#DiorAndI is a tantalising ‘behind-the-seams’ glimpse at the making of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection for Christian Dior in 2012.
Established in the fashion world as a minimalist designer, Simons has both his reputation and the legacy of Dior on the line when appointed Creative Director of the iconic Parisian brand. With only eight weeks to complete the collection, Simons and his dedicated group of collaborators work against time to make his vision a sublime reality. Melding the everyday, pressure-filled world of fashion with mysterious echoes from Dior’s past, the film is also a colourful homage to the long-serving seamstresses at the couturier, as history is once again created at Dior

This was one of the best fashion related films I have EVER seen. I went home wanting to sew all night. I rarely use the word but this was the meaning of inspiring. Greaaaat music as well!
How were you able to see it
There is a theater in North Hollywood that sometimes shows movies before they are released, I caught it on it's last night of showing there. It's coming to theaters in April though!
What I learned and came to love about Raf is the fact that how he cared to express women’s individuality and independence through his work. I cant forget during work process how he mentioned that he did not want women to be dependent on man and leaning on to them for the feel of comfort. That struck with me for years and till this day feel a huge respect to this guy not just as a designer but as an individual . Thank u RAF
1:43 Sad that nobody in society talks or appreciates the genius of the flower walls, they are masterpieces in their own right! Look at those colors! Those tones of colors! You never see those tones in society, they make it look so next-gen fresh and fucking BEAUTIFUL!

makes so much sense. I used to adore dior now I feel like it's geared toward preppy and modernistic feel of people than it was before which was more edgy and rock and roll.
I saw it about last month! The best money I've ever spent.

The dresses look so pretty and elegant. I really admire the workmanship that goes into making them. I do think these big fashion houses put a lot of pressure on the designers. I can understand why Alexander McQueen left Givenchy because it was so stressful and he said he did not enjoy his time there.
I can see someone like Christian Soriano take over for Dior. It's very classic feminine yet modern. This is how I imagined Dior to be
great film more in depth than a lot other dogwoof films they do great documentary films so well not any weak parts in it could watch serval times easily good to see behind the dior scenes

I saw the collection. Not impressive. We miss you John Galliano. Another failed attack by the monopoly men. Gucci suffered and suffers to this day. Dior will suffer.
He's a blah and his work is boring. He's not for Dior. Dior is a celebration of creativity and ingenuity and he's a far cry from the genius that is Galliano.

Galliono is better for MMM tbh. Raf's Dior was the perfect mix of show, minimalism and Classic Dior, waaaay better than Maria Grazia
