My belief in Jesus is from my own life, only i know what im really like, and what i really think, and what ive done in my life, and to me, after receiving a thought and feeling ive never felt before in my entire life, and reading the bible and now knowing what is expected of me, i have realised how im changing, im still guilty of sin because i have a lot, but im now always finding myself very very aware of my actions, my words, thoughts, and how i treat others, im doing all sorts of things i never use to care about, its a flipping eye opening season for me, but it always makes me give thanks to the Lord for the beautiful change hes seeing me through, praise God, thankyou Simcha.

@@joevelosa7056. Hebrews 10:26-31 - If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hilarious 😆 I was notified that someone added a reply to this thread and I cannot see my reply. I think I’m banned on over 2 dozen religious channels. Just for posting scripture. Ask yourself why are Religious channels banning comments where all it is, is scripture. What do they not want you to know? Why has Jesus, The New Testament forbidden anymore religious teachers, such as Priests and Rabbis? (Matthew 23:8-12) what reason would they do that? Is there scripture they are trying to bury or interpretations they don’t want you to figure out?

My father who was in the Vietnam war was injured by a bomb. Shards and darts were placed in it. He brought a dart home that missed him as he was blown against the wall. Unfortunately my parents got rid of it when as a young girl I found it’s hiding place. He also believed that it was good luck because it missed him and he was one of the survivors.
As someone wholly appreciative and interested in history, I find Simcha’s presentations very interesting. Unlike some other historians, whom come off as being so educated and expert in their fields, they act like nothing they say, have discovered or believe, is so infallible, they deem it an insult to question them on anything they propose. Hence, it is interesting to watch Simcha, as the manner in which he investigates, is both humble and respectful, as well as humorous, as his sense of humour is appreciated in his searches for the truths that many of his viewers also question. I like to compare Simcha’s style and mannerisms to those of Egypt’s former minister of antiquities, whom presented himself as an unquestionable expert in all things. Simcha actually accepts the thoughts and discoveries of many experts, whom cause him to rethink what he once believed. Thankfully, the Egyptian historical authority, was caught being dishonest and a thieving receiving money from the state, he most certainly did not earn and was expelled quite promptly, after the legal system found him guilty and discharged him from his position. SMH…He was caught living in opulence and sending his children to expensive universities with money he had not earned, but rather, stole. Someone may have noticed this but Josephus mentioned seeing marble and the expert here says that’s not possible. However, I just watched a video of historical Jerusalem and temples were built with a material (or layered with the material ) that looked exactly like marble since they didn’t have access to marble. Here is my two cents as someone who is not a Christian (nor religious) but deeply interested in religions. I do not doubt one bit that Jesus existed. But the truth is, even though he is the main religious figure in Christianity, I believe that it is not important if he existed or not in the religious context. Because even if he existed, he was a complete different person in reality (historically) than how he was being depicted in the Bible years and years after his death which I believe to be not as significant as it is being conveyed in the texts (because historically speaking, his death changed little to nothing, things even gotten worse.) His entire life, his being, has been played with in order to support a certain agenda and match the prophecies, for example the census story and how he is from the line of David. It just doesn't make ANY sense for a family to travel to Bethlehem (which took 4 days according to the Bible), a small village where a census is not even held by the Romans, you cannot find any census data of small villages, because they were only held in bigger cities. There are so many other examples, too. In general context, I believe him to be still an important figure that existed, however not as a Christian figure. He was a Jew, a zealot, and he knew the Romans were a problem and he knew his lands had to be cleared from the enemies. He was a leader, a revolutionist. I think his teachings were esoteric in nature and his delivery gathered many people, which made him a respected and wise figure. This made him a great threat to the Romans, because hope was rising. Hence, this led to his crucifixion, and here I want to mention that many people who showed even the littlest threat were crucified, it was nothing special to Jesus. The rise of Christianity occurred for political reasons, especially to convert the Romans and nationalize Christianity in order to escape their wrath because failing to do so meant that just like the people who were exiled from Jerusalem and people who have been killed in the past for persuading a such belief, they too would be destroyed along with their Church. Today, unfortunately the Bible is taken literally, when it should be read while keeping in mind that it is a whole new literary genre, and *historically* inaccurate because their understanding of history and our understanding of history is completely different. The Bible should be studied from a spiritual and psychological perspective. Places and people mentioned in the Bible will of course be found, however this will not necessarily prove anything about who Jesus truly was. I fully believe there to be a tremendous amount of wisdom in these texts, however not for the general population to understand right away. It is a beautiful teaching that conveys the importance of salvation, but the power to do so comes from within as it is actually depicted through the story of Jesus. These teachings are based on Kabbalah and Alchemy and the only difference we see is the deliverance. We see how such delivery plays a significant role in forming an entire belief system and how it gives humanity hope in regards to being saved from a world that has been so cruel for us, because of our cunning and manipulative psyche. We would do anything to be saved, even play with the reality to support such a belief that we will be saved, but never even attempt to get rid of such psyche that keeps us in Hell. Such belief that suggests someone will come to save us is very unfortunate, when all we have is ourselves, and the only person who can save you is, you guessed it, yourself. Hope this doesn't come off as offensive. I love every human from every religion, race, ethnicity and I have so much respect for those who choose to participate in religions. If you read until here, I recommend the book Zealot by Reza Aslan. Have a good one.

