Mad Max Fury Road is a MASTERPIECE of film making, and all the reviews prove it. When I hear John say stuff like he didn't really like it that much, but continues to praise Man of Steel, it makes me really question his taste in movies.
I'm a bit worried by the cgi but still have a lot of faith. I find the way they talk in a post apocalyptic world amazing. Things like "guzzaoline" "lady and gentleman's". They call bullets "Anti-seeds" cause once planted they destroy life

*Mad* *Max:* *Fury* *Road* So I was watching the first 30 minutes of Fury Road. I've seen it twice, once in the theater and another time at home. I remember back in 2015, we already had a clear bootleg copy of it after two weeks from release. Man, why the hell did Fury Road not win Best Picture for 2015? I saw The Revenant and it's not as good as Fury Road. The first 30 minutes of Fury Road moves at a frenetic pace. It's nearly balls-to-the-wall action from start to finish with very little time to have quiet moments or have a nice conversation with the characters. Hardly a dull moment in the film. It's basically like that first Predator from 1987 where the action doesn't really stop until the end credits. The action moves at a relentless pace. Revisiting my favorite 2015 films... My Top 5 Favs (Written In 2015) 1. The Force Awakens 2. The Hateful Eight 3. Avengers: Age of Ultron 4. Max Max: Fury Road 5. Jurassic World My Top 5 Favs (Written In 2023) 1. The Hateful Eight 2. Mad Max: Fury Road 3. Avengers: Age of Ultron 4. Jurassic World 5. The Force Awakens What the hell was I thinking having The Force Awakens as my favorite of 2015? Now I did have a blast watching TFA in IMAX 3D. One of my greatest theater experiences ever. Then I watched it a second time in a normal theater screen. But the movie didn't age well for me once I saw it at home around March 2016. And of course, there is all this hate on the Sequel Trilogy and on Rey when this wasn't the case before The Last Jedi. I still like TFA and it's still the best film from the ST. But that's not saying much when TLJ and TROS are so despised by SW fans. The Hateful Eight moved up to No. 1 because it's the one I've listened to the most. It's quite a divisive film similar to Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood. Some love it, some hate it or find it mid. But I love listening to the dialogue. Walton Goggins is a phenomenal actor. Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the greatest action films ever made and arguably the best of this century. True, some people didn't care for it. I know my brother didn't. He's not into that aesthetics. He's more into James Bond-like design. His least favorite decade is the 1970s because he's not into that fashion. He's also not into the hippie crowd. He's basically like Rick Dalton in Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood. I know Chris of Film Stocked also did not like Fury Road. Hey, you can't please everyone. I'm with the majority and think Fury Road should've won Best Picture for 2015. I put Fury Road up there as one of the top 10 best action/adventure films I've seen in the theater. I remember sitting next to my girlfriend and just having a big smile on my face when we got to the final act. I wanted to headbang and do the devil sign 🤘🏻 like I was Beavis and Butt-Head. It felt like we weren't just watching a movie but a rock concert. My girlfriend and I walked out of the theater with huge smiles in our faces. We had so much fun watching it. Fury Road is Duel (1971), The Book of Eli (2010) and then fusing it with Sega Rally and Twisted Metal. It's a chase/escape movie, a western, a dystopian film, a racing game, a demolition derby game, and Coachella/Woodstock rolled into one. Sprinkle some Dune in it. The people look like they came out of Zion in The Matrix Reloaded but all they want is water being that poor and being peasants. That's how effed up their world is. "Then who killed the world?" Fury Road is one of the coolest movies ever made up there with Goodfellas and True Romance. I can imagine punk rockers, metal heads, drug addicts, goth folks, and tatted thugs loving that movie too. It's so beautifully shot too. It's almost like a landscape painting Bob Ross made. The scene with all the tornadoes was so epic. The first 30 minutes of Fury Road is better than most action films last 30 minutes. While it didn't win Best Picture, it still won 6 Academy Awards. Well deserved. Fury Road is up there with all the greatest action films like Predator, Die Hard, and Terminator 2. It's that f*cking great! The movie kicks so much ass even 8.5 years later. Perhaps Furiosa will never be as good as Fury Road because Fury Road is a flawless Mad Max movie. But I'll still be there to watch Furiosa because there aren't a lot of franchises similar to Mad Max. @@matienazemy1382 because 90% of Fury Road takes place on the War Rig in the middle of a void landscape, this film clearly goes to various locations like Bullet Farm and Gas Town which are huge set pieces, so yeah more cgi would make sense in this movie and you guys really going to pretend like Fury Road had amazing CGI? the Citadel, the Sandstorm and other moments in that movie had noticeable CGI but no one cares as long as the cars are cool and the stunts are great
In the trailer you can tell that the story has nothing interesting to tell, it's just about Furiosa trying to get back home. ATJ is a great actress but she doesn't seem like an action star to me. The visual effects are inferior to Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth is not a Tom Hardy level actor and he looks ridiculous in the wig and costume. It may not be a bad movie but I anticipate that it will not be nearly as good as the previous one.
Mad Max's entire 'arc' in Road Warrior is essentially 'i'm just here for the gasoline' yeah no, Mad Max has always been about cars and action, George Miller himself even states this
I love Fury Road but this trailer is aweful. I thought it was a fan fake at first. I was already excited for this movie, but that trailer did no favors.
Getting tire of Prequel this prequel that. Hunger Game Prequel, Harry Potter Prequel, Star War Prequel, Lords of the Ring Prequel, Hollywood need to make NEW THINGS, creactivity is dead.
Yea you watch 2 movies a year. An infinite amount of original movies come out every month let alone every year. Gotta love the people like you though that don't watch movies but think it's cool to say nothing is original.
@twixx7567 underrated? So many people still talk about how it should've been nominated for Best Picture! It just became monotonous for me after awhile, with just the non-stop action. Kinda feel the same about John Wick 3. After awhile I just zoned out because nothing happened other than overly choreographed fighting. The only part I liked about Fury Road was the flamethrowing guitar player scene! And the story was just ridiculous. They drove all the way across the country for...what? Then had to drive all the way back to where they came from to wrap things up? And it's good Hardy wasn't paid by the word because he barely had any dialogue.
Mad Max: Fury Road is one of those movies that 30+ years from now film lovers will still be watching.
The thing is, this film will make Fury Road mean a lot more. Also this is gonna retroactively set up The Wasteland

