wow just got mine what a bit of kit the quality shines through but you do pay for that the feel of the odd jobs tells you it is quality and it is good tool good value all woodpeckers tools are good but you get what you pay for
Only about 5 times more expensive and if you want it in metric it's another ruler that is the 16$ for the smallest. You can go have fun with yourselves with it.
I don't know how to feel about Woodpeckers and their one time tools... the tools look very good, but I feel like it's a shopping club, and you should have your wallet ready at all times, because God knows what they're going to produce next, but by golly, you better be ready to buy it cuz once it's gone, it's gone. Why limit to a one time production? You guys say it in every video, your production facility is just outside Ohio, so it's not like you have to order 10,000 units from China. You produce them in-house and piece by piece, so it's not like if I buy only one you've got 9,999 left taking up space in your warehouse and burning your balance sheet. C'mon, you guys said it in your vid, and it's on the product page on your website too; you call it the "A Must-Have Tool Like No Other". If it's a must-have, then you need to sell it. Won't you stand by your claims, Woodpeckers? And please don't tell me it couldn't be done. I ordered a large shoulder plane from Lie Nielsen, and shortly after placing the order, I received an email saying that they've run out of that size plane, but they'll get right on it. Lo and behold, 2 days later, another email told me they've shipped the plane. Did they produce one shoulder plane, or 10, or 1,000? It doesn't matter. I don't have to know, and they remain in business after years of doing this. They might take time getting some products to market, but when they do, they stand by their products. Your products are not cheap! No, I don't want cheap but poorly made tools, but don't make feel like I'm a loser for not being able to afford something there an then. Doesn't Woodpeckers also stand by your products? You already have the CAD, CNC files and G-codes, etc... Why not just keep producing them, even if only piece by piece, so that real woodworkers can save up money and buy them when we're ready, and without incurring any debt?
I used to feel that way but many of the One-Time tools come back as One-Time tools again. Some more often than others. This tool was available in 10/2018 and 9/2015. Yes, I have been waiting!
For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would want a measuring tool with a sliding steel blade against an aluminum body, unless the aluminum body had the ability to be adjusted more tightly over time as the ruler wore the body. We have trouble with old combination tools that are *cast* and not harden, they wear out and their action stinks and they lose squareness.
estas reglas y escuadras , solo están grabadas en pulgadas pulgadas o también en milímetros (sistema métrico) me gustaría saber y que se muestre. Víctor
Check your tape measure against a steel rule, inside and outside. Usually disappointing. especially if it your old favorite. I find myself using an odd job (Garrett Wade) or combination square (depth gauge) to draw pencil lines. A scribe or a marking (utility/razor blade) knife are even finer, but don't show up well on videos. You can feel for the groove when you go to use it, something you can't do with a pencil line. The scoring effect can be nice. The built in square rule is just gravy and used all the time (although speed squares are still the king for this).
(Retired OneTIME Tool) Maybe find one on Ebay. Or Historic Odd-Job, by Garrett Wade. It is less expensive and is available in October 2017. www.garrettwade.com/historic-odd-job-gp.html
+Richard Wilkinson It looks like that is only for the orders received before they 'RETIRED' the tool. You cannot order the tool at this point I believe.
To bad you guys maximize profits by making OTT . This way you can build then overcharge because of demand. I will not buy anything from you guys because of this.
Need to make another batch of these

Woodpeckers tools are like a magic show.....Now you see it....then it's gone!
Cada vez mejorando lo que ya es mejor por naturaleza propia.

Nice Tool 👍

Can I assume that the metric and imperial rulers are interchangeable with the same odd job body?

I agree, I just learned about this company and missed out on several one time tools that I would buy.

Качество и функциональность поражают.

Mark Nylund Go to www.woodpeck.com If it's not there, just wait a day or two. Sometimes the videos get posted before the website listing.
+drstampfli thanks I found it. Trying to justify the price with my wife:)

I really like the Woodprix plans.
Like a Swiss army knife - looks like it should be useful but in actuality completely fucking pointless.