In 1978 the Shroud of Turin was subjected to intensive evidence gathering. This evidence was then analyzed over a period of three years. The conclusions are that the Shroud has been in contact with a human corpse and that its image is not composed of paint, stain, ink, watercolor, or scorch and that the image is not the work of an artist. No known natural process can account for the image which contains skeletal features. It seems to be the result of some type of radiation whose origin was the enclosed corpse. Therefore, the possibility of a related neutron radiation event has to be considered when evaluating the Shroud's C14 data. However, the British Museum refused to do that, and, instead, manipulated the both Shroud's C14 data and its mathematical analysis in order to arrive at the Museum's desired conclusion. When the Museum was finally forced by a court order in 2017 to release all of the original 1988 C14 data, a reevaluation of that data resulted in the conclusion that the data was too disparate to be a valid indicator of a date. Nuclear engineer Robert Rucker tested that data using a Los Alamos neutron radiation evaluation program and has found that the Shroud's C14 data is compatible with the hypothesis of a neutron radiation event from the enclosed corpse. shroudresearch(dot)net
That shroud was not left by Jesús but created and planted by satán because God does not want any object to become an excuse to praise, adoration or veneration. God said in the 10 Commandments not to make any imagen and not to render any adoration.

What surprised me is when they were wondering why they couldn't find any nails. For one thing back then, making nails was a very tedious task for a blacksmith to make, which means they weren't cheap! So they were most likely sparingly used on those whom did some really messed up stuff like maybe killing a Roman or Roman soldier etc. Also if people took them as good luck charms there should be some evidence of that as well because those nails would have been handed down through the family as an heirloom so there should be more Roman crucifixion nails somewhere? However it's also possible that after the corpse has rotted away the nails were most likely recovered by the Roman's so they can use again since they were so expensive, so if the nail was bent after they removed it from the wood and if it was bent, they would just straighten it out. As for the nail in the heel of the skeletal remains of the crucified heel you can see that they could not remove the nail from the wood because it was bent pretty good inside the wood itself so it's possible they just said screw it and let it stay there and so they gave what was left of the corpse to the family to bury. That's why back then most everything that they built was made if stone and mortar and mud etc. But they never built a frame using wood and nails the way we do it today.
As you said, just because they use it on special people, is it possible that this one comes from Issues? After all he was the most dangerous in there eyes...

