Jack Lambert was, is and always will be my favorite player EVER. He played with so much passion and anger. A superb player who got the great 70s Steelers over the hump in 74.
I been arguing w assholes all day about that they think cause he wasnt 240 at least he couldnt play today.finally i said well when mean joe green is scared of you u a bad mofo n can play anywhere.they didnt seem ta like that.not only could jack play hed most likely still have the same success.it was his football iq and his style of smash somebody every play.i seenem all lt butkus ,singletary, and on and on not even ray lewis well maybe ray leqisplayed a little lime him.but damn sure nobody else .
People talk about the '85 🐻 bein' the best D, or the '00 Ravens or '01 Bucs. The Steelers D SHUTOUT 5 OF IT'S FINAL 8 OPPONENTS & WENT 22 QUARTERS IN A ROW W/OUT GIVIN' UP A DEFENSIVE TD...'nuff said. ✌️🖤💛
This mass didn't need to hit the opponent, Lambert just hugged him and let himself fall. No one ever got up. I remember my middle school years, never missing a Steelers game on TV here in Mexico City. Great team, great years!
No matter what any one says i believe Lambert is the meanest and best NFL player ever. I love to watch this guys film and i am not a Steelers fan i love the Cardinals. i wish they could find a guy like Lambert
It don't matter how much of a tough guy you think you are. When you are face to face with a man with no front teeth, you are going to think long and hard about your next decision.
We have to give it to Jack Lambert for being the GOAT MLB. Nine out of 11 Pro Bowls, and four Super Bowls, in which he was an integral part of each win. The greatest must be winners, and he won the most at his position. There have been some great MLBs who did not win. They cannot be considered at the GOAT! Jack Lambert played in a time when the rules were far different from today. There have always been narcissists that, if turned loose will ruin anything. The coaches controlled them until Jimmy Johnson turned them loose in the 80s at Miami. Every down ought not be a celebration; it's a team's duty to make first downs and the defense to stop them. It ought not be a party every time a team does that. My husband played ball. He was an MLB. You understand that rule changes have made the game a run and jump game. Which takes a lot away from the defensive strategic applications we saw just back in the `80s. Scoring, scoring, scoring, passing, passing, passing is what fans want. Gun and run! Of course, all of us who have our view of the game admit that the vast majority of the fans don't appreciate the game itself. It's the show they like. They are adrenaline junkies. They want scoring, more and more scoring. They don't even know tackling techniques, which are mostly gone today. Millions of people want to paint themselves up, just like the players, and they wait for the last two minutes when they get that adrenaline rush. Or either when the cameras go at them, and then they can holler and scream and make faces and act like fools. Tattoos and hooks in the nose and ears show a scope of mind. A once famous couple named Cher and Greg Allman (deceased) tattooed themselves up many years ago, showing the scope of their brains were about the circumference of a dime. Over the years both have talked about how stupid it was and how they hate those tattoos now. The golfer Lee Trevino had his name tattooed on his forearm in the military. He became so ashamed of it he wore a piece of tape over it. Having one of the best personalities ever and one of the tiniest egos ever, he today makes jokes about that tattoo. "That was back when I was afraid I would forget my own name." Ha! If let loose fools and pompous dandies will ruin anything they get around. The PGA and the LPGA have taken aim at stopping the narcissism from taking over the game. However, new equipment has made that game one in which the long ball hitters have a monster advantage over the shorter hitters. If something's not done, the shorties will be gone from professional golf. I'm sure you don't watch golf, and neither do we on a regular basis. But the announcers are so bad all they talk about is length, length, length. Shot-making is definitely secondary, or even lower. Football is gone. It will never come back. The cats are loose and there's no way to herd them back into sane land. In football, Lawrence Taylor used his speed to change the game, by moving from one end of the line to the other and rushing the passer. The way offenses today move down the field was invented by Johnny Unitas: The pocket, the short passes to the sides and over the middle and then long ones. The way linebackers stand behind the line and move around was invented by Sam Huff. Those are great things! Wonderful things! Players and their talents and their brains did that. Not rule changes and lax coaches. Not new equipment. Walter Payton was an amazing running back who worked his ass off and was a gentleman on the field. He often spoke out about what he called "the ridiculous shows players want to put on after making a 3-yd gain." The last winning Bears teams of the mid-80s was when the narcissistic show-offs began to take over. The barbarians are no longer at the gates; they are in the courtyards running the show. I wrote this in honor of the GOAT MLB: Jack Lambert. May our Lord bless and keep him!
The guy projected a mean attitude. And he backed it up. Psychology is part of the game. He knew this. And he was a lite weight middle linebacker. Not a man to be fooled with on the field or off of it.

When they talk about Lamberts size, this saying comes to mind. " It is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog."
It was a different game back then. When men were men and nobody ever thought of kneeling for the national anthem. 🇺🇸💪
Like it should be !!!
This ain't got shit to do with the National Anthem Football is Football
Awesome channel!
How about Mel Blount?
Before Corona Virus, Keeping up with the Karadashians, Mike Tyson, this is what scared me.
