks actually). Miles was in the Diverhent series of films as well as the remake of Footloose. Glen Powell (Hangman) was on the Expendables 3 (also a series you should consider checking out now that you recognize more people)
Love The Doors. Went opening night in theaters and have watched it countless times. The Saint is a fun movie with Val in the leading role, too. I’m a big fan of The Divergent trilogy, too.
I feel like everyone went into this movie & left this movie swooning for Tom Cruise & or Miles Teller, meanwhile I saw Hangman & was like more Glenn Powell please 😍
He also plays astronaut “Scott Glenn” in the fantastic movie “Hidden Figures”. Although it’s before he spent 2 years in the gym. LOL Fun fact: Ed Harris who played Admiral Cain also played astronaut “Scott Glenn” in the 80’s movie “The Right Stuff”.
That plane at the end of the movie is actually Tom Cruise's P-51 Mustang and that's also Jennifer Connolly in the back seat. Some great, more recent Tom Cruise movies are Oblivion, Edge of Tomorrow and almost all of the Mission Impossible movies. Miles Teller's best movie is Whiplash.
Tom's movies are all top quality movies. I watched this movie 3 times in the cinema, loved it, especially after the lockdown, the experience was awesome. If you want to see Tom as a bad guy, a villain, you must watch Collateral. Very good movie from a very good director
Major applause, this is practically the movie of the century. 😄 I feel like they did everything right with this one. Enjoyed this immensely, thank you for giving us these reactions!
You should definitely add it to your list! Also fun fact-the director of the movie Damien Chenzelle went to my high school and he based the movie on his experiences in the Princeton High School Studio Band which has won the Berklee Jazz Festival quite a number of times!
This film was awesome in theatre. I don't go to the cinema much but I did for this 36 years after I saw the first one in cinema. Both films are excellent but this sequel is actually better. I love both movies. Been a fan of Tom Cruise for decades and he hasn't made many films I didn't love.
James, you mentioned the aspect of seeing it in theaters. I think they have theaters that are called 4-D theaters, where whenever you see movement in the movie your seat moves, or whenever there is wind, rain, snow, etc it would do that in the theater. I have wanted to go and see any movie that has insane movement like this or like Fast X, but sadly there are none near me. Oh Well
NOOOO, it wasn't the same words. This time instead of saying top men pilots it said top men and women. We rarely get recognition so we almost always notice when we do. You are not alone in not noticing it, even some women reactors have not noticed it and every man hasn't!! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤ Meg Ryan has been in a LOT of movies. If you want to see her INFAMOUS scene, watch When Harry Met Sally with Billy Crystal. THE SCENE happens in a restaurant where they are eating in a booth, although it includes another woman close to them at the end! 🤣🤣😉😉 Some Jets have JUST a pilot and others include another person in the rear seat!
I could write pages about the various things the first movie means to me, but I’ll spare that tonight. I do sometimes wonder how my life would have been different had I not turned down that invitation to the Naval Academy… The first movie was great. The second movie is even better. It just is so good. There are so many paybacks to the first movie you don’t even see unless you watch the “making of.” Like 33 rounds left at the end…the number of years between films. Jennifer Connelly’s first major role as a child actor was opposite David Bowie in Legend…and a David Bowie song is playing on the jukebox when Maverick first wanders into Penny’s bar. Stuff like that they slipped in. So much thought. So great.
Another great Tom Cruise movie is Days of Thunder. It’s a movie about NASCAR racing, so it’s action packed. My favorite Val Kilmer movie is Tombstone. He plays Doc Holiday. It’s got a great cast! Another great reaction! I love your joy and exuberance and your knowledge of so many things! ❤
I still think that Glen Powell looks more like the offspring of Meg Ryan & Anthony Edwards - he should have been cast as Rooster (no disrespect to Miles Teller because both Miles & Glen knocked their roles out of the park).
All of the flying in this movie was done by the blue angels. The roof coming off the building was real and not intended to happen. Ed Harris was told to stand behind the vehicle for the flyby but he insisted to stand in the path. It's impressive it didn't knock him over considering it moved the vehicle and took the roof off.
NASA set an absolute speed record with the X-43A Nov 16, 2004. The unmanned scramjet-powered craft was clocked at Mach 9.6. And talk about product placement. J Boats nailed it with the new J/125 for the sailing sequence. 3 meters is roughly 3.2 yards. While it wasn't stated, only the Iranians, who were once allies, ever bought F-14's, so that's how there was an F-14 outside US service.
