Добавлен 5 янв 2006
Welcome! Lately, I've been starting to document and review my collection of Haptic Devices, or what most people know as fidget toys. Things like "Sliders, Clickers, Spinners" etc..
I'm a "Maker" as well, and you can find some of my designs and DIY ideas in these videos. I will always introduce my new designs both here and on my Facebook page called "DB Concepts".
I also like to work on stop-motion animations, time-lapse videos, slow-motion videos, camping videos, and maybe a bit of vlogging from time to time.
I hope to be a source of useful information about haptic designs. Thanks for stopping by.
Please like and subscribe 👍🙂

hi Dan! that nameless slider seems to be your pick and i can see why. im thinking about getting it myself because im looking for a simple, yet comfortable and satisfying, reliable mechanical fidget in my collection. this one seems to check all boxes. how's the grip and are there any hotspots (sharp edges)? since i own the 01edc slider in peek, i was wondering if a three-level mechanical would make a two-level one redundant. i also wonder what your most used / favourite fidgets are! the rabbot seems fun but more expensive...
@jkcvhaisufqw There are no hot spots or sharp edges on mine. It gas a good grip too. My top 3 are: The Zero One "3-Level Mechanical" Slider ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/GFCD8nhSkUI/видео.htmlsi= bmqdUyhC30KDIW0Z The "Lollipop" Mechanical Pivot Slider by PD EDC ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/VPYQ8S6Tb0o/видео.htmlsi= SPUsbev5u14mR3ry The ACEDC "Noiz" Mechanical Milk Cap V2 ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/2LBu9Eixfc8/видео.htmlsi= Zy6FXS4Sx8bqfh5G I like both 2-level and 3-level sliders. It's hard to say which is best, but I don't think it's redundant to buy a 2-level if you already have a 3-Level 👍🙂
Hello, I watched the video because I am interested in this product, are you satisfied with the result of using it? I wonder if it is a product you can recommend. If this product is not good, I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you have a product in a similar price range.
@건곤J Hello. Actually, I am not a seller. I am only a collector and reviewer. I really, really like this one. Yes, I can highly recommend it 👍🙂
Which one?
@adecentgamer3154 I didn't know the maker's name at the time, but this one is made by 9-Hands EDC. Here's a link to my full review ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/E-Kn3r0eN-Q/видео.htmlsi=PtR-BF--uN4fbSwR
Don't trust 01edc
@adecentgamer3154 Some people have had poor experiences with Zero One..
Nice sound🎉
You amazed me with your steady hands when working with the spring and ball bearings while you made adjustments. It took me almost 2 hours to keep my springs in place, set my ball bearings on top, and place the top without knocking everything out of balance lol You have brain surgeon hands, sir. Thank you again for another very informative and in depth video. Do you by chance have an overall favorite fidget item that you would recommend? I am extremely happy with this product, but I'm always happy to look into more products with the recommendation of someone more experienced 🙂
@BigFuzzy507 I'm sorry you had so much trouble, but thank you for the compliment, as I am a recovered alcoholic. When I was at my worst, my hands would always be shakey. I was also very anxious most of the time. It was a very rough life to be living.. Anyhow, pancreatitis forced me to quit drinking about 7 years ago. And, thank goodness it did.. My anxiety is much less these days, and my hands don't shake anymore. Life has much better. I feel lucky to have stopped 🙂 Edit: I'll add another response with links to a few of my top favorite pieces 👍

@bruner oh I certainly understand that. I have a neuropathy condition that affects my hand articulation - specifically in the fingers - due to a pretty devastating back injury about 4 years ago. Occasional full body tremors and all of that. It is improving, but still embarrassing to shake like a leaf infront of people because if they don't know me I feel like I can see them thinking something along the lines of "drug or alcohol problem". My brother had to be hospitalized due to early signs of liver failure, and I took care of him for a couple of months until he felt ready to live on his own again. Scary stuff, friend. I'm happy to report that he has gained control over that demon and is now living life to its highest quality. I'm glad that you have kicked the habit and found a happier and healthier lifestyle. I'll keep rooting for you 🙂
@BigFuzzy507 And I wish you continued improvement with your back injury. I hope your brother, as well, continues on that path of healing ❤️
@bruner I totally missed these recommendations earlier! They all seem like some good quality products. That milk cap is very interesting. I have a similar style PEI yellow fidget, but it is a pretty cheap item with no real satisfying clicks. I may look into that next 🙂 The other two that you mentioned seem great as well, but I want to live with this DJG slider a bit longer. One of the features that I appreciate is the designer allowance of incorporating a lanyard. Neuropathic talk again here, but the additional leverage offered by a lanyard goes a long way. I also received your other message, and truly appreciate your kind words and good wishes. I hope you the very best as well, and I appreciate you going out of your way to offer your advice and share your story. I will look into that milk cap 🙂 and also follow your content. I believe you have the best fidget videos and reviews. Fidgets have been helping me with my finger articulation. Lockpicking and card tricks have also been very helpful. I appreciate you, friend. Keep up the amazing work on your videos, and stay healthy. I look forward to any future content.
