I've been watching a lot of the anime recently, and the rice balls have appeared a few times in Master Quest, and 4Kids has been calling them "Sandwiches" instead of "Donuts". And I still haven't seen them say "Rice Ball." *Just 4Kids being 4Kids.* Update: They said Rice Balls in Episode 55. Oops.
0:35 I like how the joke is about Ash being an idiot but the photographer had to explain he was the father anyway. It's like they said "those kids are so stupid that they won't even recognize a stupid kid"
I liked the line where May asked Brock what the Move Extremespeed did in one episode, and Brock responded with something like "Extremespeed increases the pokemon's speed immensely to attack".. erm thanks Brock, font of knowledge.
Misty: Have a donut Me: I know you are trying to make it more for Canadians and Americand to understand, but I think everyone knew it is a rice ball and not a donut
wait can you pls explain the jellyfish donuts one? i think it's funny bcs it's a riceball and not a donut at all and how can a donut be filled with jelly or anything it's literally hollow from the center, is this the logic or something else
It's Brock's fault for making me think that Onigiris are actually what the donuts looked like in Japan. So for a long time in my childhood, I called Onigiris "Japan Donuts."
I mean. Brock's eyes are closed. So far all we know. He could've grabbed the riceballs instead and thought he grabbed the donuts. And not care if he got it wrong
4Kids Entertainment, the original studio that dubbed Pokemon for English audiences until TPCi (The Pokemon Company International) took over in 2006, wanted to adapt the anime for American audiences. They felt that most Americans wouldn’t know what an onigiri is, so they dubbed it to be a jelly-filled doughnut. Later on, they’d edit scenes that contain onigiri and replace the snack with something more familiar to Americans (such as a foot-long sandwich or a cracker).
Hey guys if i where used i would probably change the title of the video words like r#tarted can be really derogatory to those, so please use a different word please
In the English dub they changed “rice ball” to “donut” because they thought America children wouldn’t know what a rice ball is

The magic powder is real ash. It’s called drugs
Oh my god! Hahahahahahaha!

PJ Berri I believe they did say “rice ball” in one of the Hoenn episodes. The clip is up on RUclips.
0:40 - Funny thing is that Magic Powder is a move that exists now, Ash predicted the future or something.
Why the does Sabrina's dad look like JonTron?
ECH!
But have you ever seen Sabrina's Dad and JonTron at the same place at the same time? Just saying.
LOL ash was so stupid that the father got launched by his stupidity XD

I wonder if Sabrina knows about her father's double life as Yugi Muto's grandfather?
Also, Brocks double life as Seto Kaiba
That photograph scene brings so much nostalgia...😂❤
I think the actors are self aware at the "donut" because they don't stop to saying it.
STOP WITH THE DOUGHNUTS, THOSE WERE VERY CLEARLY RICE BALLS
**Jelly fish donut**
That’s not a donut, that’s an onigiri

Brock: thats when a pokemon's speed goes to the extreme

More like ash, the donit thing was a mistranslation
Chase Hudson it wasn’t a mistranslation, they changed it because they didn’t think Americans knew what a rice ball is,so they changed it to a donut
