I bought a ruling pen from Jacksons (I buy almost all my art material from Jacksons) for this purpose but have yet to use it. I note you have Schmincke blue masking fluid in front of you. It is very easy to see; I have had some quite a long time and it doesn't seem to have gone off. I just stuck a pin in the nozzle to stop it blocking and is easy to remove. As for brushes, I let my cheap brushes with masking fluid on them dry to a hard point and I find I can apply masking fluid with them very easily using them like a dip pen.

Hi there, thanks for your question. 'Washing up fluid' is also known as dishwashing liquid or, dishwashing soap and dish detergent, used to assist in dishwashing. We hope this helps. Thanks, the Jackson's Team
