- The NHS are trialling a new headset that is said to help relieve depression by sending electric pulses into the brain
A clinic which treats 5,000 people with anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and addiction hopes it will restore activity in brain cells which result in a reduction of depressive symptom.
the founder of Flow Neuroscience, Daniel Mansson, talks Stephen and Ellie through the new creation.

The newsreaders obviously think it’s all very funny, they obviously have never suffered with depression, how immature.
I will be surprised If this goes ahead, the doctors are not going to give up their pharma bucks from all those non effective meds they prescribe.
I'm disappointed that all of them were regurgitating the serotonin myth.
That is the big problem. Only the public/patients can push them to change where they spend peoples NI contributions.
It's the pharma companies pushing these devices
Meds that have 'suicide ideology' as a 'side effect'!
From one who has worked, on a contract for pharmaceutical industry. You start with the creation of drugs, themselves, then some years of testing, around nine, so this whole branch of medicine will loose money, vast amounts, billions, then you have the distribution line, like A.A.H Pharmaceuticals, for one, who will lose millions. Neither the creators, manufacturers, and distributors will ever allow this gimmick to take over.
There are billions, and I mean billions being made out of this one type of medicine, which splits into other areas that involve a sedative effect, Methadone, for one.
So the state provides an oppressive environment that makes us depressed and then the NHS gives us magic hats so we can cope with it; now I'm really depressed.
You are probably right but a suicidal depression is a medical emergency and some sort of intervention is needed quickly sometimes.
So...exit from the State. No-one is forcing you to engage. Disengage. Let's see how you go...
@@martynblackburn9632 the state creates the environment in which we live; what are you suggesting, suicide? That's quite a radical "solution", even the NHS don't go that far, they're offering us magic hats instead!
Carrot and stick, and we still the donkeys. Damn right, negative government stories, negative media, negative, negative, negative, no wonder there is no light in the nation when all the fitting are wired to the negative, no positive, and no earth
This will make eating bugs and living in little boxes more pleasurable as it rewrites your brain turning you into a full compliant zombie Sheeple people… ☠️
Yes, this is going to be used for nefarious purposes, I have no doubt.

The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and digital currencies (BTC,ETH...)
That’s right and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, l'm so happy I have been earning $ 55,000 returns from my $9,000 investment every 14 days...

The crypto market is highly profitable with an expert broker just like Mrs Deborah Mary Smythe , I got recommended to her and since then my financial life has been a
success.
Same here, I earn $55,000 in 2weeks. GOD bless Deborah Mary Smythe, she has been a blessing to my family...
I had RTMS at Hospital in Northampton some years ago. I have Bipolar disorder and it helped me very much. It was administered at the Hospital for 1 month daily by specialist nurses. It's like a woodpecker tapping on your temple area for about 20 minutes as you just relax. It is less invasive than ECT which I refuse to have. I would say this is amazing and should be available on the NHS. Brilliant technology. This is called a 'Flo' machine and I actually bought one because I could use it at home. If you feel a deep depression coming on, you need 'top ups' to 'nip it in the bud'. I would recommend this to anyone with severe depression.
@Neria Wolf see your Doctor/Psychiatrist and ask for it. Good luck. 🙏❤️x
They are £400 and now £69 on top of that because of duty ect...I want it desperately but I can't afford it and the NHS trials could take yrs. I got excited which made me feel anxious and now I know I won't get one. Nothing worse than hope.
Great ,give them all to the civil service staff, the office needs sorting big time, we the taxpayers are being taken for a ride by these people , and take away the gold plated pension, same with the NHS staff , see how they like paying in for over 50 years to get crapped out,
A healthy body, belonging to an actual community, a sense of purpose. Depression is akin to hibernation. When the environment requires you to do so, your body goes into battery saver mode. I have a healthy body and a sense of purpose, now I'm working on the community part, but that's hard living in London where everyone is foreign/doesn't speak my language properly.
put some more coal on the fire, Gupta :) I know what you mean and how government and parliament have engineered this whole thing. People need to ditch the media, ditch listening to government, learn to sit back, separate themselves from the negative, and then when they have achieved this, after cold turkey, then look, and it is amazing to see the deception of these two bodies and the media, they playing us like fools.
So brainwashing then? 😆
Wouldnt it be eaiser and more ethical to tase the politicians into better mental health? You know, treat the cause rather than the symptom...
Wear headset, plug into mains. No more depression 😵💫
No... just buy on of these ➰
Is it real
I will give it a go, is it Snake oil remedy?
@@alaneckersley2586 No its legit.. Been using mine 2 weeks and its a game-changer
It’s AMAZING 💖
have you tried it?? would love to know more of your opinion on it
Mr Data. Help Laforge with his widget. Make it so.
You'd be a fool to try it with what has been happening in the last 3 years.
I tried it some years ago and it actually worked. I wouldn't usually try these things but I was desperate with long term depression/Bipolar disorder and I would never have ECT. I think that is barbaric. This is so much gentler with no side affects.
How do I get on this trial?
Ask your Doctor or Psychiatrist. X
You tick the box that says "Pregant or not" and then you get really angry, and that triggers your amygdala to think about drag queens turning our children gay. Eventually, you'll vote Tory or some other associated political culture war party (Reform) and then you qualify.