@@shainazion4073 Well, the fact that he might had the opportunity to do so is not proof that he did. It is no different with the gospels. Almost everything we know about the life of Jesus comes from these texts. But these were also written at the earliest 30 years after the death of Jesus, by people who, according to current knowledge, were also not contemporary witnesses of Jesus. Nevertheless, there are indications that the evangelists Luke and Matthew (who is most likely not identical with the apostle) did not do their own research, but for the most part took over the texts from Mark and another unknown source (the Gospel of Mark is considered the oldest of the four synoptic writings). What I want to say is: Own research was rather the exception in antiquity. Even most of the Roman historians gladly simply copied from each other...
Tacitus & Pliny & others wrote about “Christians” non-Jewish followers of Paul’s concepts, long after Jesus allegedly lived. Paul never met Jesus, was at near constant odds, in his & his followers own words, with the original followers of Jesus, messianic Jews, over the Greek-Roman mythology of Hercules-Jesus son of Zeus-God coming down to earth as part god part man, and resurrecting from the dead like Greek gods. In fact there was such disagreement with Paul that from the get go the Pauline writings were talking about apostates and false interpretations like Messianic Jews “who say there is no resurrection” since they aren’t worshipping a version of Apollo the Sun god.
The writings of Josephus are not the only contemporary extra biblical source for the existence of Jesus. There are also references attesting to Christ's existence in the writings of Suetonius, Tacitus, Lucian, Pliny the Younger, Mara bar Serapion, and in the Jewish Talmud itself...
Suetonius mentions a Chrestus. Which is a name. Christ is a title. Tacitus and Pliny the Younger only wrote about the beliefs of Christians whose existence is not under question. Their writings do not prove a historical Jesus, just historical Christians. Serapion only mentioned someone executed he called "the wise king of the Jews". Was Jesus king? Nope. Christians ASSUME he means Jesus. But that's just their assumption. The Talmud were written centuries later, and thus not contemporary.
@@druidriley3163Quoting Tacitus-"Therefore, to scotch the rumour, Nero substituted as culprits, and punished with the utmost refinements of cruelty, a class of men, loathed for their vices, whom the crowd styled Christians [Chrestianos]. Christus, the founder of the name [auctor nominis], had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator [procuratorem] Pontius Pilatus, and a pernicious superstition [exitiabilis superstitio] was checked for the moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judea, the home of the disease, but in the capital itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue." It is plain to see that there is a reference to Christ there, yet you falsely claim that Tacitus never mentions Christ and only wrote about Christian beliefs. Furthermore the word "Chrestianos" used in conjunction to "Christus" by Tacitus lends credence to the view most scholars hold today-which is that "Chrestus" and "Christus" were interchangeably used in that time period and that Chrestus is just a spelling mistake referring to the same individual. Furthermore, in a group of some nine tombstone epitaphs in North Phrygia (in modern-day Turkey), the Greek word for “Christians” is spelled Christianos, Chreistianos, and Chrēstianos, the last of which corresponds precisely to Tacitus’s spelling. The ease with which people in the Roman world used the Greek form Chrēstianos in place of Christianos suggests that Suetonius might have done the same thing with the Latin form Chrestus in place of Christus. This possibility becomes the likeliest explanation in light of the additional fact that in the Greco-Roman culture Christus was virtually unknown as a name whereas Chrestus was a common pagan name-but not a common Jewish name. Quoting Pliny-"They asserted, however, that the sum and substance of their fault or error had been that they were accustomed to meet on a fixed day before dawn and sing responsively a hymn to Christ as to a god, and to bind themselves by oath, not to some crime, but not to commit fraud, theft, or adultery, not falsify their trust, nor to refuse to return a trust when called upon to do so." I can again plainly see a reference to the individual called Christ here as well, which apparently you cannot...Pliny also clearly objects to the early Christian doctrine of Christ's divinity.
@@voldmerot *It is plain to see that there is a reference to Christ there, yet you falsely claim that Tacitus never mentions Christ* Nope, I never said that. Go back and read my comment again. *Chrestus" and "Christus" were interchangeably used in that time period and that Chrestus is just a spelling mistake referring to the same individual* No, no scholar is making that claim because Chrestus is a name. Christ is a title. It'd be like saying, "We're using the word Peter and President interchangeably. It means the same thing but they're just mispelling it." No, it doesn't and isn't. Your argument is full of "suggest", "possibility" and "likeliest" means it's just you guessing. And plus, we know Jesus never went to Rome, so your whole argument is immaterial. *can again plainly see a reference to the individual called Christ here as well, which apparently you cannot* And how does this quote from Pliny prove historical evidence of Jesus? It doesn't. It's just Pliny repeating the beliefs of the Christians.
@@druidriley3163 Where is your evidence independent of Suetonius’s use of this form of the word that a Jewish revolutionary by the name of Chrestus existed in the middle of the first century? Conversely, we have abundant evidence for the existence of a controversial Jewish teacher during that period known as Christus (Christ). In effect, we have more reason to advocate “Chrestus mythicism” than “Christ mythicism.” You Jesus mythicists would have people believe that Jesus Christ did not exist, but that during roughly the same time period there was a Jewish leader who stirred controversy among the Jews and whose name coincidentally happened to be Chrestus. Biblical scholar John P. Meier asserts in his volume 1 of "A Marginal Jew: Rethinking the Historical Jesus," that Chrestus was not a common Jewish name, but only a common pagan name. Also, as the classicist lecturer Norma P. Miller in her publication "Tacitus: Annals XV" observes, the speculation “that there existed simultaneously Jewish zealots known as Chrestiani, is to stretch coincidence rather far.” Furthermore Codex Sinaiticus, a fourth-century Christian edition of the Greek Bible, spells the word Chrēstianos in its three occurrences in the New Testament (Acts 11:26; 26:8; 1 Peter 4:16) and biblical scholar/theologian Craig S. Keener brings this point to light in his published exegesis of the book of Acts-"Acts: An Exegetical Commentary, Volume 3." Lastly, G. H. R. Horsley, in his important discussion of the North Phrygian tombstone inscriptions I mentioned in the previous comment, points out “the linguistic fact that there is a nearly complete overlapping of the sounds represented by ι, ει, η [i, ei, ē] in koine.” In at least one of these inscriptions, the name is spelled in two different ways (Christianoi Chrēstianois, “Christians for Christians”). He provides a few more examples and cites earlier studies that document this point in great detail in his book "New Documents Illustrating Early Christianity, 3."
@@voldmerot The documentation of Suetonius' report has been tampered with. You can look at it online. The word was originally Chrestus. Chrestus was a common Greek name that was used for slaves, mostly. So the follower was named Chrestus and he was a freed slave. Problem solved. There were quite a few messiahs running around Judea at the time, so why would usage of the word "Christianos" be unusual as Meir asserts? Book of Acts was written sometime during the late 1st century or early 2nd century and is not writing history as much as developed doctrine at the time.
I usually like his documentaries. This one, however is a master class in begging the question. With the exception of the unanswered questions about the Dead Sea scrolls the whole these 25 words match therefore its 100 % accurate is untenable at best

