Thank you for asking. When the thread on the needle runs out, make a tight knot, cut both ends 2 inches or more, bury the threads by threading the ends back through. This ends the tatting, it won't unravel. To continue thread the needle through the last loop where you have tied off. Pull out a yard or so of core thread and continue tatting. I will make a short video showing this. Happy tatting!
Thanks for asking. I usually use beads that will fit over the needle and thread. So the size of the hole doesn't always correspond to the bead size. Anyway these are 4mm beads. I hope that helps!
