- My 40W CO2 Laser (K40 Laser Engraver) has been a great addiction to my workshop. It has opened up a lot of possibilities for projects. Adding this rotary axis attachment will open up even more possibilities.

Great video! One thing that may help you is to save your machine settings and then change the y steps for the rotary table. Then save it as a new file then you can switch back and forth and not have to change your files.
Brilliant wee vid, Joe.
Thanks for the shout out too!
Thanks mate! Really appreciate your support ❤️
I was toying with the rotary attachment but opted to get a new controller first so I could use lightburn... The k40 is a great piece of kit.. Thanks to your first video on for taking me down this rabbit hole lol... And now I see another rabbit hole 😁😁
Its just another rabbit hole thats for sure haha opens up more possibilities though 😉 haha
Great new attachment for your laser, opens loads of possibilities.
Thanks Paul! It’ll open up a lot of possibilities 😊
Mine comes tomorrow , let's see how easy it is to set up 👍
Nice one! It’ll be a great addition to your laser 👌 opens up a lot of possibilities
Great Video Mate. Good job on fitting the upgrade... It works very well and will open all types of doors for you. Thank you for sharing and take care.... 😎😎😎👍👍👍 You can use Bicycle inner tubes cut into strips for the runner rollers on the classes/bottles instead of elastic bands as it might run a little smoother. use a smaller inner tube from a racer or kids bike so it will be tight and run smoother... Just a thought mate...
Thanks mate! Its definitely opened up a lot more possibilities with the laser now. Thats a great idea!!! Be far easier than fiddling with elastic bands all the time haha ❤️
Nice one Joe they look great thanks for sharing and remember#stay safe and make 🍺🍺👍👍
Thanks Brian! Just want to etch more design now haha keep well mate 💪
Do you have to cut the bottom to add the attachment in?
Just picked one up through the link in the description for 52$ shipped. I’ll let ya know how it goes.
Where can I find the rotary tool? It is not available any more on the site listed above.
Yes I would like to buy one too, can you update the link or say which rotary model it is - cheers
Hiya mate, great video. What is the inside measurement of the rotary attachment.
Anybody know where to buy the K40 Rotary Axis attachment in Australia? Great video by the way. Cheers.
Thanks mate! I'm not sure of anywhere in Australia unfortunately. I got it imported from China
i did order mine too! thank you for share
Thanks Lino! It’ll be a great addition to your laser 😊
Hi Joe,
Do you know if this rotary attachment can fit on any K40 machine?
Im wanting to order a K40 machine however every seller/manufacturer I've messaged has said the machine wont be suitable and the K40 machine wont work with a rotary attachment.
I can't seem to see much if any difference between the k40 machines and am sure it will work with minor modifications as show in your video.
Is there anything else that needs to be done to the K40? do I need to upgrade the circuit board or anything to get it to work?
or will it just work when plugged in?
Thanks in advance.
Same question
Great instructions Joe... I'm off to buy one for my k40...
How are things Joe... Hope you are well brummie brother
Cheers mate!
All good here thanks. Been busy on something I can’t talk about yet but hopefully can reveal more soon. Hope you’re keeping well
Hi Joe, a different subject. Can you get a 48 tooth or more for fine cuts on wood with the Evo 255 mitre saw. I am thinking of getting this saw but I will also want to cut wood with a fine cut. Not sure if the blade provided will give you a neat, fine finished cut. Regards John.
Hi John, there is a wood cutting blade that is 40 tooth. I havent used it personally but Ive heard it gives a clean cut. shop.evolutionpowertools.com/collections/blades-1
Average Joe's Joinery , thanks Joe, is the saw that good really, I am thinking of getting one, kind regards mate
I think its good for the price. Especially accounting for being able to cut steel too
Thanks again Joe 👍😊
Great video....are you using a stock k40....or do you have one with a upgraded controller?
Its just all stock mate. Havent changed anything
I'm getting vertical line when using rotary attachment any idea?
Only thing I could think of would be if the glass is slipping. Adding elastic bands can help to stop that
another great project ! thanks ! how do you know you're at the right focus point ? how do you set it? thanks !
I set my focus from the base of the K40. I did test engravings at multiple heights working my way up to the focus. I don’t know if this is the best way of doing it but its worked for me.
@@AverageJoesJoinery thanks !
They are a great addition to expand your creations! 👍🏾
Where do you get your honeycomb mats from, mate, if you don't mind me asking? 🤔
Thanks Bill! I got the honeycomb from here: www.easycomposites.co.uk/#!/core-materials/aluminium-honeycomb/19mm-aluminium-honeycomb.html

Awesome, that's for the info, Joe👍🏾
what program are you using...I have been using laser draw and my result are never the same ...Great video
Thanks Dave! I use photoshop and Inkskape to create my design and then I use K40 Whisperer to run the laser :)
Very cool
Thanks mate!
setting for gravage ?
Gracias compadre muy buen trabajo
great video will done
Thanks Danny! 😊
This alphabet soup that I was met with for this video makes me think maybe this is Not So Average Joe's Joinery.
Its really straightforward to do. Like anything else, break it down step by step and it becomes simple. If I can do it, anyone can 😊
Wich software is it?
I use K40 Whisperer as mentioned in the video
So - you had to raise the K40 and also cut a hole in the bottom of it, I have no means of doing that. So when I ordered my K40 I also ordered a supposed K40 rotary, and now I cannot use it.
I will have a word with the supplier, who never mentions that you need to be a sheet metal worker to use it.
Im using but not working