Put in a ESP 32 and make it a Wi-Fi button. And then it would be even sicker!
I literally came here to see how to use the ratchet. lol they got me!! Great video!

weird, mine was not serialized
@@Boy314 That's odd.. From the same store as mine?
@@bruner No, bought from meta-edc, also blasted SS though
@Boy314 I believe that sometimes, with a new product like this, the first "batch" gets numbered. Then, they do new batches (sometimes not serialized). You could reach out to Meta and ask. I've never bought from them yet..

For information, I ordered the SS version of this (otherwise excellent) slider from the Valyrian Store, and I was unpleasantly surprised to find no extra small springs, even though I have 4 large springs as spares. I was planning to put 2 small springs on the dense tracks, but that’s ruined 😕 I am currently in discussions with the seller about this, but they insist that it’s normal and that all their stock comes with the same accessory bags. They don’t believe me when I tell them that several unboxing videos from their store and photos in the product reviews on their shop page clearly show that the count is off…
@Namingway_ Yeah, unfortunately many AliExpress sellers aren't very knowledgeable about their own stock.. And some sellers simply won't be helpful at all.. But to be fair, most makers are very poor about "extra parts" in general.. It could be DJG EDC's fault.. You can buy your own balls and spings in different sizes here, for not too much money 👍 🙂 ⤵️ playforbeans.com/
@@bruner Thank you very much for the site, I've already seen it since I started researching the world of fidgets, but I hadn't seen that they had so many detached traps! Do you know what reference to buy from them to replace the small spring supplied with the DJG Drive?
@Namingway_ Darn it! I didn't actually look at his stock when I was there.. He doesn't even have the short springs.. Still, he might be a good resource.. Maybe try asking him. The size you need are: 3mm diameter x 4mm high. I just measured mine 👍
Thanks for sharing this! I'm just starting out and struggled a bit with the setup, so seeing yours is very helpful!
Have you tried to play with reverse polarity on some magnets?
Love these behind the scenes videos Dan!
A friend was asking me about my setup, so I threw this quick video together 👍🙂
Is it fun coz I’m thinking of buying it does it worth it????
@kareeemo2005 Actually, no. I really don't care for this one very much. I think it's overpriced for what it does.
@@bruner do you recommend something similar?
@kareeemo2005 I'm sorry.. I intended to reply, but I got sidetracked. I was just looking around on AliExpress and found this ⤵️ a.aliexpress.com/_mMw55xh It's a little more expensive, but I think this is more of an example of something that I would prefer. I think I saw a video of this somewhere, and it was much less noisy. It had more of a "bouncing-vibe" than "bouncing-CLACK!" lol.. I'm not really a fan of any of these new "tuning fork" sliders, though. Those make WAY too much noise for me 👍🙂 *EDIT: here's a video link for the one I was talking about ⤵️ a.aliexpress.com/_m0vLjJp

@@loganj6203 My favorites change from time to time.. My "favorite" is often my most recent piece. However, today, right now, my favorite piece of all is probably this 🙂 ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/au1Xl9VtqQM/видео.htmlsi=EgkNovVxLFUJMIoc
@bruner It's beautiful but it's too expensive, do you have another one that is cheaper?