10:50 - Nice catch! Most people didn't catch that this was THE Penny Bengimen that Maverick made a "high speed pass" over "One Admiral's Daughter" connection! I saw this in theaters, and caught that one immediately. But you know my attention to detail, right James? 11:45 - Heh... you REALLY need to watch the movie "Down Periscope"...... no spoilers, but there's a guy on board who wants his "nickname" to be "Mike". Which is about as common as "Bob" as far as regular names go. His name in the movie is "Nitro". 12:30 - Not to mention most "public" sticks are warped.
Also, also, I don't know if I ever recommended the movie "The Final Countdown" to you, but it's well worth the watch. I re-watched it yesterday, and had forgotten how well it holds up.
Val Kilmer was excellent in the movie "Thunderheart" but you would really like "Tombstone" as well. If you want some gut-busting laughs then "Top Secret" is a great Val Kilmer movie also. Tom Cruise in "The Firm" is an excellent movie!
Like others have said, Tombstone and The Doors are must see Val Kilmer movies. The Mission:Impossible series are also must see Tom Cruise films, but someone else also mentioned Days of Thunder and I second that as well. As for Meg Ryan, as others have said she made a name for herself in romcoms, which are good movies, but my pick would the more serious Courage Under Fire with Denzel Washington. That's another very moving military themed movie that you'll really like. Great reaction.
Apparently, according to pilots, there are some people who are like Maverick. Just naturals, better than the best, at flying those planes. I was asking on a lot forums after watching this. That scene where he dominates the younger pilots; supposedly there are people who can do things like that.
Please watch Goose's wife (Meg Ryan) in Innerspace with Martin Short & Dennis Quaid, When Harry Met Sally. . . with Billy Crystal, and starring with Tom Hanks in Joe Versus the Volcano, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail!
Great reaction to a great movie. I'll mention a couple of suggestions to Ed Harris movies that I would recommend. First, he is in a movie called The Rock (the name refers to Alcatraz, not the actor Dwayne Johnson). The second one is early in his career and he is in a part of the movie, Creepshow. That may be a decent one if you do Halloween movies for October.
Maybe I'm a minority here, but I personally never had any love for the original "Top Gun", it was just way too 'rah-rah' patriotic slash commercial for the US military for my taste. "Maverick" though - damn, what a fantastic movie it is. I literally love this one more than a thousand percent more than the first one. ;) This movie also has way more heart than the first one I think, the love story between Mav and Penny is really cute, they're both adults but get to play a bit like teenagers getting found out by the daughter - comedy element there, and so on. And of course, Tom Cruise really gets to stretch his legs as a big-ticket action movie superstar here. I really love it when a silver screen hero dials up to 11 and shows off just how effin good he is. This can so easily get hella corny and just bad, but this movie does it SO well, it just gives ya goosebumps watching. Fabulous, fabulous stuff. Say what you will about Cruise and Scientology and whatnot, but he knows his stuff, and he loves the whole cinema experience and it really shows in this production. All the way through, it's a fabulous escapade and a half. 10/10!
You gotta start watching the Mission: Impossible franchise for more quintessential Tom Cruise. The only other movie I really know Val Kilmer from is "Batman Forever", in which he starred as Batman alongside Jim Carrey (the Riddler). He also starred in a movie called "The Man Who Broke 1,000 Chains" that I really liked when I was a kid.
I hope someday you watch the greatest Tom Cruise movie of all time - Legend! Okay, granted, it's the greatest because Tim Curry is in it, but I still give Tom points. 😊
5:10 James, yes we have. Albeit in the Space Shuttle. It would orbit at Mach 23 or roughly 17,500mph. It would reach Mach 25 on re-entry. It would still be only about 17,500 though as the speed of sound is different in the upper atmosphere. Mach 10 is approximately 7000 mph. No current jet has achieved hypersonic flight. The X-15, a NASA research rocket powered aircraft (not jet powered) did fly at hypersonic speeds though. Low hypersonic, at Mach 6.75 or 4520 mph.
YEAH BABY I’m definitely gonna be checking this out before the night is over. My one regret is you didn’t get to watch it in theaters. I probably watched it 50+ times in theaters I just LOVE it 10 times better than the original.
Great reaction and great inside with your copy and paste comment. The repeatead great scenes from the 1st movie. And the attack on the installation was simular to Star wars.

Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, yes yes to Tombstone! Val should have won an Oscar nomination for that movie.
Yes, more westerns.

