It's pretty incredible. It's like Eluveitie is one of the few bands that mixed two of my favorite genres ever (celtic and metal). When I first heard them around 2007 I was like FINALLY. I had no idea it existed but it's everything I've ever needed.

Bagpipe, Flute, Violin, Harp etc folk instruments that you would least consider in heavy metal will make you head bang and that's why Folk Metal is so special. Eluveitie is one of the bands (the other one is COB) that brought me into the world of Heavy Metal. Been listening to them since 2011 and still can't get enough of them.
I can listen to this on repeat forever. Chrigel has possibly some of the most amazing growls I've heard from any band and I'm fairly well versed in black metal, death metal, and the other "heavy growl" genres

Im pretty sure its a penny whistle (aka Tin Whistle). Its larger than normal so its probably in the key of C, B or A instead of the smaller common key of D penny whistles.
did u ever get to seem them live? amazing performances, saw them in Texas somehow right before 2020 on a world tour and they rocked the place hype af the whole 2 hr set. Was by far the best group live I've seen with nailing the solos near flawlessly, across the board.