@loganj6203 About six months ago I did a video about fidgets under $50. At that time, you asked me which one of those was my favorite, and I said #4 ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/HtVgM1TQA00/видео.htmlsi=nB2b6Ae9_331UU5r This is still my opinion.. For under $50, this one will give you the most options for your dollar. Here is a link to my full review on that one ⤵️ ruclips.net/video/sl9OsOZ4juI/видео.htmlsi=mbWj2yzRRiOcwaq2
First of all I am pretty new to the world of sliders and fidget toys and have found you're reviews to be the best. I have a small collection but looking for a ball bearing slider with this wider click option as all my others are dense pattern. I always have very dry hands so grip is sometimes difficult. Would you recommend the titanium or stainless option for better grip?
@NickHawkins Thank you. I'm not sure which would have the better grip, but I can yell you this.. The Stainless Steel version is heavier but has a nice "dense" sound. The titanium version (I don't have one) should definitely be lighter and likely a bit louder than stainless steel one. Unfortunately, I also have dry hands most of the year, and the stainless one can be a bit slippery.. It seems to have a "blasted" finish, but it's a "smooth blast".
glad I bought this way back, its gone now. but I saw it on aliexpress for $100! double what it was on etsy, damn
Someone on Facebook found his actual website. You can get one there for around $60. Good luck 👍 🙂 ⤵️ danhuoedc.com/products/titanium
so glad you have this one. I got mine and it broke apart because it wasn’t tightened or something wasn’t put together properly. Was trying to figure out how to place the washers and those other parts. Little disappointed due to the quality of construction, but I have several of the other fidgets from this maker and they’re all really good.
9 hands one of my favorite mechanical slider makers, have several of their sliders.
I had some issues with inswork. I don’t buy from them anymore. I wish someone else was selling the premium ones. I have the cheap version I really like it.
I have the pei dense version, its one of my favorite fidgets. bigwhiteedc has them in stock again, and they have individual track parts as well! both dense and paragraph
these are all great tools for eunuchs.
great job. more useless garbage to go into the landfill.
My stainless steel turned up today and yep it was glued shut. Pried it open and scraped the glue off. This mechanical is impossible to quieten down. It clacks against the plastic paragraphs and the body amplifies it even with POM balls. I’ve ended up using the skate track.
I'm sorry to hear that yours was also glued.. At least, it's a fixable problem. Do you have any alternate springs to try? Perhaps a shorter or weaker spring will quiet it down. Otherwise, I was thinking (haven't tried it yet), there is a tiny bit of space behind the "detent plate" that is currently in use.. I'm going to see if I can cut a piece of foam to fit behind it. Maybe it will absorb some noise. I will report back here, probably later today 👍🙂
Thanks for the review ! 😊I’ve got a Zirc one on the way 👍
Thank you, Dan once again.

@bruner Thank you..😊
Hi, First of all, I want to sincerely thank you for your videos, which often save me from blindly spending money in this fascinating hobby 😅. I’ve been immersed in this world for about a year now, and since discovering your channel, I haven’t missed any of your new videos. I’ve also taken the time to watch many of your older ones, as they’re so helpful. I don’t usually leave comments, but I’ve been desperately searching for something very specific for several months without success. None of the creators I follow have addressed this topic, so I’m reaching out to you directly. I’m looking for a fidget (slider or coin, magnetic or mechanical) or a tuning option that is as quiet as possible. The idea is to use it without disturbing others - something quiet enough that ambient noise like a conversation or the TV could cover its sound. But - and here’s the tricky part - I still want it to offer a satisfying haptic feedback. In your videos, you often highlight the pleasant sound these items make (and I completely agree with you!), but unfortunately, not everyone around me feels the same way. This makes it frustrating to only be able to use fidgets when I’m alone, as if it’s a guilty pleasure. I’ve tried a few completely silent fidgets, like the Ono Roller, the Slider, or the Scroller, but sadly none of them provide truly satisfying haptic feedback. I’m also aware of the INDX by FluxxDesign, but it seems to be quite similar to the Ono Slider in terms of feel. Would you happen to have any recommendations or solutions that combine discretion and tactile enjoyment? Thank you in advance for your help, and congratulations once again for everything you share with us!
