@@rj1234100 been great still. I tow a utility trailer with one or two ATVs or a few dirt bikes whatever we feel like. Does fine. I pull the trailer 600kms up north no problem. It's slow as hell but gets me there. Had to replace the original spark plugs at 325000kms got a miss fire. Plugs where rough! Clutch is still going strong. Starts perfect even when it's -35 out. Been a great truck. Il drive it till it dies.
@@586guest2 Really appreciate your feedback man, I've been going back and forth on it. And I think I'm finally sold on one. I've always seen the 4cyls from toyota and nissan outlast their v6s, just wasnt sure because the payload on these new frontiers is less than their older trucks, but it still seems capable as a work vehicle considering companies always tend to use them. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, looking forward to getting as much out of it as you do.
How is the reliability not good? The issues that you mentioned are extremely minor and are easily fixed. The Frontier is a workhorse and will last a very long time.
I'm definitely now considering on buying myself one of these used Trucks actually because I would absolutely buy myself the years from 2005 to 2009 and if I ended up getting myself the 2009 then I will definitely look into a Pro 4x and then modify the heck out of the engine and transmission and also the suspension System and also everything else in between
Faulty heat exchanger for the trans inside the radiator. If it fails, it will destroy your transmission. I bought a used '17 with 15K miles. It's been 7 months and I've put less than a 1000 miles on it.
I have my truck from 2007 and still drive it with 290,000 plus miles! I've had no major repairs done either!
Manual or auto trans?
@@kvery1932 if I had to guess auto with the semi manual
What motor u have , The 4.0 or the 2.5 four cylinder s ?
07 here with the 4 pot and standard transmission just turned over 300k. Minimal work done still on original clutch
How is it for work? I want something I can use on the side, delivering furniture and such.

ssjMaximum22Goku the tranny oil cooler and the radiator want to arrange a playdate
Ariel Lezen I've had mine for 8 years and this hasn't happened.
@@ssjMaximum22Goku Perfect example that if you take care of your vehicle, it will likely take care of you.
@@ariellezen4683 okay then go in a time machine those issues were resolved years ago
I can’t believe they still have been using this same styling for 16 years now until 2021…Wow… :/
i just bought a 2016 frontier. V6 3 mo ago. i like it.
Moe Shouse I just bought one too. How’s it treating you so far?
I tell you that truck is still holding its style I have the 2019 version of it Love it 2.5 King cab

2007 here , 160k, 8-10 loads of firewood (1500lbs) every year , v6

My 06 has been self destructing since crossing 200000
What about 2010_14 models
Is good nice truck
hmm no mention of the radiator issues taking out the transmission?
blammod I wondered the same thing. I had that issue on my 2005 frontier
How'd you fix it?
blammod. What happens?
David dorkus yup... used to work for Nissan. Great trucks 08 .
Very easy fix: Get the 6-speed manual.
That dude changed the 4h to 2wd while in march
you can do that, except for 4LO
2005-2010 avoid. I have owned multiple frontiers not those years. 300,000 miles was common for me to achieve with them.
Outdoors Nevada quick question why those years are bad on the frontier I have a family member with one 2006 and I think to buy that truck
HÉCTOR Cuba if the maintenance was kept up on the truck it will last you forever
@@Hector-iw7rp They arent bad. My 2008 D40 is still running and never had to replace anything major. Bearings in the alternator was the only thing.
How can air bags and safety features be optional in cars?
The 2000s was a very weird time.
Wym airbags come standard, it's just the side curtain airbags that are optional
