  • The time between you leaving home and getting to the job site is a great time to gather your thoughts and get yourself mentally prepared for the work that is ahead of you. This time can either be a time of peace and sanctuary or time of stress and dread. a good pipe and a cup of coffee always helps the day go along! #farming #discipline #homestead #inspiration #motivation #pipes #coffee #fitness #whiskey #family #cigars #bluecollar

Very nice view, full of green, refreshing. Plus with a cup of coffee and a bowl of early morning pipe. Perfect!!!... enjoy your day.

I have an hour to and from work. I work midnights and those two hours mean so very much in my life. They always have a pipe involved. Normally in silence. Always enjoyable. Be safe have fun.

Well said. I drive about an hour each way for work and that is great to get me ready for the day in the mornings and enough time to let the stress of work go before I get home in the evenings. I enjoy the occasional pipe during those trips as well. That's definitely a good look'n view, some beautiful country.

Another great video man. With some awesome advice. I am not a blue collar worker myself anymore, but I sure do still appreciate the drive to work. My commute is a lot shorter than it has been in the past but there is something so special about the drive.
Despite not being a married man, working 6 day work weeks, keeping active, social engagements, family and the like… the need for ME time is super important. I like to listen to music to start my morning, or meditate before the Lord. God bless brother!

I envy the blue collar man. Curse the day I ever sat down at that desk. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for my job. It keeps a roof over my head and food on the table. Oh how I wish I had done it differently, lol.

I'm in southern Ohio as well, every now and again I have to stop the truck because I realize I'm driving through a postcard.

The drive home for me is usually that me time/decompression time. I get rid of the crap from work and get ready to take care of the homestead and family. I might get time to smoke a pipe toward the end of the day, before bedtime but that’s not always the case. My mornings have been a crap show. Wake up and move slow and leave late, then I’m spending. Yes I hate working 50 hours a week, but I do it for the family.
    Love Malcom Guite!

Love the advice, I typically take that time to listen to the Bible and to pray and meditate on God and his word

Larry, is your Stanley thermos the one that fits inside the lunch box?

Your wife doesn’t support you by preparing your breakfast or lunch?

@@TacoSousVide that's a terrible mentality to have towards your wife if she doesn't make him lunch it's a group effort in a marriage

@@Blueridgepiper I worded that poorly and maybe I do have a poor mindset. This guy sounds like a great dude and it sounds like he’s sacrifices so much for his family. I’m just wondering if he’s also getting the support he deserves.

Trust me I get more support than I deserve. My wife supports our 2 children including breastfeeding my 7 month old son all night long. I get up about 2 hours before the wife and kids so I normally prep my own breakfast.