I think it's suffering from Sony's E3 presentation issues where the lighting is making things look CG when it's actually not.

I just don’t think this movie is for you, it looks incredible 😂
Fury Road had a story?
Mad Max's entire 'arc' in Road Warrior is essentially 'i'm just here for the gasoline'
yeah no, Mad Max has always been about cars and action, George Miller himself even states this
Is it just me or the is the over use of cgi really throwing you off?
You are not alone. Im kind of skeptic about the amount of discernable CGI shots. Hope they fix that in post production
Not really because all the coolest stuff looks to be done practically
Im hoping the movies good but the visuals, based on this trailer, looks like a big step down from fury road.
Hemsworth looks more like a pirate otherwise with long hair he would look too much like Thor...
The Planet of the Garfield Furiosa Movie
Mad max fury road is the best action film EVER
Agreed!
H - HDR
A - Augmented images
C - Computer Generated
Too much of all 3.
I love Fury Road but this trailer is aweful. I thought it was a fan fake at first. I was already excited for this movie, but that trailer did no favors.
You must be drunk
Looked...meh. 90% green screen and shoddy CGI 🤷♂
Why does it look so much worse than fury road visually??
It looks like a lot of CGI at first glance
it was shot in australia this tie, the lighting is terrible in australia so it likey has alot more sky replasments.
You will always get whiners who are miserable in life
it visually looks the same to me
Getting tire of Prequel this prequel that.
A prequel about prequels?
Love Fury Road, but Furiosa looks awful. Ugly CGI-Mess and Hemsworth can't act, he will fail as a Villain. Also nobody can replace Charlize
Looks awful
Fury Road might be one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen.
Another movie from Mad Max franchise that couldn't bearly crack a big chunk of money in the box office. Lmao. Stop with this franchise
People AND the audience loved the movie.