Yep - just like the crayon map of China in the Barbie movie got it banned.
"That's not a great callsign" Actually, most call signs are derogatory. A pilot doesn't pick his own call sign, his fellow aviators pick it for him.
This movie was exactly what we needed when it came out. I saw it twice in theaters, which I've never done before.

Another reason you'll like this, James: the director, Joseph Kosinski, is an Iowa native! He was born in Marshalltown.
AWESOME!
I went to the IMAX to see this and I'm so grateful I did it was phenomenal
Val Kilmer's first (or 2nd) was a spoof movie done by the same guys as Airplane - it was called Top Secret! It was so great - and Val sang for it! It's a spoof of the old Elvis movies and WW2 type movies. Please add it to your list!
If you want to watch Tom as a villain, try watching _Collateral_ directed by Michael Mann.
No one is!
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
Agreed...Valley Girl was a tribute to the youth of the 80's. Saw it a hundred times since it came out.
Yes, that was Tom Cruise flying off that carrier (albeit in the back seat). He was the only one of the cast who got to do that particular thing.
Yeah - it'd only be pink mist that got ejected in a RUD at Mach 10.
Penny is the Admirals daughter mentioned in the first film.
Oh that's funny, did they point that out and I missed it?
@@AwesomeUSMoviesThey left it up to us to remember. As one of the best movies ever many fans have memorized every line of the movie.
In fourth grade (1987), our teacher used to let us pick a movie to watch after x amount of good behavior days. The vote was Top Gun. (Fast Forwarded through love scene, with parent permission slips). I was a valley farm boy and had never seen anything like that before!
@@AwesomeUSMovies I actually learned it from other commenters. 🤣🤣🤣
I fought seeing this film because I didn’t want to support Tom Cruise. I eventually saw it and have now watched it four times! So good!
The sad thing is, despite the scientology, Tom Cruise is probably one of the best people in Hollywood. It's gotten that bad.
Isn't it fun how into-it we can get during the dogfight scenes? This movie is great in that capacity. It's so tense and captivating. I love that. I don't remember getting dizzy or anything when seeing this on the big screen. More just fascinated and sucked in.
Agreed, it does a great job of putting us in the film and action
Penny was the daughter of the admiral in the first film
10:50 in the first one, that admiral’s daughter was named PENNY Benjamin… so we are led to believe that this is that same girl in Top Gun: Maverick.
OMG your right her name was Penny. To funny
The few sentences Iceman utters in this movie were actually done by Val Kilmer's son
There was also some AI involved as well. His son sounds close but not identical. The AI was used to get the sound of the voice as close as possible. There was also sound clips from other movies used as well. All three methods were combined to get the result used in the movie.
If you get time watch the making of this movie also. It’s amazing!!
Val kilmer has throat cancer so unfortunately he isn't in too much of the movie.
Love the channel
Not sure if you’re aware buy Val Kilmer actually has throat cancer and is almost speechless. They used his sons voice to help with the lines in here.
Tom has a lot of good movies but I love Far and Away
Jerry Maguire
Cocktail
The Firm
Meg Ryan- Goose’s wife
You’ve Got Mail(w/ Tom Hanks)
Sleepless in Seattle (w/Tom Hanks)
When a Man Loves a Woman
Val Kilmer
Tombstone
Heat
Penny, she's 'The Admiral's daughter.'
If you want to see Meg Ryan (Goose's wife) in some great movies, check out - Inner Space, When Harry Met Sally, Courage Under Fire
Michigan State and Gonzaga played a basketball game on an aircraft carrier last season. It really shows how big those carriers actually are.
Around 3 acres, iirc…
I would love to see you're reaction to Willow. It was a major factor in Val Kilmer's personal life. "The dust of broken hearts!"
I've already reacted to it. Go check it out: ruclips.net/video/aIbqlUIrW98/видео.html
French Kiss is hilarious. James would really like it, I think.
Jon Hamm became a big star from the popular tv show “Mad Men”. He played the icky guy she was sleeping with in the movie “Bridesmaids’.
P51 mustang at the end is Tom's own plane and he really was flying it there.
Tom Cruise / Pete Mitchel was 24 in 1986 Top Gun. That makes Jennifer Connelly / Penny Benjamin 16 years old at the time of Top Gun.
Oh dang...
The P51 that Tom is working on in the beginning/end is Tom Cruise's own personal plane.
Love that
Yes, the actors were actually in the planes while they were flying. Yes, Tom Cruise really did launch off of the aircraft carrier in an F-18.
