This is exactly what I don’t understand about playing poker on a mathematical scale, I have been trying to understand ranges for months and you just made it click in about 5 minutes. Thank You!
I like how you explained equity. Then related that to imprtance of postion. Also the way you explained ranges..and how certain actions exclude possibilities thus narrowing the range.. You did well overall. Great job. I have very limited experience in live poker ..that said from that limited experience. You dont have much time to think..at lower stakes get hurried up pretty quickly. Other than hrs spent practising applying these thought processes .in live games, are there Any other tips ? To help in doing this quickly enough? Ps With your pot odds explanation. The 2nd way ..i think you made an error there..its not pot divided by bet size but other way around . In your eg 200/50 = 4. 50/200 = .25 Re pot sized raise calculation. I dont understand why making it 2:1 for opponent makes ir a pot size bet. Just seems like the wrong term. But i could be missing something . Will check out some of those vids you mentioned at the end.
