  • In this video we take a day out of our 5 day camping trip show how a ordinary family can summit the highest mountain in the UK ( Ben Nevis). It took us roughly 8 hours to go up and down and it was a clear day with great views.

You were lucky with the weather. Couldn't see a bloody thjng when I was up there haha freezing, gales and rain on the summit.

Yeh we were lucky, it was cloudy on the way up but by the time we got most of the way up it had cleared. Thanks for watching.

@@itsthenortherners very lucky indeed. Good content though and well done on the hike. Not an easy walk that, especially with the mileage involved.

I couldn’t of climbed that. I only got half way up my local one at Scafell Pike before I had to turn around 😂

Yeh it was definitely tough going up there, we did Scafell a couple of month ago but didn't manage to film it as it was so busy.

Thank you very much, it was a lot harder than we first imagined but it was actually coming down that was the most exhausting.

Yeh it definitely was amazing, my son is 10 and he managed, he did have a few moans but to be fair all our legs were really aching, especially on the way down but it was definitely worth it.

Hi Mate, good videos, just got into the camping game mi Sen with the fam and just got back from a weekender naw and the tent is drenched from the rain. Any tips on how to dry it out in wet and damp conditions? Any advice would be welcome cheers pal

Hi Craig, their is no real easy solution.
      A. Set the tent up on a dry day at local park or your garden and wait for it to dry.
      B. Open the tent out in the house as best you can, dry what you can with towels and leave it opened out until its dry enough to put away.
      C. If you know somewhere indoors you could set the tent up or hang it up until dry.
Like i said their is no easy solution for this problem.
      Good luck.

Cheers mate for the quick reply much appreciated,
The weather over here in the land of the greats (Yorkshire) is almost as bad as it is over your end of the woods lol so waiting for a none rainy day could be a while, but I’ll sort it out.
Cheers again for the reply keep it up with the videos, like I’ve said I’m new to the camping game and watching all your vids has helped a lot
Maybe you could do a video on all the camping equipment you take as we are just starting to build ares up and it would be nice to see what you have got.

@@craigaitcheson7053 Yes mate, once you come down the other side of the M62 hill the water just falls from the sky for fun 😀. I will definitely look to do a video like that if it helps give people a idea of what they might need but i would probably do it next time we are all set up so it easier to demonstrate.
Cheers for watching the vids 👍