@@SKELTER. I know the system is 'broken' in the UK atm but push and push if you feel very bad. Good luck. 🙏❤️x

Quelle surprise, I am very suspicious of this device, right off the bat.
If I feel depressed i just watch Ellie for a few minutes - that's a cure!
How about treating the cause rather than symptoms? There's a novel idea!
Yes in an ideal World but realistically the resources aren't there or are mismanaged by Government.
Agree Jason. The US are *way* ahead of us in treating the cause for conditions like depression, ptsd, and the like - it's not rocket science. And even using this piece of equipment, in the majority of cases, the cause would *still* need to be addressed.
@Diane Griffen I agree but emergency interaction is needed when in a 'suicidal depression'.
@@dianegriffen2756 Absolutely. The problem, at least part of it, is funding as always. I knew a woman who worked in mental health for the NHS. They were always grossly underfunded, and as a consequence, understaffed. So people needing care were put on ridiculous waiting lists, or didn't get any help at all. But there were multiple 'managers' in the department, with very healthy salaries. Strange how that seems to work.
@@lizpettugani Agree. Or they're not there _because_ they're mismanaged, perhaps? 🤔
I own a TEMS machine. Can I stick two probes on my head and switch it on?
Exactly. This thing is dangerous.
Gimmicky. No doubt someone contracted to the NHS is pocketing plenty. Is it Matt Hancock by any chance?
It's like watching Tomorrows World in the early 90s!!
Clearly why the nhs is on its knees

Hmm. Perhaps it ought to have occurred to GBN that depression is not something to base amusement on. I imagine it is not the slight bit funny to sufferers and jokes about itwould increase their anxiety and stigma of the condition.
I agree, it is no laughing matter, it is life threatening.

Who needs the original media outlets when CBNews is around? So, is the start of the Cyber Men and women generation if this works, people marching around with these things on their heads, getting knocked down because they did not hear the car coming toward them?
When it comes to vehicles drivers and passengers oblivious of the rest of the noise around them, sirens sounding. At the end of the day this is a gimmick for a slow day at CBNews.
Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry there is no way that such devices will be allowed to enter the market, billions would be wiped out company stocks.
Just no. Even if there's instant results, what about long term damage? No.
I know of a revolutionary technique to relieve depressive afflictions of all kinds: it's called listening to the joyful plummy accents of most better Tory MPs. I just don't know why the NHS doesn't recommend it to all depressed patients. They should do. It worked for me and now I go about my entire day and night with a spring in my step and joy in my heart.
Depresion is over diagnosed and over medicated by predatory Big Pharma.
Melancholy is a normal human mood.

If they want to cure depression somehow, they should suggest nature than electrical equipment. Oh, and don't recommend vaping as an alternative to smoking (just try to stop entirely) as neither are healthy nor safe.
Sunshine, exercise in nature, meditation and healthy food = best cure for depression. The last few years we have been 'prescribed' the exact opposite by the government.

@@bobsyouruncle9662 I was being ironic pal.. it cannot be fixed. So don't relay crap about eating. I've had it all my life, I've seen a personal trainer commit suicide. Saying eat well is like saying eat a banana to grow a Leg back. Your statement was insulting.
@@johndavies4644 I’m getting depressed just reading that mate. “It cannot be fixed” a positive mindset goes a long way. If that doesn’t work get 3G of psilocybin down your neck. Worked for me.
@Bobs your uncle you cannot fix mental health issues, they can give you techniques to make it easier to live with.
