  • Follow me on a trip to The Capital of BBQ in Texas. Lockhart is known for its three main spots for authentic Texas barbecue: Smitty's Market, Black's BBQ, and Kruez Market. Each of the locations has its distinct decor, traditional fans, and wonderful atmosphere. I decided to go taste the sausage links at each place since it was much cheaper than buying the brisket by the 1/4 pound. Hopefully, I don't make you too hungry.

Makes your mouth water. I'm used to Kansas City style which is great but, that Texas style seems like you get bigger portions than here in Kansas.

I had been eating the brisket the last few days in Austin, plus at $24 a pound, the sausage was a bit more economical. Thanks for checking things out.