If someone was going implant suggestions into Josephus work I'm positive they'd have done more... Added more references to Jesus. Recording history is a work in progress so naturally the more he learned the more confident he became to make the statement that Jesus is the Messiah.
The Jewish Talmud (not Christian) makes a detailed reference SPECIFICALLY about Jesus' background, birth, life, deeds and teachings, his death, the reasons for his execution, and what they claim happened to his soul after death. And they were not at all favourable to him... ...to put it mildly. Thus proving that there are contemporary documentation OUTSIDE the Bible of Jesus life, mission and execution even if negative towards Jesus. So, the documentary host in this video really made a fool out of himself with the opening statement of his documentary. And there are other statements made by pagan Roman writers of the first century, as well. So...shame on him for that. ""Thou shalt not bear false witness!"" --the law of Moses...right? 💛💙❤️
@@pellaxestorba4836 "Pagan Roman writers" versus what (?)..."Catholic Roman writers"... In the first century AD, in the Roman Empire? How ignorant a statement, indeed... Presently, scholars in the field agree that a Jewish man called Yəhôšuaʿ-- in modern English known as "Jesus of Nazareth" -- did exist in the Herodian Kingdom of Judea, and the subsequent Herodian tetrarchy in the 1st century AD, upon whose life and teachings the religion of "Christianity" was later constructed. Various proposals as to the literal etymological meaning of the name "Yəhôšua"ʿ (יְהוֹשֻׁעַ), including Yahwe/Yahoo - saves, Is salvation, a saving-cry, a cry-for-saving, a cry-for-help, my help. A recent study proposes that the name should be understood as "Yahweh/Yahoo is Lord". Yahoo/Yahweh is Osiris, while traveling (in a boat west to east) under/below the horizon. Osiris = "god of life and death" = night avatar of the sun, while the sun is the unseen one, or "traveling in the undeworld" in other words - the sun at night. Yahweh/Yahoo = god of the jews = the sun at night. Jesus Christ = lit. anointed, anointed .... And there is more, but I guess freeked you out enough for right now. ...let me know if you want more info on the subject of "religion"
I find archeology, history etc very interesting. But at the end of the day I know Jesus is real and alive now. He rose from the grave. I wasn't religious, still I am not, but I know and follow Jesus. I didn't know what the bible said about Jesus being the door etc. But God sent me a dream showing me that, after I had asked God "let me know who you are". Shortly after that dream I bowed my head and prayed, asking for forgiveness and for Jesus to come into my life as my Lord and Saviour. Then I was born again and transformed, my desires changed and I was given power over the enemy to be able to walk this Christian path. Without the Holy Spirit it's impossible. May the Lord bless and keep you and shine His face upon you.
Amen an Amen. I love history, archeology, an such also but like you I am not a fan of JESUS I AM A FOLLOWER OF JESUS. I AM not religious but I read an study GODs word I know JESUS IS RISEN HE LIVES TODAY YESTERDAY AN TOMORROW
What's even more interesting is how many near death experiences have Jesus in them. Even those who live far away and never heard of him. Die, see him, come back and become christians. It's too common to dismiss.

