i understand wanting to be remote.
As you were telling what you want, I thought of Avi Kaplan.
Avi is a classically trained bass singer from America.
He was with the group Pentatonix for 6 years and made enough to purchase his log cabin
in 1000 acres in the forests and mountains of Tennessee.
He writes his music there and comes out to head to a studio to record and every other year to tour
Europe, America and Canada and heads back to his cabin. Some of are just anti-social. We just prefer to
be alone or with a spouse and no one else.
    Nothing wrong with that.

One can tell you´ve given a life far away from society some thought. I don´t mind people. I mind the buzzing life of cities! In fact I am very social.
No nothing wrong with being anti-social!

That property is so beautiful, especially with those trees in full bloom! Also, it looks like we have a very similar list of requirements. If I'm gonna take on the tedious process of permanently relocating (Australia -> Sweden), I don't want to settle for something that doesn't feel right. Trust your gut :)
It'll probably be a few years until I'm able to buy property in Sweden, but at least I can live vicariously through others in the meantime (such as yourself!)
I look forward to following your house hunting journey :)

      @@friedi.off-grid Good question!
First of all, I acknowledge that Australia is quite a privileged country and I'm grateful to have grown up here.
With that said - Australia doesn't really feel like my home. Aside from my family being here, I don't feel an emotional connection or attachment to this country. When we also consider the high cost of living, the messed up property market and housing crisis, outdated infrastructure and technology, relatively slow political progress, disgustingly hot summers, geographical isolation, etc... I truly have no desire to remain in Australia.
I've actually considered Canada and will definitely visit someday! But I did a solo backpacking trip through Scandinavia last year and absolutely fell in love with it. I was only there for a few weeks yet when I returned to Australia, I didn't feel like I had come home - I kinda felt like I'd left home behind.
I guess it all comes down to a gut feeling. Some intuitive part of me feels so strongly about moving to Sweden that it isn't optional anymore and I'm not gonna be satisfied until I've tried it!
(I hope that gave you some insight. Sorry for the essay, haha 😅)

Although your channel popped up yeah. Love following someone who is so happy and loves nature, Exciting to find a place that you want to burn for, wow what a beautiful nature, Even have family in Sweden come from Denmark so it's not that far. I myself have considered finding a place to live in northern Sweden with my 26-year-old son. We want to get away from neighbors and noise even though we live on a peninsula with the Limfjord and the North Sea around us, but it has all been quietly destroyed by wind turbines, a gravel pit and expansion of the industrial port, Nope it's so sad because my house is down to a 10 km large bird sanctuary where the birds are decapitated by the turbines which make noise and have caused tinnitus, Ugh,, Hope you find your place where you can with all your energy and joy get the nicest place for you. Can't wait to see more wildly exciting, Good luck with everything crosses everything I have for you and send a big hug, Maria Denmark😘🦜🐸🦋🐞😊

    Hello Friedi 🙋‍♂️.
I hope you are well and you are enjoying life !!
I hope you are managing to get your
hands 🙌 dirty with all your 🪚🗜🛠🪓📝
    DIY in your project 🏠property.
    Absolutely stunning perfect location !!
The second property there, are you planning
to do something like; “Airbnb” in that ??
    Couple of questions;
If you need labour (Tradesmen) are they readily available to come to you in such
a remote location ?? I assume you have
asked this question prior to your purchase !!
The potential there with regards the three
units of property is vast - however, as you
want to live on your own - this might limit
your ambitions with regard 💵 cash flow !!
Are you not tempted with regard “selling” part of the huge garage to someone who could make a small holiday cottage from it, on the understanding that they can not live there
full time - and only use it at certain periods
of the year and, with a maximum of two adults
with no children running 🏃‍♂️ around ??
If you are going to teach English in Swedish schools, how will you manage to commute each day when the winter 🥶 sets in ??
Did you create YT Vids about your “Van-life”
travels and experiences prior to this latest YT house 🏠 one ?? Was the van - build a self - construction by you alone ??
Will be good to see your progress journey as
    it goes on !!
Ah’ one ☝️ more 🙋‍♂️ question. When living in Germany 🇩🇪 was this location in the County or town ??.
    Thanks 🙏
Take care and stay safe 🫶
    James ✌️

      Hi James,
this is the longest comment I´ve ever gotten. This was a treat to read!
1.: I am planning to do all the work myself. You will get some very spicy information about this particular property I looked at... so stay tuned! It will also answer this question :=
2.: If I buy something you sure know I am not going to sell any part of it any time soon son :) I would only rent out :D
3.: As the videos continue you will learn a lot about my ambitious but it´s awesome to see lads like you asking so many questions and listening closely to my words. I don´t want to give too much away :) Life is packed with opportunities if you are daring enough to look at the bright side of things.
4.: My van is 100% custom and self built. I appreciate the question. There is a video on youtube showing all the interiour but I might make a new one as a loot of folk seems interested in this.
5.: Idk what you mean. I am from Schleswig Holstein.
      Now my questions:
      1. What country are you from?
      2. How old are you?
      3. How did you find me :)
      Take good care mate

      @@friedi.off-grid Hello Friedi 🙋‍♂️.
Firstly - may I thank you 🙏 for your kind reply, it was very generous, and much appreciated !!
My question on your birth location (home country) was to try and understand if you had
any experience living in such remoteness
with regard your current location - or were you a “City man” !!
Also, as I touched on your van build - again,
it was to try and understand your level of commitment and to try and understand - if you understood - that staying in a camper in a beautiful environment for a few weeks is totally different from living there full time, especially, in a location that has challenging
long cold 🥶 dark 🌑🌒 winters
      ❄️🌨🧣🧦🛷
Will definitely keep looking 👀🫣 into your
channel to understand your progress and thought process with regard your building modifications.
I am also BIG on outdoor life, hiking 🥾, camping ⛺️ 🔥, walking 🚶‍♂️ in mountains 🏔 ect ect - I travel extensively (Europe) in my own camper van and fully understand the freedom it brings, especially when you want “time out”
I am in the thought 💭 process of buying remote like you - however, only as a
“get a way” to spend a few months in the summer there whilst still traveling in my camper van. 🚐 and heading back to my
home country during the winter months !!
Remember Friedi with each nail you hammer 🔨 in - sometimes in life - illusion is needed to disguise the emptiness within when at times we first see places. However, as you sit and ask yourself- is this an illusion within an illusion !!
Then you are reminded - at times, fate comes to take you on a wild ride, and - all you can do is hope - it’s to a very special place you have always dreamed about wanting to go !! Each person and place you meet and go influences your mental universe in a way that has the potential to make a substantial impact upon the causality of the intellectual development of an entire species especially your mind !!
I get the impression and feeling that you will be tying us all up here and trying to “tickle” us into a frenzy of pure indulgence !! and, without the slightest hint of emancipation or acquiescent - to engage us all with this absolute magnificent splendour of pure creative craftsmanship with regard this modification build - that was created by man for man, and laced - by an enigma that; cannot talk, hear, see, breathe and has no understanding of consciousness that we have named NATURE !!
I finally finish with; I am super chilled I live
in a world 🌎 where I can be entertained by this splendid splendour of sheer brilliance of surprise from a; Simple lad, simple thoughts, simple life ambitions - leading a simple life, with - a 🦊 cunning simplistic plan.
Looks 👀 like you have it there already !!
Take care - I wish you well !!
      Thanks 🙏
      James ✌️🫶
