On a side note, Has anyone noticed how MP and the girl Nancy from love is blind S3, how much they sound and look alike and especially her laughter....awesome
who is going to step up if Nezo is not there? he is the brains behind the entire operation. His ability to grasp an idea and make it happen is amazing.
Love watching that old shipwright. He not only sees what the part looks like, he also sees how it should look with all the other parts together. Old skills that can only be passed down by hands on.
I would like to suggest notching the lower window trim near the corners to allow water to run out. Holes will plug with debris and notches will be easier to maintain(no place for worms to hide!😅)
@ 1:55 That man hammers like lightning: he seldom strikes twice in the same place. Been there, done that. Edit: I don't know who selects your music but it's invariably spot on. Kudos!
Nezo is so dang clever man can see all the years of hard work and experience written all over him. Not many like him left that's for sure. Great job guys.
I have been watching your progress for a while. The close joinery throughout YABA Will contribute substantially to the overall strength of the vessel, as well as adding to her aesthetic appeal.
Hello I love your Journey of rebuilding the Yaba I have followed you since start but I must say you have a extremely good carpenter in Nezo he is an artist and what he do with a chisel hammer and a grinder is art I have never seen a more skilful person he is a Davincie rebuilding yaba the monalisa of course the rest of the men that working on yaba is skilful and I love all the work I am not a patron but still I follow and enjoy every episode you do every week it’s my Sunday highlights
Love to see craftsmen working their skills! Everything a craftsman does is a portrait of the person they truly are. It is a matter of pride a craftsman autographs their efforts with excellence. Enjoy the journey!
Looking good.. you will be a full-time varnish guy once you set sail!!! Just keep up with it.. set up a maintenance schedule where you're sort of doing a section each year... ongoing.
Seeing Nezo working on Yabá looks more like a love affair for him than any thing else, he has so much patience and fantastic skills using unconventional articles as tools, I notice MP missing this time despite tailoring this episode to perfection, all the sound effects and choice of music 🎶 sit in like a peice of art, Ben's telling of the events under way is as educational as a maths teacher telling what are digits and how they work together. You are so lucky to find Nezo and team to bring Yabá back to life for you. Waiting impatiently to see more of Yabá coming to life next Monday morning at my place.
Been happily watching all of this and subscribed for a good while, now, and have always felt compelled to comment on the old guy who almost always has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Anyone unclear about who I'm referring to? Get therapy. Anyway, he's always the guy in charge of the most complex parts-- and always the one performing most of the work. I feel he's a legend in the boatyard, hence why he's called to other projects away from Yaba. I also feel he deserves special recognition from Yaba's owners, at some point. To be sure: I don't by any means ignore the talents of the other shipwrights in the yard-- they're all very talented! I think this boatyard in Brazil was the best spot for Yaba"s owners to land for refurbishment-- both talent-wise, and cost-wise.I think when the old guy kicks the bucket one day, the funeral will be huge with his coworkers, etc. He's a machine! I only hope he has been passing on his knowledge to the younger set. Mostly: he's a LEGEND!
These guys are so much more than carpenters. They are problem solvers, designers, builders, carpenters, craftsmen, and keepers of their trade. They’ve got more woodworking skill in their little finger than I’ve got in my whole body.
Looks like someone has a blue nail from being mashed moving the round table! I like watching the details and features come together. The skill that has been applied is awesome. Your redesign of interior has made a huge difference for full time living. Hopefully you'll have fair winds and following seas in your future! North Carolina, USA
Can never get enough of watching these shipwrights with their ingenuity and methods. They should start their own TuoTube channels and film all their projects. I,m sure they would make enough money to pay a full time camera operator.
Notice how at the end of every power tool cut, Nezo has his fingers curled under... instead of outstretched. Successful strategy for keeping those valuable and gifted fingers.
I'm in awe of the way that the team is doing and the quality of the workmanship that is on display. I have a feeling that this shipyard is going to be in demand for the future.
Major progress!! I'm very happy to see Nico back in the spotlight, he is such a great carpenter. As always, thanks for taking us along on your journey!!
Best épisode for several months ! So zen, chillout, cool... : There is no problem, only solutions. Caillou making Friends, Ben improving in the shipyard, MP sounding almost ASMR. That boat is growing inspiring and good vibes strength and welcomeness, like... Great sound too. I'll watch it again. Thanks for sharing. So many many milestones this must be the Horn !!
Nezo reminds me of my woodwork days when i was in high school when i was 14 years old. Also had a wonderful metal work teacher whose skill's he taught us i still use today and i am 63 years old.He is a true craftsman who has honed his skill's through experience as an apprentice just like i was.
Nezo is the epitome of efficient movement, no energy is wasted in a task being done. Personally, I'd just fill in those 'exit' holes, they are just going to hold water. Stay tuned folks for Ben's next injury...
Bom dia Casal sempre muito gostoso ver o trabalho executado pelos artistas da madeira o Yabá cada vez mais lindo Parabéns a todos envolvidos sucesso sempre
As usual, I’m just mesmerized with all the details. I truly love this boat. It’s a beauty to behold. Is there anything in the middle of the table base? I’ve a neat idea of making it a drinks cooler.
Great Ep guys, added music therefore interest. Quicker cuts = stimulating vision. It is more work, post production for you with editing, however expect a bigger positive result
Awesome progress! Never ceases to amaze me the skill of the boatyard team!😊 Nice moustache lol, now you’ll be able to buy the crew beer without being asked for your ID 😉😄
Nezo is so skilled! He is a Superior Craftman. All the crew have amazing talent! Love the new varnish. Looks super impressive. So much happening in this.episode guys!!! See you next Sunday.
I watch two channels on boat building. One is dedicated to perfection and one is a commercial boat yard dedicated to getting the work done. Both very different but equally interesting.
I loved this episode! I think that images in "close up" shows exactly what´s all about it; SKILL & LOVE ! Nezo has a fantastic skill with every tool; the chisel, band saw, router and iI think hes is the father of the sander! The sound track was very a very happy conjunction! I think also that you must have more images in "close up" just sayng again! haha
I would ditch the table, it takes up too much space. Great job so far. Initially, I thought you were both nuts to take the restoration on. Congratulations.
Love what you have done and how far you have come in rebuilding the ship. But the question is now if it's an old boat with new parts or if it's a new boat with old parts 😄
Safety glass is a wonderful thing. You can hit it from almost every direction on the face of the glass. The exception is its edges. It is very vulnerable on its edges. Doesn't take much of a bump from something hard to shatter it. The boat is looking good.
Honestly, I was shocked they went with glass at all. When he said it broke, my first thought was, "they're using real glass?" It would seem plexi-glass would have been the way to go here. I understand that gets roached in the sun over time, but blue water boats use it all the time. i can also speak from experience that that glass will break. Something will get dropped on it, or as the boat flexes it will eventually create a stress point somewhere that cracks a window of three. I would have done plexi, had a few extra's molded, and stored them away deep somewhere for a rainy day..
I'm sure the guys appreciate it when you turn up with fresh new tools. That chop saw is gonna be a game changer when you guys go hard on the inside. Fantastic job, and thanks for the amazing video. Highlight of my Sunday morning.🍻🫂
😊I completely agree with Claude Hopper (nice one Claude). I am amazed at the craftmanship, and how those workers seem to know what the other is needing next. Ans the music between 25:17 and 27:58 is beautiful.. Would you share the artist(s) please. Reminds me of Chris Thile.
Nice work its looking really good i love seeing wood on a wooden boat That round table can you not put a curved door to use that inner waisted usable space, or cut the inner circle lid in two halves with four nice brass hinges and two pull rings
How Nezo still has all his fingers is one of life’s great mysteries😳
Amazing nezo... The man with golden hand
Nezo is worth his weight in gold!
Skilled, experienced and careful. I have all mine too 🤞.
Nezo is special. they grow back out. 😂😂✌✌
Ten of the last things that don't come with warning labels. Except the Ten Commandments.
nezo needs his own channel,he is amazing
On a side note, Has anyone noticed how MP and the girl Nancy from love is blind S3, how much they sound and look alike and especially her laughter....awesome
I am sure almost every single piece of this boat is forevermore etched upon your mind.
who is going to step up if Nezo is not there? he is the brains behind the entire operation. His ability to grasp an idea and make it happen is amazing.
The Legend Nezo showing us all how its done!!!!
Love watching that old shipwright. He not only sees what the part looks like, he also sees how it should look with all the other parts together. Old skills that can only be passed down by hands on.
And amazing how these hands-on-hands are also all-fingers-on-hands...
@@TheDigger76 More by luck than judgement - for SURE!

