  • Like the title says, this workout is very effective for abs. In fact, I was sore for two days after doing this. It is great to do ladder workouts with a friend, but if you don't have a friend, then just time your rests to keep them under 30seconds.

    Young fortress was much stronger (and lighter). But that's okay as you are much wiser now.

    Whenever I want to do full leg lifts, I have to stay in pull-up position on my door frame to be able to have space... Ten times the fun

      Try doing them with your arms extended but starting with your legs at about a 30 degrees (so your feet are touching the floor). Then from that position raise your legs. This will force you to not use momentum. It will be harder and more effective. I just started doing those yesterday. Sore today

    Cool vid, what if you can do leg raises but only with your elbows bent? Can't seem to do tem with my arms straight like that. Is that a shoulder strength issue or flexibility issue?

    hi! Question: when i do my workout, my assist workout is often to do 100 pullups. Problem is that i can only do 5 reps a set (1min rest). Is that still a good workout. Or should i always try to make more reps and then maybe not do 100 instead?

  • @pdude1911
    @pdude1911 8 лет назад

    These are pretty brutal. Once you get good at them (8 reps or more in one set I guess), definitely also try windshield wipers: lift up legs to bar, then rotate them from left to right while keeping arms and legs as straight as possible.

  • @EdwinsFitnessTD
    @EdwinsFitnessTD 8 лет назад +1

    People that commented legs straight...not everyone can do "straight" you also need to be flexible enough if you want straight legs. Their reps are completely fine.

    @ Fortress
    How do you do that? Is there a specific body part I am supposed to move to do that or are my abs just not strong enough to do it?

  • @hebince44

    We need that little bend in our knees to really isolate the abs, like in this video. Most of us aren't flexible enough to keep our legs in a stiff line. Don't overdo the bend though.

    Won't it be a more effective ab exercise if you keep your legs at 90 degrees and then raise your hips untill your toes touch the bar

    Please, please help me!... look I love your videos but I have a great problem... I'm far not flexible enough... I mean I tell you, I cant touch my toes with my fingers not even closer. Just to give you a clue, I can't even sit on the floor with straight legs, it's like impossible for me, so this kind of exercise, I cant even dot without completely curling my knees and still I cant do it, even though my abs are fairly visible and I really want to be able to do this exercise to max my abs. Please help me! thanks

    • @ytmyeti4864
      @ytmyeti4864 8 лет назад

      +David Torrez Just bend your knees and do it, and do more reps... then progressively stretch until you can straighten them out

    • @DavidTorrez
      @DavidTorrez 8 лет назад

      Thanks... so doing this will also improve my flexibility?

    • @ytmyeti4864
      @ytmyeti4864 8 лет назад

      David Torrez I'm not 100 percent sure, it might, but you can always stretch as well, knee raises are just like this but with legs bent so work in a similar way... and i started doing these first and now I can do these toe to bar raises pretty easily, just keep practising and maybe do a few hamstring stretches as you might have tight hamstrings

    hello I suggest to do not lean your head and back when your legs come up to go back what I suggest is to maintein a straight position. I wanted to do a video on this workout but maybe next year :p you can surely have a 8 or 10 pack with this exercise but you have to have a low bodyfat
    God and His Son Jesus the Lord and Christ bless you!

    • @colin6ix731

      You need to have extreme flexible hamstrings to be able to do that. And nobody can have a 10-pack.
