      @@bruner Do you prefer the dense liner vs the standard liner? I don't currently own any mechanical sliders and aren't sure which one to get. I am wondering if the standard liner provides a more pronounced click and haptic feedback over the dense liner.

    • @bruner
      @bruner  9 месяцев назад +2

      @tggetz6 Mine only has the "dense" liner. I didn't buy a "standard" liner, so I can't give a direct comparison. However, I have several other mechanical sliders to compare. Some have "standard-like" texture plates and some have "dense-like" plates.
      It probably won't help you much for me to tell you that I like both textures, lol.. But your assumption is very much correct 👍
      Standard style texture plates do have a more pronounced click, but fewer of them.
      Dense style plates have many more clicks, but are less pronounced because of that.
      Dense style plates kind of give a haptic feedback similar to how a a zipper feels, but if you control it, you can get individual clicks, they are just not as pronounced 👍🙂

      Hi Mr Bruner! Thanks for your great video. Most of the time I am around people, and I was wondering if this can be quieted by applying more pressure? Also, how is the sound if you just do 1 click at a time? Thanks for your help!

    • @bruner
      @bruner  8 месяцев назад

      @roberthawkins8520 With stainless steel or ceramic balls it would probably be too loud in a meeting, under the desk.
      However, if you use nylon balls, it becomes much more "office friendly". In fact this is one of my I top pieces to choose, if I am in meetings.
      Applying pressure might help to quite it a little. Keeping it "cupped" securely and firmly inside your hand also helps a good bit.
      In meetings, I tend to do a lot of single-type clicks, rather than full strokes. Sometimes I only slide it one or two clicks forward, then one or two clicks backward in a sort of rocking motion 👍🙂

    I did the exact same thing scratching the inner material with my fingernail 😂 . Wish I had found your video first! It does concern me a little how soft that is, and if it is Teflon, I don't love the idea of handling something full of PFAS chemicals.

    I just got a SS one really cheap from Ali for a BF deal. Mine is labeled 02 edc on the top & 01 edc engraved on the inside! looks exactly the same though. no brass caps though :(

    I ordered a SS and Zirc and one pack came with the hex driver and the other came with the torx driver 😅. So you have a 50/50 chance of getting the torx lol

      It may depend on who you purchase it from, I don't know for sure.

    Where is your recommendation shop to purchase replacement balls? I have the dense Feeling and I'd like to test the nylon or ceramic, or glass to experiment. thank you.

      @marshalldusty I normally don't link to or promote AliExpress stores, but this store has been fairly trustworthy lately.. You can find 3mm balls there in a few different materials. Here's a link ⤵️

      @PjTheGreat08 Hey there, just wanted to let you know that I am now seeing these available on AliExpress from the InsWork Store.
      You can find it on AliExpress by serching for "01edc feel push slider"
      It looks like they only have the "dense" texture plates, but they do have it in stainless or zirc 👍🙂