@Namingway_ Thank you. I enjoy making the videos. Hmm. If you've already tried the various ONO products and the INDX, then the options are getting thin.. Those are the exact items I would have recommended to you.. At this point, I think your best bet is to experiment with mechanical sliders that use springs and balls. However, you should experiment with the ball material and the spring strength. I have successfully used balls made from "POM" (a type of plastic) to make some mechanical toys much more quiet. Sometimes, you should also try to use springs that are a bit softer.. Both of these options will make things less noisy. You can find various diameter POM balls on Amazon 👍 ⚠️ Do not buy "PP" (Polypropylene) balls.. They are also plastic, but they are much too soft.
I’m often searching for near silent fidgets for office and social settings. So far in addition to the INDX Fluxx, my silent/“quiet enough” haptics are the fidgetboy sliders MUST be iron composite plates AND taped, top c with soft springs and pom balls, and strawberry crash when I have it in a coat pocket
@@bruner Thank you so much for taking the time to reply in such detail! I'm going to try to find some POM balls, even though I couldn't find anything on Amazon in France, but I'll look elsewhere... Happy Holidays!
@@karinatsang4851 Thanks for your suggestions! Do you know if the Fluxx gives more feeling in hand (haptic feedback) than the Ono Slider?
@ yes I wouldn’t really consider any of the ono products to be haptics that provide feedback like a click or vibration
Cool
Titanium is going for $35 right now, plus I had a $4 promo code so I pulled the trigger on it. I've relied on my fidget cube ever since they rolled out from Kickstart, and it's finally really wearing out. I feel really out of my depth with fidgets now, cause last time I bought one there was basically just the cube, spinners, or stress balls lol. There are so many, nowadays. I deal with big time anxiety. The holdays are a welcome distraction, but after New Years I tend to fall quite deeply into my anxious tendencies, so a fidget certainly goes a long way. Your videos really helped me find an item that I can be confident in. I'm very excited. Thank you for the in-depth reviews!
I lost one of the little scews! 😩 Could you tell me what replacement I need to get? Thank you.
@rfm7873 Unfortunately, it would likely cost more to replace that one missing screw than it would to purchase a whole new toy. A small socket head cap screw like those (if you are lucky) can maybe be found somewhere like McMaster-Carr. However, you have to know the exact size, and they will likely force you to buy a minimum of 20 or more pieces, then add shipping costs, and it will probably cost you $20 or more..
I hope to see more scenes of camping and playing EDC at the same time. I accidentally saw it in one of your videos in the past. Thank you very much!
@橙子奇思馆 Yes. I will try to include more edc in my camping videos. I think it will be a fun idea. Thank you 👍🙂
Hey, was wondering where did you get the plastic balls from?
@@anisaghanie1410 I bought a small batch on Amazon here ⤵️ a.co/d/0X8A7KK These are 3mm POM material balls 👍🙂
@bruner thank you!
I really like this design. I wore down my metal one, and this one is pretty good. I did have to apply some threadlocker to keep the ball bearing ring in place, but after that it's great.
I usually like to hold these kinds if sliders "backwards" and push them up all the way, like the Gao Owl
have you tried the mot groove? imo a large step up from the rest (that i've tried)
@Boy314 I always felt that one was overpriced, so I never got one.
@@bruner Its expensive, but most MOT sliders have multiple tracks and come with a variety of springs and balls. You can really adjust the feedback, which is part of their price.
