- The team was heavily based on RNG and with that said you know how majority of the games went. But with that said, I did manage to get this one game, where not only it went well, but also my opponent decided to troll me until the game trolled him back. So all in all, pretty pog.
edit: the title of this video was "Pokemon Mald and Confusion Version", but as a bet with a friend I changed it to the current one. This change resulted in almost 2× the views increase. Go figure.

3:30 low kick fails vs dynamax because they are too dummy thicc. Dynamax Pokemon are immune to all weight-based attacks
D U M M Y T H I C C
Its because their weight is classified as unknown. The engine decides that doesnt work in the dmg calculation of weight based moves
smh
Yeah I was gonna comment this
Yes, the same happened to me. Apparently the damage would be so high that it would be kinda like Dynamax Cannon if not more damage

I love when someone starts bragging about how good they are and then uses a weight based move on a dynamax
@Mahati He also didn't know how Dynamax Pokemon work apparently.
@Mahati I think a weight based move shouldn't be used when your opponent has dmax available
@Mahati first: using weight based moves in a when dmax is available is like using high jump kick when your opponent has a ghost. second: in tyranitar case stone edge would be better than low kick. third: I know how predict and that's why I said the low kick was a dump play, people usually dmax early on or to try a comeback
It's quite interesting on how a lot of Random pokemon teams on showdown have weight based moves for coverage despite being apart of gen 8
Ok but why his Tyranitar has Low Kick? i thought M-Tyranitar moveset was just: DD, Stone Edge, (your choice) Punch and Crunch

Tyranitar "shook its head" because low kick is a move that does damage based on your opponents weight, and since your Pokémon dynamaxed, the weight didn't register in. You can even try it with grass knot against a dynamaxed Pokémon
Greninja Gaming same with heavy slam, heat crash etc
@@gravityperseus12 *the more you know*
Indeed. Moves like bug bite don't work either, for some reason. Too big to chew I guess (?)
@@FrnzFrdnnd Moves that rely on weight (Low Kick, Grass Knot, Heat Crash), the Ability of a Dynamaxed Pokémon (Skill Swap, Entrainment, Simple Beam, Worry Seed), their item but not yours (Knock Off, Bug Bite, Pluck, Incinerate), OHKO moves, and phasing moves (Whirlwind, Roar, Dragon Tail) will fail if used against a Dynamaxed Pokémon.
Basically the idea is that dynamax pokemon are supposed to be hard to remove from the field. So they stop moves that work against this idea from working.

Thank you for saying it for me
"Dynamax is fair and balanced" they said...
@@DarkGamer364 Tbh it's not even that bad. How many moves are affected by weight and are actually good?
@ً Well, their weight class is unknown due to the distortions in space, and that wouldn't work with the algorithm. That, and they want a reason for you to run Dynamax Cannon.
@ً But think of the shiny-locked 'mons and how the shinies solely exist to prevent filthy hackers that have no skill, and thus, no legit way to get shinies, from crashing the game. Why wouldn't that apply to Dynamax, which is never stated any weight, and Gigantamax, which never states an exact weight, just the lower limit of said weight? Eternatus also basically needs the move. Last, but not least, if you are that salty about it on a Pokémon Showdown video, then may I recommend the Hackmon metas?

Let that sink in. I think he was trolling.
I wish Gamefreak had given dynamaxed Pokemon actual weight stats that could be taken into account for weight-based moves. With how broken Dynamax is, it would have been a fun niche counter if you could just potentially one-shot them with Low Kick and Grass Knot. And since moves that take the user's weight into account (Heat Crash, Heavy Slam) are turned into Max Moves with a capped power, the weight-based moves cannot be abused by Dynamaxed Pokemon themselves.
Or just lock all damage into a higher BP of 150
Also, attacking moves shouldn’t miss Dynamax Pokémon
imagine not playing doubles
@@RagnellAvalon it's broken in doubles too
I actually looked into how moves like grass knot work when I was training my pachirisu. it actually caps at 120 power for pokemon over 440.9 pounds. 20 power for 0.1 to 21.8 pounds. 40 power for 21.9 to 54.9 pounds, 60 power for 55.1 to 110.0 pounds, 80 power for 110.2 to 220.2 pounds, and 100 power for 220.4 to 440.7 pounds
They all would be OHKOd anyway and that would be too much work for nothing

5:29 I looked it up and there are actually _three_ New Yorks in England!
The first is a small village that constitutes part of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear, North East England and was named after the American New York following the War of Independence. The second is a settlement in North Yorkshire built around a flax mill by the River Nidd, which was renamed the New York Mill in the mid-19th century. And finally, there is a hamlet in Lincolnshire (East Midlands, if you were wondering) with a population of around 150 people located near the Lincolnshire Fens, which we residents of Lincolnshire affectionately refer to as 'the middle of buttfuck nowhere'.
tl;dr New York, Lincolnshire is a real place, but it's _really_ nothing to brag about.
P.S. Further research reveals that there are _9_ different New Yorks in the world! There's the famous one, the 3 in England, and an additional 5 across America in varying states of functionality. Guess the whole 'New New York' thing from Doctor Who wasn't that far off.
Just different kind of info but: remember the dude in Pauls music video that had these lyrics "england is my city". Many started laughing at the guy about england being a country, not a city - but actually - there is at least one city called "england". "England is a city in Southwestern Lonoke County, Arkansas, United State" - wikipedia.
But actually the guy still deserves to be laughed at since the dude is not from England the city, he was born in England the country. But that is just a fun fact ^^
New New York is from Futurama, not Doctor Who, right? Unless it's post-Tennant, but that's not canon anyway
New York Village is a really nice place, was where I grew up, nice and isolated. Just a shame the only time it gets mentioned is by a knob bragging about being rich lol

When Showdown bans a mechanic so quickly none of their players knows how it works.
It's because of the Dynamax. Dynamaxed Pokémon are weightless, so that apparently random immunity was implemented to prevent the game from crashing when using a weight-based move on a Dynamaxed Pokémon.
They aren’t weightless, they are just too heavy and would be disastrous to trip over, it would be a fissure if they fell over

It's almost been a year since Sw & Sh has been out and so many people still don't know how dynamax and other new things work lol. Not blaming anyone because gen 8 is kinda trash.
If I am not mistaken, Dynamax Pokémon are like Triple the weight or even more than that of the original counterpart so weight based attacks were removed as a means of counteracting that in the games, but AG still lets you use them and this is showdowns funny version lol
"I have diplomas and money, you should lose"
said every single rich kid NPC when you beat them
Dynamax is not only immune to weigh-based attacks like Low Kick, Heavy Slam and Grass Knot but they are also immune to Encore, Destiny Bond and Roar which I think is completely bullshit lol Just discovered this by playing.
you can't use weight based moves against dynamax pokemon. if you use something like low kick or grass knot then your pokemon will "shake its head" and do nothing.
When you're the physical manifestation of land itself.
But that monkeh has _hand udders._
" _Colonel, i can't hit this Dynamax Pokemon because they're dummy thicc, what should i do?_ "
"Maybe don't use a weight-based move snake..."
So basically gamefreak wanted to make dmax op af so everytime your non dynamaxed mon uses stuff like low kick expecting big damaged something in the air says "no f you shake your -dummy thick ass- head now while you get ohko'd" and the pokemon responds with "oh ok"
