This was awesome!! My excited 8-year-old son wants to tell you all something... I love marching bands and I love American history and that mixed is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sad to see what the Pandemic has done to the Corps. Here's to a Speedy recovery. That being said: I do not have the proper words to express my pride in a group that shows such Dedication, Discipline and Hard Work as you people. Thank you.
41s regiment of foot fifes and drums of fort George. Since 2010 always been impressed with yours ability to play and perform and another muster for CWF&D to come back again Sincerely alumini of the ol' 41st of fort George keep on keeping on !
Beautiful video and excellent musicianship. Those damned wool uniform coats over linen shirts and wescots are hot as hell in the summer. I know because I was a drummer ('74 - '78) in the 9th Pennsylvania Regiment of the Continental Line (Brigade of the American Revolution) based in Erie, PA. Due to the huge backlog of excellent Cooperman drums in 1974 I made my own drum. Using an unfinished Ludwig wood shell and rims 16" diameter, 18" tall I used linen ropes, calfskin heads, catgut snares, blacksmith made snare tensioner, solid brass head tack sunburst air hole pattern. Handmade buff drum sling w/ blacksmith made S hook, rosewood drumsticks, proper musician's hangar (Spanish blade) with American styled slotted brass guard and turned maple handle.
I really enjoyed this - -very fine. But sadly I was reminded of a great sadness that was transgressed here beginning at 3:20. "Always put horses at the end of the parade."
@@Enochthehammer Bravo! I worked at Heritage Hill in the late 90s. I started learning fife about a year ago and hooked up with River Valley Colonials out of Janesville.
Musicians in both armies wore reverse colors to the unit's uniforms. British regiments with blue facings would appear with blue coats with red trim, for example. This is the reverse of the Continental Army uniform that was blue coats with red facings.
As a Resident of Exeter New Hampshire it makes me glad to see the Union Jack in the Corner of our Yankee Flag. We should never of gotten rid it. Or the Red Coats.😊👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
I love the sound of the drums and love the uniforms

Very good group here. Very good indeed.
Nice! On my bucket list!
wonderful
Getting ready to go there!
Besides whiskey, roads and the gun, the drum corps is a nice touch
Is that the East India Company flag displayed?
I’m in fifes and drums
oooo they got them new... one, two, buckle my shoe
imagine my surprise when I realized they were playing Scottish music.
I would have liked to have heard "Lili Bolero", "British Grenadiers" and the original "Yankee Doodle".

One of the more "real" demos ive ever seen. This is how it was done.
I'm getting Air force JROTC flashbacks!
Anybody knows the name starting at 23:16 ?

Fantastic. We are starting a corps at Heritage Hill in Green Bay. Love watching the Corps at Williamsburg. So well done. Absolute gold standard.

Tremendous! 👍🏻🎅👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😄
How fun!
Do you think these are drum rudiments from 1776? Sound like DCI to me.
Since this was a graduation march, the graduate has the opportunity to adlib the solos, hence the dci influence in the solos

BRAVA!
ok, so, why are they wearing British red coats and the Grand Union flag of the Continental Army? Who are these guys?

Notice that the standard-bearer is wearing a blue coat with red facings. The regular uniform.
