  • The CORETM SPINAL SYSTEM features - a reverse-angle set screw designed to thread easier, hold stronger, and reduce the implant profile even further.
    Additional clinical improvements include:
    • Poly Axial Spondylolisthesis Reduction Screw System provide immobilization and stabilization of Spinal Segment as an adjunct to fusion of the thoracic Lumber or Sacral spine.
    • In both simple and complex spinal deformity reconstructions, Poly Axial Spondylolisthesis Reduction screw can be helpful anytime there is a vertical height malaignment from one screw head to the next

    Wow! that looks so rigid on the spine. I would hate to be the vertebrae below or above that contraption.

    I had an ACDF and I'm never letting anyone touch my spine ever since. Surgery went perfect... Except it didn't. Look up Failed Back Surgery Syndrome. It's 1/4 to 1/2 of patients and now the pain is much more persistent and doesn't respond to NSAIDs.

      No way I’d allow any doctor to put hardware into my spine. I’ve seen so many spinal surgery failures among friends and coworkers( I was a firefighter/medic for 48 years). Lots of folks got hurt and talked into spinal surgery and none of them had a good outcome. Many left on medical retirement because they couldn’t function

      Of course, the vertebra must be repositioned. Partly so that the nerves will be free, but also so that the balance point will be correct and with that the vectors will be optimized (even more factors are affected)
      That is, the way the body would actually have been. .

    Please really do your research before electing for back surgery. My father-in-law was basically talked into getting back surgery by a surgeon and his life has totally deteriorated. One surgery turned into five. He says he is in 100x more pain now after the surgeries. I get that there are obvious situations where back surgery is necessary and can help, but just please do your research. It's not something to just jump into right away.

      Yeah I fell on my back at work. Got screwed over by workers comp, doctors, and company. I have had SLAP TEAR II surgery on one shoulder, need the other, cervical spine, Lumbar, and T are ruined. I just got updated MRI's and doctors say surgery or nerve ablation... My problems are way past nerve ablation. I don't known what to do. I need surgery but seems so negative. 😕 My spirit is broken and so is my body. Anyone know some procedures that are successful?

      Fusions can be a nightmare for the vertebra below and above the fusion. People can get a thing called Segment Adjustment Syndrome.

    WFT is the spinal canal properly decompressed and aligned? The L4 vertebral body looks way out of line at the end of the procedure and the spine has no lordodic curve. Perfect waste of a 3d printed model. It should have spacers for the disks. The model should have been adequately shaped and supported and the rods properly bent to show that you can get good alignment to correct the listhesis.

      I’m not a surgeon but if this was a real operation the patient would be in more pain & wouldn’t be able to bend their back around the lumbar position!

    • @zedgarden
      @zedgarden 2 года назад

      @@gscranage4594 i am not a spine surgeon either but that is the whole point of a multi level spinal fusion, rods are put in place to keep vertebral bodies immobile while the bones fuse together. Sometimes rods are subsequently removed, sometimes they stay. It depends on the circumstances. Loss of lumber spine mobility is unfortunately one of the drawbacks of these types of surgeries.