Nezo is the best CAD Konstruktionprogramm ever been written

Please tell Nezo that he has a lot of fans in the United States. His seemingly casual skills are incredible.
Nezo and his amazing fingers...my question IS how old are his fingers? I am amazed how he keeps up with the young bucks. He's a freakin' unicorn!!!
Nezo is the real craftsman.
I can see the gang doing the work without power tools like back in the day 👍👍🙂
So much going on. It's grand that you found these skilled men. Seems there isn't anything they cannot do. See you next week. Cheers.
Thank you so much Mike!! We feel really lucky for having found them indeed!!
Hi! Just curious, how old is grandpa? It's amazing how skilled he is and the energy he has to build a boat ❤
@@dkelly8971 i would guess he is 70.

Every time I see Nezo sanding I hold my breath from the dust clouds surrounding him.
Yaba is looking great with it new colours and fixture
I love watching your videos, it’s about the only videos I watch all the way through and I hardly never watch anything all the way through.
Here for Nezo 😂 and the pup of course!
Great to see some screws being used at last - not a big fan of all those nails being clumped in. Great job team!
highlight of my sunday evenings
Riva Varnish should be applied with a Badger Hair Brush, the application is everything!

MP …. You truly are a beautiful tuning fork!🤗
Yeah, I watch, but I pay attention when Nezo is working. You guys should just follow him all day no matter what boat he is on. Mil viewers in no time!
Besides the fingers, NEZO puffs a cigarette whilst sanding without a mask or eye protection-he has amazing skills.
Particularly liked the music this week. Lovely.
Looking Good . Allan

I really liked the music in this episode!
I do really enjoy your videos, one step closer to splash down. It's looking 👍😎
That is a shame about the glass but everything else is going well. You have a brilliant crew working to make her live again .
I love the skills of your friends so good to watch them go through their paces and see the experience come through

The drain holes on the windows are called weep poles
The shipwrights have done a beautiful job on the glass installation 👍also on the hole build, cheers from California
You could cut a door in the base of that aft table and make a nice storage area for dining supplies or whatever you like.
