@Vegas EMT You're right. But a lot of people forget the Packers were playing against the Legion of Boom. There's blame to go all around, but in the playoffs, you have to be pretty much perfect to get to the big game. Especially against a defense like that. That entire special team knew they had a chance to end the game and win the Superbowl right there. The Packers needed the most overlooked facet of the game to come through for them and they didn't get it done. The offense did their job. Over 21 points in the playoffs. Both teams defense AND offense did their job. It came down to special teams in the end. And I know a lot of people point out "Oh well the defense should have just stopped the Seahawks in overtime". THAT'S bullshit. Games shouldn't be decided in overtime by the flip of a coin. The modern NFL has high-powered offenses, it's catered to offense more than ever and people want to argue it's a good idea to pit exhausted defenses against these offenses in overtime and give them the win if they score all because a coin flip decided who got the ball first? YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much! Best game ever! Sometimes a good blow out can be as entertaining as a close game, and lucky for us, it was on the Packers side! Between my internet buddies, the game itself, and the aftermath, my body was hurting from so much laughter. It was bad enough for the Bears, but keep this in mind, compared to any other blowout, this just had legendary bad moments for the Bears compared to our other victims of blowouts. 1. the "blocked punt" had Jarrett Boykin kick the ball before the punter, never happened before or since 2. Matt Flynn was put in halfway through Quarter 3, whereas in most other games the back up comes in late in the 4th quarter to finish up. 3. Cutler's pick 6 throw hit Kyle Long's helmet right into Heyward's arms, and it went 82 yards. 4. Bears had multiple defenses played during Jordy's 70+ yard TD catch. 5. the big stuff by CM3 on Chris Williams 6. Eddy Lacy's screen for TD I have seen other blowout games over the years, but none were as entertaining as that, I look at other blowouts including the 55-7 victory over the Jake Locker led Titans, not as entertaining as not a single TD pass was over 50 yards and pick 6's. The 2011 blowouts, just A-Rod being a bad man, the MN blowout that same season didn't have that same laugher feel. I will forever remember this one, as my personal favorite game ever.
yah I remember that blocked punt. It was weird when watching cause you never saw the ball suddenly bounce or make that sound. Never before or since in all my years watching football have I remembered seeing it happen like that. Remember being on an online chat board on espn when it happened and one guy responded lol bears are the keystone cops of the NFL
When the bears hire a nobody from the Canadian league as head coach, who knows nothing about football, you get blown out like this. I turned the game off at half time.
MAN I miss the era of packers dominance, i suppose it cant last forever. The bears actually have a competitive team this year, and the packers have certainly fallen a few steps from greatness since then.

This was doubtlessly my lowest point as a Bears fan given the expectations that year and watching them just completely shit the bed against the Packers
What's interesting about that game, the Bears were the first team since the 1920's to give up back to back 50 point games, and including this game, the Packers scored back to back 50 point games for the first time in team history, yet ironically it was the 3rd season in a row that that had happened vs giving up 50 point games. Even more interesting is that that game also had Heyward score a defensive TD, Peppers with a pick 6, a blocked punt, that screen TD you mentioned, among other miscues by the Eagles. 2014 was a fun nfl season
Oh Eddie Lacy. I forgot all about him. So much potential. The dude was a powerhouse, who also happened to LOVE FOOD. At first he reminded me of Jerome Bettis, then Gilbert Brown.
*You can't blame Cutler for this loss, he needed better offensive team and catchers even though the bears still would have lost against Aaron Rogers!!*
Jordy Nelson before the ACL injury took his legs away. He never got his speed back. He was never able to get open in his routes. That's why he is now a Raider, and I don't know if he'll be a number 1 receiver there, either.
Empr4evr he got open he just wasny the deep threat he was before mostly because of predictable play calling. I could literally know that they would go play action deep to Jordy just by the formation and it never worked

1. the "blocked punt" had Jarrett Boykin kick the ball before the punter, never happened before or since
5. the big stuff by CM3 on Chris Williams
6. Eddy Lacy's screen for TD
I have seen other blowout games over the years, but none were as entertaining as that, I look at other blowouts including the 55-7 victory over the Jake Locker led Titans, not as entertaining as not a single TD pass was over 50 yards and pick 6's. The 2011 blowouts, just A-Rod being a bad man, the MN blowout that same season didn't have that same laugher feel. I will forever remember this one, as my personal favorite game ever.
frenchfrey65 I watched that Titans blowout in person at Lambeau Field. It was awesome, and this game live on tv. You’re right this one was epic!
yah I remember that blocked punt. It was weird when watching cause you never saw the ball suddenly bounce or make that sound. Never before or since in all my years watching football have I remembered seeing it happen like that. Remember being on an online chat board on espn when it happened and one guy responded lol bears are the keystone cops of the NFL
That same night my now ex-wife decided to tell me she was leaving me. That was a good night.