Maybe it’s different through the video, but starting with the premise “the only evidence we have outside the ‘Bible” is Josephus” IMMEDIATELY discredits anything to come after, and I simply won’t watch if the claim is that Josephus is the only source outside the Bible. Silly premise to start it. Jesus’ existence is certainly the most SURE fact in human history. I certainly hope this went over other sources and archaeological findings , but the premise alone is enough for me to shut it off. There’s far more than just findings for Jesus’ existence, but even people of the Old Testament like Isaac. It’s a shame
It ain’t true though. Josephus made 2 references not one. One is considered to be true. There’s also another ref in a book which quotes an earlier book which has been lost in time. Also St Paul’s letters are considered authentic which takes us right back to the first few years after Jesus death. It’s annoying that programmes like this are so factually wrong

Moses wasn't illiterate he was raise in Egypt as a prince by the pharaonic family. Therefore he was taught how to write. All important Egyptians were initiated into the Egyptian mystery school. Which writing was sacred, and knowing how to write was mandatory. So I doubt that Moses was illiterate. Josephus is the only extrabiblical source to mention Jesus? What about Tacitus, who mentions the execution of James the brother of Jesus of Nazareth, or Lucian of Samosata, Who mentions the Christians as a cult with a crucified sage? what about all the disparaging writings of Celsus? Do all those sources show evidence of being manufactured?
Tacitus wasn't even born when Jesus supposedly lived. He only wrote what Christians of his time believed. You don't think he traveled to Judea to fact check them, did you? Mentions of Christians doesn't support the existence of Jesus as historical, any more that the existence of the followers of the goddess Isis proves the goddess existed. Celsus was a polytheist. He believed in Hercules. He disparaged Christians and Christianity.
The existence of the historical personage of Christ is not disputed by historians of any sort. To deny his existence marks a stark departure with accepted historical consensus. Please keep this in mind.
Very well done for the most part. Up till the end when he starts to follow his own conclusion with nothing to go except the fact that hes biased towards his own Religion. I also noticed that he cleverly and completely left how Jesus was captured and put on trial then crucified. Would that be because he doesn't want to remind us of the huge amount of guilt his ppl have in killing Jesus? At the end when he follows his own bias it's based on a teenie tiny plaque. Just because you find a teenie tiny plaque doesn't mean the whole Torah is accurate. You also didn't mention the contradictions in a sense that if it was written by 1 person then half the contradictions would be lies and half would be true. Please in the future try to actually have a clear and open mind about everything, and not just what you feel like being open too. If that's the case don't even bother.....just retire. Oh and btw stop endorsing history hit tv....its garbage.....and not like netflix at all unless you like mostly very very short videos. RUclips is by far better.....especially if you pay for premium.
I was thinking this too. His assertion that the documentary hypothesis is wrong because scribes have a tradition of incredible accuracy doesn’t actually prove anything. A document can be an amalgamation of different authors’ works and still be accurate to it’s source materials. Also a few sentences on a plaque being word for word with today’s Torah doesn’t mean the rest of it back then couldn’t have been different. And proving something has stayed the same since X time doesn’t mean it couldn’t have changed before then either.
In one series he maintains that Caiaphas actually revered Jesus and that we had him all wrong. I think he actually suggested that Caiaphas tried to dissuade Pilate from executing Jesus.
Oh, please. Don't let's get into antisemitic tropes like "the huge amount of guilt his ppl have in killing Jesus." It was a relatively small clique within the ruling elite who cooked up the arrest and trial, and produced the rentamob. Most of the Jews of the time were not even in the vicinity. In fact the word translated "Jews" should probably be translated "Judeans," indicating the ruling elite, as they are usually distinguished from the equally Jewish common people in the gospels.
While expecting to see evidence of Jesus' existence, this turned out to be mostly a history lesson about Josephus and whether or not he's believable--however, I enjoyed it...

