The thing I like about this movie is that Goku wasn't the only one to save the day. Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan and even Piccolo joined in and did their part.
I wish that happened more often in DBZ.

This OVA is a different version from the original one. I have the VHS of the this (bought in the 90s), and I rememeber clearly the whole OVA is 40++mins. The first part, the destron gas is actually split into 4 different places, and Goku and the rest split to destroy 3 of the destron gas, thereafter they meet in the city area together to destroy the last gas. After destroying and asking kaio, they head to the castle, and the rest of the fight is similar.
The Kamehameha, Masenko, Makankosappo, Burning Attack, and Final Flash... All merging together into one gigantic beam. FUCKING AWESOME. Also, I kept expecting Gohan to get pissed beyond all recognition and go SSJ2 on some asses. Still, I'm rather glad I found this video.

I am sad to say, that this may be the last time I ever see something from Dragonball animation that is original that I have never seen. It was a pleasure watching something from them for the first time....what I would not give to have Akira come back and re start the show.

The Dragon Ball drought was real during the 2000s and 2010s. I can't blame this guy, over the course of a decade there's only been two OVA special (Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return and this remake), so nobody was expecting Dragon Ball returning anytime soon. There was so much OC and fanmade shit during that time period and everyone ate that shit up. There were also so many fan theories such as "Dragon Ball Hoshi" being Akira Toriyama's new work (it was just people rebranding DB Heroes' game trailers) and other shit that so many people bought, cause there legit was nothing and people were so bored they pulled shit out of their ass. It was fun though seeing all the fan made stuff such as DB Multiverse and AF, as well as the numerous fan manga that were written during the time.
I just realized Hatchiyack has 15 green power circles on his body to rerpresent 15 secs .

I grew up with and have watched all of Akira Toriyama's original DB, DBZ, and DBGT episode and movie sagas by Toei Animation since it first appeared on TV in 1989 when I was 6 yrs old longggg before it hit the United States in 1998. The familiar opening theme song, "Cha-La-Head-Cha-La" sung by Hironobu Kageyama was the staple song for DBZ. Watching the epic all over again takes me back to my childhood years in Tokyo, Japan. Thanks for the upload!

Not make sense by the story line though. at this period Goku already finished his training with Gohan( he got ssj form). Meaning that Vegeta and Trunk would be able to use buff muscle form already, and they could use it to win again enemy high defend instead of using normal mode. Not to mention that this boss is clearly weaker than perfect cell, but Ki-o- says that he has strongest Ki that he never seen before.

Yup, and Kai ended at Cell because the rest of the original frames was lost(you know with the whole tsunami and shit) Plus they really weren't sure if they'd do buu because buu itself wasn't supposed to happen, Toriyama just did it for the fans really...
actually, goku wasnt really there. he talked to gohan from other world, but the goku that appeared is to show how goku's confidence flowed through gohan in that one blast. but think, 5 super saiyans is like a ssj5. all of their most powerful attacks (minus the spirit bomb) were blasted at one time. it would only take 2 super saiyans combined to beat cell. if a kamehameha can "atomise" cell, then a combined blast similar to the kamehameha would definitely destroy cell. and 5 kamehameha's combined
cos they made this AFTER all the DBZ series was finished... they forgot vegeta only become so "teammate" like after the Buu fight :( if this was before/after cell saga Vegeta said he wouldn't find again or something D: ... correct me if im wrong hahaha

No, I don't think the multiverse theory could be real. Just simply having multiple universes can't be the get-out-of-a-paradox solution. No, I'll argue it was the DBZ Universe, and say that although Goku did try to have himself and Gohan stay in FPSSJ for the 10 days before the Cell Games, they probably didn't, and I don't think FPSSJ is something you can just transform into in the middle of a fight.

This isn't the original Japanese version, it's the 2010 remake. The true original OVA was released in 1993 and was called "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans", not "Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans".

no cus they stopped,they were planning on it as far as i know but decided against it. BTW The "Kai" (改「かい」) in the series' name means "updated," "modified," or "altered." and Toei Animation stated that the Dragon Ball Kai episodes would be edited to more closely follow Akira Toriyama's original story in the manga, resulting in a faster moving story, and to remove any damaged frames. Dragon Ball Kai minimize the filler material produced for Dragon Ball Z's original production run like garlic jr.

You are so wrong Kai was made in Japan, it aired on Fuji TV on April 2009. And so what if it's on nicktoons and edited that's why there's uncut dvds. Kai has high ratings on tv, but it was the dvd sales that were low, since people are too lazy to support the show and spend money.

@lilkornman1 You're wrong, Kai didn't ruin the original it corrected it. And I'm a hardcore fan too. I mean Kai is way more like Toriyama's original manga. All it did was remove all the filler/padding. Plus, Kai had high ratings! In Japan it was in the top 10 most watched shows. And here in America, it's Nicktoons #1 show!!
Of course I know that, I'm not a complete DBZ Amutar. What I'm saying is that we've never seen either of them transform into FPSSJ, but I have seen Goku transform into Normal SSJ afterwards, even in the manga, so I'm saying that I don't think it's fully replaced Normal SSJ for them, and it might be impractical to transform into FPSSJ in that situation, eg. You probably have to turn SSJ then wait a minute or two to calm down and get it under control.
when did i tell you to get kai dvds.......never. Ive been saying Kai is an Updated DBZ and you think qouteing wrestlers something that has nothing to do with this will work no it wont. And for the second time,its not about dvd sales,kai was canceled due to the lack of interest in the toys.

wow.... If you watch anime & aren't at least familiar with subtitled episodes, OVA Specials, etc, then I doubt you'd understand the "point" if it was explained to you. Perhaps you just watched DBZ in English on American TV & aren't a fan of other anime series... if so then you are really missing out IMO but to each their own. @josephroxursox Well no not really, watch those few episodes on dragonball z again, I was making the point that those 10 days was the only time it could have happened, but it couldn't have possibly happened then. Goku looks for dragonballz and gohan ends up at kami's lookout for half of it and every else is taking turns in the time chamber. no way it happened in those 10 days. Japan does parody/universe material like that all the time, but I don't want to get in a thing over this on youtube.
They probably never brought this to USA cuz it makes no sense when it could have happened. Because The only reason why THAT Trunks would be there would be if it happened during the Cell Sage, but Gohan's hair and clothes suggest recently came out of the hyperbolic time chamber to fight in the cell games, and it could have not been after the games because Goku dies. The only time this could have possibly happened was during the 10 days after they left the chamber, but before the cell games.
that would destroy cell or buu before they had a chance to reform. its pretty much a spirit bomb. 5 z fighters using attacks. one of them is goku. goku is the strongest anyway. 4 more attacks just as strong as the kamehameha, DEFINITELY can destroy cell since gohan did it one armed. buu it most likely will.
I prefer watching anime with the original japanese voices but in dragonball i can't stand the fact that the voice of goku is absolutely ridiculous..i mean, who uses such a whimpy voice for one of the best anime characters ever (not only cause of power but for his character too).Even king kai sounds more manly than goku...

"the strongest in the universe" was a way better movie
if only kai graphics were as good as these they should just redo all the Dragon Ball Z episodes with these graphics Kai was just a FAIL it skiped over 80 episodes and its already finished at the cell saga if they just remasted the music to HD and made the graphics like this it would have been better same with the movies

5 super saiyans will not equal a SSJ5. In the Android Saga, Android 18 took on vegeta, trunks, and piccolo at the same time. Android 18 is much weaker than Perfect Cell. SSJ2 can obliterate Perfect Cell, which means SSJ2 is much stronger than two SSJ's
