As someone who is currently also playing Knights of Caledor, I can indeed confirm that elves' fatal weakness is getting into contact with any pathogens whatsoever.
One small tip for new players. At the end half of the battle. You can press space bar to see each units fatigue. Fatigue affects units' performance like the change to hit and dodge. Try to charge in with fresh unit to engage the remaining enemies, and pull out those exhausted units, including hero, for them to rest and recover fatigue. I would say fatigue doesn't matter that much for 90% of the battles. Because most of the time using exhausted units to surround the enemy to make them lose morale and flee is much better than standing still to recover fatigue. That is, most of the battles you usually aim to destroy enemy's morale for "Army Loss". But for a grinding battle like this, where the remaining enemies are high armor high health Single Entity, or unbreakable units. Recover Fatigue matters A LOT because better fatigue means better chance to actually hit the enemy and decrease its life pool. Recover Fatigue is especially important for high attack/defense/damage Load/Hero/SEM like the High Elf Nobel here because its fatigue penalty is calculated in percentage. Sorry for pool English.

I ended up created a tamrakan hunting force using Thorgrim the legendary slayer hero 8 giant slayers 5 doomseekers which were already pre recruited and 5 gyro bombers to clear out most of the infantry.

My first Campaign after ToD ( obviously with Franz XD) Tamurkhan took over everything from Cathay to Kislev. He attacked me with 5 armys and i was able to defeat all of tgem with just Franz army with a bit of luck and god campaign positioning. But Tamurkhan himself.....bruh i got crushed by his main army vs mine. I tried to get him killed atleast and some of his heroes ( all level 35+) but only managed to get him just to be surprised him returning next round.... It costs me 5 armys ( all mixed crap to late game) to finalöy stop him. What a campaign 😂
I just tried a battle against Tamurkhan as Archaon in a coop campaign with some friends last night and we almost won but the heroes just proved too much to get rid of. Im still pretty new to the game so I probably have nothing close to a good setup. Autoresolve said a Pyrrhic victory where I lose pretty much all my high tier stuff but win. Its a lightly modded campaign (warband ultimate and 2 skills per lvl) so I figure you dont want to bother with that but is it worth just taking the autoresolve there? He’s down to only a couple settlements that he just took so I figure it would take awhile for him to build up again.
I am just some rando, but here's advice: if he's not an urgent threat and you can avoid the battle at first, find a way to make better odds. A smaller army for reinforcements, an Ambush, whatever. Otherwise, try the battle with some new tactics. Identify the parts that are a problem and find a way to either circumvent or ignore them.
As warriors of Chaos you have some of the most Op heroes yourself in the game too. Since you only have Meele except in rare circumstances, Archaon, the Aspiring Champions he boosts and the other heroes you have will be enough to beat his heroes. Equip tormentor swords and helms of discord too. Try also getting those ROR Tzeench Halberd Aspiring Champions. Also you can dedicate a champion to nurgle and he will have 3 Group heals, locusts of fecundity that you can use to heal everyone around them.
I feel like the thamurkhan bot is kinda overpowered. Playing a Grimgork campaign and in turn 25 Thamurkhan declared war on me. He had 4 of his champions, thamurkhan lvl 23 with 14000 health and just defeated his early game enemy. Other factions that had more settlements had 10 lvls less on their legendary lord. Managed to autoresolve with 2 fullstacks+34 wharg units.
In my game bot thamurkhan did nothing, just sat in the north because he simply became buddies with everyone around him because they all disliked the good factions. IDK why but that always happens in the north for me, only thing that changes is Sigvald invading Alith Anar and Valkia invading Naggarond everytime. But Epidemius, The Prince, Archaon, and Tamurkhan are super passive. They also have a friendly Chaos Dwarf faction on their east border.
@@Klongu_Da_Bongu he was actually passive he killed the undevided faction there and then he sat there but somehow was lvl 23 with four of his heros and that combined was actually kinda nasty killing a 14k legendary lord with earlygame trash stacks.

I don't want to get critisized bad from my favorite youtube total war content creator!
27:05 AYO?!
beat my meat to i... I mean beat me to it
In my Imrik game it was thankfully my LL Imrik facing Tammy. I had him solo the army and was doing great until a random routing rot knight found my archers hiding in the forest and he dropped his stupid aoe nuke on all of my infantry. Was so annoyed lol
Hey Legend, would be cool if you showed us your new PC, ;)
Tariff is 300 subscribers away from 100k show him some love to guys let's get him that plaque!
That was the cheeziest closest battle I think I've seen.
In Shugun 2 Total War Legend had a battle and He won with one or two guys who left on the battlefield.... many years ago
@@Klongu_Da_Bongu he was actually passive he killed the undevided faction there and then he sat there but somehow was lvl 23 with four of his heros and that combined was actually kinda nasty killing a 14k legendary lord with earlygame trash stacks.
in my two campaigns first round zlatan killed him early on, second chad boris killed both him and archaon so I never had to fight him
CA's real new strategy:
1. Pick 3 random factions
2. Make them OP AF
3. Profit
Tamurkhan just rolled up with three terrifying stacks and ruined my Gelt campaign right after I beat grimgor, nearly 100 turns burned down after he decided he didn't like that I took out Kugath.
Nah dawg if I ever submitted a disaster battle or save I just know I’d get roasted for all the decisions I made in the campaign (talking about you Bittersteel)
I wonder if CA ever fixes the black arks problem.
I gave up my helves campaign because of this guy, just couldn't beat him. Swear to god the bombs I faced were 3x the size
Keepers of the flame are absolute beasts
Despite being on a mount, Kayzk can just be launched into groups and he'll live. I couldn't get him to die even if I tried. He'll tie up and kick the shit out of cavalry.
Plz legend 1440p and 4k videos now plz
Damn, this is why Legend is the best player
Caseoh regenerating, unbreakable and hard to kill? Sounds about right
It’s simple. Thunderbarges hard counter them in my dwarf campaign.
i watched your Melekith one man doomstack and heard you talk about how the Warhammer 2 AI was better, did your opinion change?
Hmm, on turn 40+ go against Tamurkhan with basic archers? Ambitious...
Nice
honestly figured you were actually going to loose this one, high elf units a little op in this one!!!
Live Tom?? YES and YES
TAMURKHAN easy to kill because is a really big and fat target, perfect for archers, the heroes on the other side are small and hard to shoot while they're super strong on their own with their equipment and unique skills