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

I am christian and the teachings of Jesus I accept without any need for historical proof of the Person´s existence. it is not important as the same teachings can be put side by side to compare for equality with Buddhist teachings from 500 years before. About the crucifixion 'experiment' done by the doctor - I'm quite disappointed in it. Metacarpals can't hold up the weight of a human, so the nails would have to be put through the wrists for it to work, otherwise their hands would just tear apart.
That's why, when they used this form of crucifixion, they would have used straps to keep them from tearing thru.
@@sherryblanton2029 though I do recall since I said that, that there are some SE Asian countries that actually perform reenactments of it, and I seen they go through the hands, but I can't recall if they stood on any pegs or had straps.
I agree! The Shroud of Turin shows that the nails went through the wrists, which makes sense!
You’re correct. The cross was up side down. Recall that one of the saint wore a cross up side down. I think it’s a more logical explanation that the feet were nailed on the top and the arms were kept by nails below.
Josephus is the only extra-biblical source?
What happened to Suetonius, Tacitus and Pliny the Younger?
They all mention Jesus and Christianity respectively in marginal notes on events in Rome and in the provinces, which at times endangered the state order there.
Yes, definitely chronologically somewhat later than Josephus - but most likely independent of him (though not of each other).
@@shainazion4073 However, this applies to all sources. Also Josephus was not a contemporary of Jesus…
@@stargazerastro He saud that the stories of the Temple and surrounding people were written of by Josephus. There is aome of Josephus' work written about Jesus that they believe was faked by the early church Fathers. Josephus was born in 37 CE. Jesus died 4 years before Josephus was born. He had the most opportunity to speak with those that knew Jesus, or the Temple records about the story.
@@shainazion4073 Nobody knows when Jesus, if he existed, was born nor when he died.
Tacitus & Pliny & others wrote about “Christians” non-Jewish followers of Paul’s concepts, long after Jesus allegedly lived.
Paul never met Jesus, was at near constant odds, in his & his followers own words, with the original followers of Jesus, messianic Jews,
over the Greek-Roman mythology of Hercules-Jesus son of Zeus-God coming down to earth as part god part man, and resurrecting from the dead like Greek gods.
Christus, the founder of the name [auctor nominis], had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator [procuratorem] Pontius Pilatus, and a pernicious superstition [exitiabilis superstitio] was checked for the moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judea, the home of the disease, but in the capital itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue."
It is plain to see that there is a reference to Christ there, yet you falsely claim that Tacitus never mentions Christ and only wrote about Christian beliefs.
Quoting Pliny-"They asserted, however, that the sum and substance of their fault or error had been that they were accustomed to meet on a fixed day before dawn and sing responsively a hymn to Christ as to a god, and to bind themselves by oath, not to some crime, but not to commit fraud, theft, or adultery, not falsify their trust, nor to refuse to return a trust when called upon to do so."
I can again plainly see a reference to the individual called Christ here as well, which apparently you cannot...Pliny also clearly objects to the early Christian doctrine of Christ's divinity.
Miller in her publication "Tacitus: Annals XV" observes, the speculation “that there existed simultaneously Jewish zealots known as Chrestiani, is to stretch coincidence rather far.”
Furthermore Codex Sinaiticus, a fourth-century Christian edition of the Greek Bible, spells the word Chrēstianos in its three occurrences in the New Testament (Acts 11:26; 26:8; 1 Peter 4:16) and biblical scholar/theologian Craig S.

That's inconsequential, everyone giving a presentation on television is a bit of a showman. I'm more amazed to see a Jew exploring the existence of Jesus without talking pejoratively about Him.
Amen in the name of Jesus Christ ❤🙏😊

It's Plain to see if you're reading a proper translation.
This was an awesome video, absolutely educational, thanks for posting this video, this was an incredible job done very well with great research.
Was the "research" really "great"❓ I don't think so. The Archaeologist took huge leaps based on one persons say so, hardly research at all❗
@@stephenclarke3990 I agree. 💯
@@dr.rickmarshall6697 Thank you, I appreciate your reply.
@@billybenham4920 he says the Christ he doesn’t say Yeshua from Nazareth so who knows who he was referring to and besides that if you want to say that makes jesus a credible real person then that would make Hercules real also because he’s mentioned more much more than the Christ.

