Very similar to our Gummy or school shark here in Aus ,great eating no bones ,known as flake in the fish shop , very popular catch in southern Australia,I’ve caught one before that was full of baby’s as well they all went over the side alive Enjoyed your video mate Cheers from Aus
Thank-you. In England they sell the dogfish sharks as Huss in the fish and chips shops. These sharks are found around the world but don't seem to make it south of the equator. The school shark is found all over and what I was going for in this video. It has many names but we call them soupfins up here.
@@PeelingLine If you ever wanna run out together hmu, I've got a 25' Defiance Admiral but I wanna take it easy my first time in big water. Would be nice to run with another boat in case shit goes sideways
We took our stabi out last weekend and the wind was kicking up some mean chop. We weren't going 35 through it though- kids don't like being tossed around so more pushing water than planing. Still stays nice amd dry
If the waves are 2 foot and less if you floor it you skim over the tops of the waves. It is much better than going slow. More than that and you can time them so you just hit the tops. This bay is tough because it isn't all in one direction. But kids usually like craziness at least the crazy ones in my family 😂
@@juans3728 I'm not sure. Maybe they use different stuff for shallow water. This was only 30'. Definitely commercial guys though. They sit there all day and pull up the pots every once in a while.
Those seagulls were crazy that crabbing was crazy too unbelievable the crabs you were getting. I know all about the seagulls sometimes they're like that here. Looks like the boat did good in the rough water. I just got in a few hours ago from lingcod fishing it was nasty but we still got two nice lingcods. tomorrow is supposed to be even worse the last day of lingcod. What were you using the shark oil for?🎣
@@PeelingLine I have the 95sv the Australian version, I’m having the Garmin 24XD external antenna fitted today. I’ve found the gps in the unit to perform poorly. At low speed coming up on a mark the map spins or doesn’t indicate the correct north orientation. I’ve asked for it to be install on the rocket launcher away from any electrical interference .

That is my dream boat! Hope to be there one day. Good crabbing man, I enjoy your videos
Thank-you. I highly recommend these boats.
Awesome, you're a crabber now! Couple nice dog fish out there. Tight lines!
I wouldn't go that far. 😂 They are plentiful here and my neighbors really like them so I'll keep dropping the pots.
These Stabis are basically a fishermans jet ski 🤣Pretty cool
💯 I actually considered the fishing jetskis but this is so much better. More space to put stuff and coolers.

@@PeelingLine I think they were in the 2-5 range off Posession
What was that Orange object passing rapidly by the boat at the at the 1:44 mark of the video?
A commercial crab pot. I left that in to show how quick the current was moving.
@@PeelingLine I thought commercial crab pot sink and remain in that spot i've been in swells and wind and the commercial pots remain in the same spot

Sharks and crabs.
? How far off shore are you? Are you still using your trolling motor? Thanks great stuff.
This was inshore. Yes the trolling motor was going the whole time.
That’s about as fast as I can get out of mine a calm day. I got 60hp mercury 😊
Mines a 75 hp Honda.
@@PeelingLine its great to see you fishing in ocean with your 1550 fisher most on utube are in lakes. What model of sounder do you have
@@timc4690 93sv unfortunately. I got that for ice fishing with the livescope. I use a helix 7 for ocean maps and marking spots.

@@timc4690 Might be your unit. I haven't had problems with mine. But I don't navigate to points on there. I just do it manually.
Should have done a shark egg catch and cook, lol… I’m only half joking, I’d actually be curious.
Eggs are one thing that sketch me out about fish. A bunch of them have poisonous eggs.
@@PeelingLine Oh I didn’t know that!… Guess I’d have to do some research on it if I ever thought of trying it some day.
Definitely. Cabezon and Tench are two Washington species I know you can't eat their eggs. Aligator gar is another.
Look into a mustang pdf tuff little boat enjoy
They make good stuff. My friend has a suit that is pretty nice. But all their stuff is pricey. Worth it if it saves your life I guess.

Good size crabs. Those birds haha. So annoying. Too bad you lost that big one. Next time
Tell me about it. I'll be back for a soupfin.
Great video ❤
Thank you!!
The viking beard has given you incredible crabbing luck and awesome sea legs. Looks a blast! Dogfish on the line, whales off the gunnel. What a trip.
😂 It was. I wish I had landed one of the big sharks though and it would have been even better.
Great video bruv love the camera angle from behind does it justice 👍🏻 how fast are traveling towards end of the video
Thank-you. I got up to 32 mph.
Not easy waters to fish out there! That bar can get crazy. Nice boat too!
Thank-you. It sure can.
Nice. What you do with the dogfish?
Make shark liver oil with the livers. Bait or eat.
Nice mixed bag day and your boat handled great in those choppy conditions! Tight lines! Captain Zac
Thanks. It sure does.