In the rear seats though, they were not actually flying the jets.
Tom's movies are all top quality movies. I watched this movie 3 times in the cinema, loved it, especially after the lockdown, the experience was awesome.
If you want to see Tom as a bad guy, a villain, you must watch Collateral. Very good movie from a very good director
Added thanks
Major applause, this is practically the movie of the century. 😄 I feel like they did everything right with this one. Enjoyed this immensely, thank you for giving us these reactions!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You saw Ed Harris in Apollo 13 as Gene Krantz. Gotta see Cruise in The Last Samurai with Ken Watanabe.
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
Rooster is Miles Teller who played the drum student in Whiplash.
Haven't seen that but I'll add it to my list thanks.
@@AwesomeUSMoviesWhiplash was phenomenal. You’ll love it.
Oh Well
Oh man that would have been crazy
I do sometimes wonder how my life would have been different had I not turned down that invitation to the Naval Academy…
The first movie was great. So great.
Love those little facts thanks. Thank you for your service
Goose's wife is Meg Ryan. Her best film is When Harry met Sally with Billie Chrystal.
Another Meg Ryan movie is "Proof of Life" with Russell Crowe. It seems to be not as popular, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
I still think that Glen Powell looks more like the offspring of Meg Ryan & Anthony Edwards - he should have been cast as Rooster (no disrespect to Miles Teller because both Miles & Glen knocked their roles out of the park).
I like the editing with the cut aways to past reactions
thanks, appreciate it
All of the flying in this movie was done by the blue angels. The roof coming off the building was real and not intended to happen. Ed Harris was told to stand behind the vehicle for the flyby but he insisted to stand in the path. It's impressive it didn't knock him over considering it moved the vehicle and took the roof off.
Agreed, he stood perfectly still
I really love this movie they did a great job with everything❤
_Apollo 13_ 'not on my watch.'
I just noticed that you sound EXACTLY like: Ray Romano. That makes your reactions even better!
NASA cheated, unmanned aircraft
Such a great sequel all these years later. they did a great job with this
Shes new to me
10:50 - Nice catch!
Also, for what it's worth, James.... this sequel was WORTH waiting 30 years for. It actually DID live up to the hype around it!
Also, also, I don't know if I ever recommended the movie "The Final Countdown" to you, but it's well worth the watch. I re-watched it yesterday, and had forgotten how well it holds up.
Added thanks
'Good soundtrack, so far.' with the theme from _CSI: Miami_ also in the Bruckheimer fold.
Val Kilmer was excellent in the movie "Thunderheart" but you would really like "Tombstone" as well. If you want some gut-busting laughs then "Top Secret" is a great Val Kilmer movie also. Tom Cruise in "The Firm" is an excellent movie!
Shiver moment: first seeing the SAM's up on the ridges.
Agreed
My favorite Meg Ryan movie has to be French kiss❤
Excellent movie! My Vertigo would have been at 10G’s if I seen it on the big screen! ✌🏻☀️
I highly recommend watching the documentary, VAL, about Val Kilmer, and the short featurette, Top Gun Maverick Featurette Training.
I've added them to my list thanks
Calculated the transcontinental time, missed the 'Talk to me, Goose.'
I still heard it just could keep it in edit
Maybe I'm a minority here, but I personally never had any love for the original "Top Gun", it was just way too 'rah-rah' patriotic slash commercial for the US military for my taste. "Maverick" though - damn, what a fantastic movie it is. I literally love this one more than a thousand percent more than the first one. ;)
This movie also has way more heart than the first one I think, the love story between Mav and Penny is really cute, they're both adults but get to play a bit like teenagers getting found out by the daughter - comedy element there, and so on.
This is the best Jennifer Connelly has ever looked. She has aged very well.
I have Labyrinth on my list for James... This helps.
She's the admiral they were referring to in the first top gun.
Dang, nice
YEAH BABY I’m definitely gonna be checking this out before the night is over. My one regret is you didn’t get to watch it in theaters. I probably watched it 50+ times in theaters I just LOVE it 10 times better than the original.
I loved your excitement throughout the whole movie.
Glad you enjoyed. It's a great flick
Ironic that Lady Gaga was singing at end with LG painted on side of Tom Cruise's P51. The P51 is actually owned by Tony Cruise
Love that
Miles Teller is fantastic in Whiplash definitely a must watch
Great reaction and great inside with your copy and paste comment. The repeatead great scenes from the 1st movie. And the attack on the installation was simular to Star wars.