Opium is made from a poppy-"flower", so I'm not sure why you'd think that they didn't use opium in those times.
it always amazes me that the lord takes the least knowledgeable and teaches them every thing that the clever people don't know 😜
it is common knowledge that romans. did use poppy, as a way to relax/meditate. they also used it in offerings. due persia/messopethamia. being colonized/co-existing with the mediterian countrys. romans were there too. so did the use of poppy, what originates from there. so its backwards. the romans brought it to rome. and culturalized it. but not in the addictive drug abusive way its know nowadays like heroin.
How about mushrooms or Syrian rue with acacia rootbark 😊
How frequent were the advertisement on this when it was on television?!
Plus the string theory has shown that everything in the universe is made out of strings that vibrate at different frequency making up the material universe certain sound while praying do have an impact on reality. Which the Egyptians were aware of. Now what those sounds are only the Ancient Egyptians knew. Prayers do work. We just lost that knowledge. I challenge anyone to tell me otherwise specially those sceptics that only talk out of their asses
Yes, he was raised as royalty
Moses was a very educated man 100% correct and evidences (Scientific) provides such proof

Take a walk-through A insane asylum and you will see that faith and belief means nothing.
This is what the people of Baal believed about their god as well before the prophet Elijah put them to death. Who’s to say that Jesus existed and was born in Bethlehem? Just food for thought. Don’t except what people tell you as law.
Why do they think they know the exact spot where Jesus was born?
Can 'Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead' be also explained likewise leprosy?
So what about the references from Tacitus, Lucian etc.. ?

This type of comment really annoys me from fellow Christian’s ! Why wouldn’t you be interested in the actual history of the Bible? This type of nonsense turns me off. It makes no sense! If your not following beliefs of the actual folks that wrote the Bible and instead spewing these cliches about blind faith. I encourage you stop saying these kinds of things so you don’t turn people off in the other direction. By the way just because one is interested in what actually happened has nothing to do with your belief’s. This type of rhetoric sounds like the dumb clichés I hear coming out of atheist’s mouths about how there is no God etc. etc. I wish more people would think a little more.

The Old Testament said that he would be from Bethlehem of Judea and both Mary and Joseph can trace their lineage back to the house of David in their genealogies
Joseph wasn't Jesus' father. And Mary's lineage doesn't count. Only the father's lineage counted for ancient Hebrews.

The rabbi is not serious. When he can not accept the new testament, he still can find the messiah in the tanah old testament like psalm 22, isaiah 53, sacharja12 - 14, where the israeli tribes see the one they have stabbed coming in the clouds, to save them.

47:34 - Christ was nailed through the wrist and NOT, the palm of the hand. This alone, tells me this is an old production, as that is pretty much, common knowledge now.
There's been controversy. I've seen a study done where they said it COULD have been through the palms of the hands if they placed the nails correctly.
@@druidriley3163: No, it is not physically, possible. There is absolutely, nothing in the hand that would be able to hold the body in place. @ 36 Minutes, poor argument. We have the genealogies of Jesus showing that both Mary and Joseph came from the line of David.
Off the top of my head, Tacitus was a Roman historian that wrote about Jesus. The video starts off with a false premise. I'll ignore the rest.

He still mentioned Jesus of Nazareth when he mentions his brother, James
Is there a record in Roman archives/outside the Bible of a census such as the gospel of Luke mentions?
Nope
And proving something has stayed the same since X time doesn’t mean it couldn’t have changed before then either.
he is a laughing stock among biblical scholars and archeologists, cherry picks to fit his conclusions n completely disregards centuries of scholarship
In one series he maintains that Caiaphas actually revered Jesus and that we had him all wrong. I think he actually suggested that Caiaphas tried to dissuade Pilate from executing Jesus.
The Romans crucified Jesus not the Jews. It’s sad that some have not grown out of that antisemitic bullshit
I believe that particular passage in Josephus was added after the fact, by followers who wanted to reinforce their claim that Jesus was god.
There is much scholarship proving the passages in Josephus relating to Jesus were added by a fellow named Eusebius or his predecessor.
Correct, Testimonius Flavanius is considered to be a fraud added to Flavius Josephus’s account..
