Sad to see the church as it is like, falling apart with holes in it and gravestones almoust falling down. Even the union jack flags had seen better days for sure.
It’s a great pity that St. Lukes has fallen into such a sorry state. It doesn’t seem likely that the villagers would be able to raise the £400K that is required to repair it. To me the village churches are also monuments of a sort and it would be nice to think they can be preserved on that basis for future generations even if Christianity is currently on the slide. I read that the Church of England has set aside £100million for reparations. Just saying.
@GB-bm9fe I really hope they can get everything fixed up, and normal service resumed ... it's a shame, I feel that with old historic buildings like this maybe the national trust or some other Body should be maintaining it, I don't know ... but it'll be a crime for places like this to be left to ruin
