  • Spine surgery is confusing for patients! In this video I will detail a few spinal implants that are commonly used! I'll talk about disc replacements and fusions both in the neck and in the lumbar spine!

Wow! I've been looking for a doctor that seems to understand the different types of Back or Spine issues.
My back issues started back in 2018 when I was no longer able to walk my dog.
This was after an accident where I broke both knee caps.
I work working in my apartment and trip over two electrical extension cords.
My knees landed hard on my cement floor.
One knee needed a plate and the other was allowed to heal on its own. At first I could not even stand up. I was put in rehab for a little over a month. I came home with braces for 3 additional months.
But nobody ever checked my back.
I believe that force of hitting the floor was what caused some damage.
When I have an MRI done on my spine it shows as being how's the arthritic and a bulging disc in the L5 - L4 area.
Back issues run in the family.
I am not allowed to get any kind of epidural due to my being diabetic.
    Physical Therapy makes things worse.
I can stand and walk about a minute or two. But anything longer than that and lower back and butt muscles freeze up on me preventing me from even taking a step forward.
I have seen about 4 doctors. Back and Spine.
I am usually walked out in 30 seconds.
All the doctors say until the MRI shows the disk hitting the spine there is nothing they can do. Is that a Medicare Insurance answer?
I believe that when I do try to walk my disks are moving horizontally and then hit the spine.
It feels like the top half of my body is not connected to the bottom half.
I watched several of your videos and have known about some of the devices you have shown.
I would come to see you to be evaluated but you're in Texas and I am in NYC.
BTW: I lived in Houston Texas many years ago.
Do you do virtual consultations or can you recommend someone in the NYC area.
I should point out that I get around on a 3 wheel electric scooter.
I am 69 so I know as I get older my chances of having anyone address this is getting slim.
    I also am on dialysis.
NYU turned me down for a transplant saying my back needed to be fixed before they would consider a transplant. (Seems has to do with anti-rejection drugs).
Again is there a way to have a consultation with you?
    Thank you!
    Rob

Can you please do videos of some actual procedures, like the ones shown by Dr Antonio Webb. Also would love to hear your take on the human spine and spine surgery as it relates to structural engineering( meaning the aspects of the human spine that supports our body and how surgery improves affected/injured spines for better stability etc)

Just watch his then- I make my own, and these take time to edit on my cell, he has a team. I also have a side job as a spine surgeon that limits my time

@@DonnallySpineConsult The above comment is actually very good. Too bad you are too busy. Nevertheless, I like your video which covers a few devices in one shot with actual patient's imaging.

53 yr. old golfer w/ L5-S1- dessicated, medium height loss w/ Annular tear. sitting, bending forward and golf swing are real pain generators....Is ADR overkill for this or should I seek pain management +discography to be sure? I'm in Dallas btw. thank you

Was only trying to get information about the “plates” vs cage. You being in the field, I would assume you’d easily correct me and give context.
But hey thanks for responding anyways