She didn't like to ride bikes...I heard that's why she dumped you..
The Bears defense looked like a midleschool defense
When the bears hire a nobody from the Canadian league as head coach, who knows nothing about football, you get blown out like this. I turned the game off at half time.
I love that touchdown on the screen. All lineman have amazing blocks. Lacy cuts back and get the receiving corp blocking for him too
MAN I miss the era of packers dominance, i suppose it cant last forever. The bears actually have a competitive team this year, and the packers have certainly fallen a few steps from greatness since then.
Damn jordy was fast!! Out running lacy.
I was having a good time rewatching this game, then the first TD happened, and a certain name made all the horrible memories about how this season ended come back to haunt me.
I had both Arron and Jordy on my fantasy team that night
Loved this so much
This was the first packers game and next I saw 53-20 victory against the eagle and i became in a packer fan what a memory
This is when 12 was a beast! He plays bad now. I hope he figures it out and becomes a beast in the playoffs!
The Jay Cutler era in Chicago was the best time to be a Packers fan 😁
1:13 Rodgers throws a touchdown to 3rd string TE Brandon Bostick. Little did he know that Bostick would cost the Packers a Super Bowl 2 months later.
the blocks by 70 at 3:46 were some of the best linework ive ever seen
Man yo our offense was stacked with talent so was our defense surprised we didn't win more super bowls with this squad
Man look at those 6 hard passes from Cutler. So accurate, his receivers don't even have to move.
This will never happen again 🤦🏾♂️💯
If it happens again it certainly wont be in the near future. Teams would be lucky to score 3 touchdowns against our defense! 🐻⬇️
@@CubsFan2812 Like how the Packers did in the 4th quarter last season when you were up 20-0 at halftime and 20-3 going to the 4th?
This game sums up Cutlers career 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In 2022/23...I missed those long bombs from Roger to Nelson. What a TD combo...
Man I miss that game
This was doubtlessly my lowest point as a Bears fan given the expectations that year and watching them just completely shit the bed against the Packers
Whenever I feel down I watch Packers/Bears games. Ahh... that's better.
When the Packers play the Bears, about 8 million bung holes pucker up.
How scared do you think the ref was at 1:07? Rodgers damn near took his head off.
Packers Eagles 2014 game where we blew em out and Lacy had that crazy screen for the TD? One of my favorite games from that year
What's interesting about that game, the Bears were the first team since the 1920's to give up back to back 50 point games, and including this game, the Packers scored back to back 50 point games for the first time in team history, yet ironically it was the 3rd season in a row that that had happened vs giving up 50 point games.
Even more interesting is that that game also had Heyward score a defensive TD, Peppers with a pick 6, a blocked punt, that screen TD you mentioned, among other miscues by the Eagles. 2014 was a fun nfl season
When you realize this was damn near 62-14.
Nelson, cobb, young adams, lacy. We wouldve had another super bowl if it wasnt for bishop😅😪😪
What about the defense that couldn't stop Wilson in the last 5 minutes and overtime???
They are clearly the most culpable..
Cutler will always be one of Greenbays best Quaterback.
The funniest part of this game to me is davante adams playing special teams
Should have won the super bowl that season. Damn you Bostic
Lmao I remember watching this game when I was a junior in hs, I’d be ashamed being a bears fan that night 😂😂 GO PACK GO
Jordy Nelson before the ACL injury took his legs away. He never got his speed back. He was never able to get open in his routes. That's why he is now a Raider, and I don't know if he'll be a number 1 receiver there, either.
Empr4evr he got open he just wasny the deep threat he was before mostly because of predictable play calling. I could literally know that they would go play action deep to Jordy just by the formation and it never worked
i loved this game.
Came back to find this gem after the raiders hung 42 on the chargers in the first half today 12/15/23
Super cute how they just let off and let them run back the kick for a TD. You can see the Packer defenders thinking "let's let this guy just go." 🤣👏
I was at this game. It made up for the game I was also at in Chicago in early 80’s 61-7 bears.
You were actually at both of those games? That's remarkable!
The owner of the Bears should've made each and every one of those players and coaches find their own transportation back to Chicago. I wouldn't of let a single one of them on the chartered flight after a gutless performance like that
I miss these days
The best part was when the secondary team STILL dominated the bears offense, buncha sacks and INT TD. just nuts
