Thank you for the PSA, and bringing this to everyone's attention (seriously, thank you!!!) I did the DTF sublimation hack about a year ago "one time" in my house with no ventilation or special equipment, just my sublimation printer, heat press and the DTF powder. I had serious breathing issues for three days, as well as my little dog, who was sitting on the floor near me while I was working. We both recovered, but it was scary. I threw the DTF powder away and decided it wasn't worth the risk unless I'm able to have a well-ventilated area and with PPE (and a DTF machine). At the time, I commented on a couple of YTubers pages about it, but no one seemed to have the issues I had. Some did suggest PPE and the ventilation. I'm glad people are realizing that it could be dangerous to use if they are not following the safety precautions.
Great info, wife and I wear respirators, gloves and goggles, also full length long sleeved aprons, we have duct work with inline fan from top vent of oven to outside, also keep exhaust fan right near powder area, small size shop here, we try to do a complete cleanup after each day of printing.
It isn't when heated that is what is so crazy. Brother Ernest states it is the shaking of the powder. I personally moved mine outside my house. DTF powder is not safe but hopefully with proper precautions we can all keep moving on safely. I pray this information gets out to all those doing the sublimation/dtf hacks.
Met a customer that was a DTF and silkscreen producer and he started to have neurological problems and missing time. He doesn't even remember selling some of his equipment. He was blaming the fumes of inks, powders, etc. It kinda scared me a bit.
The powder is the reason I never purchased a DTF printer. I have a cousin who's husband worked in a printing place for years and the powdered solution colors they used affected him internally. Anything power leaves a residue. These things are air-born.
Thank you for sharing this video. So what about if your ordering dtf transfers from a company but you press the design onto the shirts at home do I still need to wear a mask and gloves?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks for this video. This is something I kept saying that no one is wearing a respirator mask or gloves to protect themselves from the chemicals and fumes.. Its a deadly killer.. This also Goes for epoxy anyone who is customizing Cups, Tumbler the fumes attacks your lungs even in a ventilating area you still need to protect yourself please please everyone use a respirator mask buy extra filters Stay safe God Bless Thank you Gray again spreading this awareness
Got a question for yall. I understand printing is a dangerous game, but if I’m purchasing gang sheets would this be safer? Or, is the heat press the problem?
HI! DTF is only an issue if you printing at home and using powers. If you purchase gang sheets you're not exposed to the powder..It's the powder that has a safety concern. And the heat press has both to do with this issue. Hope this helps. (((THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE))
If I am making designs in my home using printer and I have kids around is it safe to still use the dtf supplies such as powder or how can I protect my children from inhaling it

Very good question
Same question i want to ask
My opinion is powder is cured to transfer therefore not releasing same particles...i would say adequate ventilation but much safer
Thx! For the free game! Cause it’s people out here just trying to scare people
