It's so wild coming back to these streams years later. It's both heartwarming and heartbreaking. We all went through a lot. But ACNH was honestly a gift, and something my mom could talk about with me because she heard her local radio show all talk about their islands (she's not a gamer, and neither were the radio hosts, ahaha. Just goes to show how much impact it was having outside the typical gaming sphere.) It was wonderful to be able to communicate in this way. I'm glad this stuff is always online, so when things get tough for me and others, we have these profoundly cozy memories to come back to. Thanks for everything, OX crew.

We all need an Animal Crossing buddy like her ^_^ Thank you for this, I unexpectedly had the week from hell, and this stream was wholesome and hilarious and just what the doctor ordered. When Luke said "yes, tell me all about quetzals" I swear I could feel Andy and Jane rolling their eyes and muttering "nerd" over the stream and all the way in Australia

I’ve never seen anyone so excited by finding a fossil before and I studied palaeontology at uni! Can’t wait to get my WiFi sorted and play this with my nieces since I can’t physically see them for a few months.

I’m doing the same thing! Just spent all of ‘23 bedbound over a herniated disc and nerve leg pain. Had surgery in January and am headed back in Monday to fix some busted stitches. These streams are wonderful for taking your mind off things and bringing back good memories.
I missed this live but am watching now. I finally got my copy just as your stream started so I wanted to play! Plus my kiddos wanted to play too, although at 6 and 7, I'll be doing the brunt of the work, they just want to run around hitting each other with nets! Still, this is a fun watch while eating dinner, then I'm back at it for the evening, while my husband plays Doom! Have fun with it you all! Stay safe and healthy!
I watched most of Luke's AC:NH videos as they aired back in 2020. I didn't have a Switch, but something about the videos was very comforting. FFWD to a month ago when I finally got a Switch. I've been playing AC:NH non-stop! I've also started rewatching this playlist and am finding it super interesting how much I know about the game only because I learned along with Luke 3 years ago. I think I might have found the experience more challenging and maybe even less fun without these videos.

It was so chill with that calm music ... i just dozed out at the end. Should add that i was tired so it was no surprise, but i almost got to the end (which say alot about how interesting it was, even with all that sleep inducing music :P). Great stream, i cannot wait to fall asleep .... i mean to watch the next one :D
Anyone else notice that the tree & mammoth fossils aren’t stylised? This makes me think ACNH is set on Earth, far in the future, when animals have either evolved or been engineered to talk & live among humans.

I'm loving New Horizons especially getting to watch like everyone on RUclips playing animal crossing for the first time in their lives and not knowing any of the tricks and things in AC xD
Having played this for my first Animal crossing game for two days now I've enjoyed it well enough, but I can see how playing with friends would make this even better with so many aspects designed for social interaction. Sadly I don't have any. At least the game isn't constantly reminding about playing with your friends because that would really make it much less enjoyable.
Every time I see the otters at the beginning of the Stream, I hear the otter saying "get on with it!", in Luke's voice, and the other one replies with "patience is a virtue" in Ellen's.

I was so glad that they addressed Luke and Ellen sitting on the wrong side of the couch in the intro because that was the first thing I noticed.

Nah, that's the twist when you get to the end of ACNH...Johnny is, and always has been, every NPC in the game.
From the intro to the puns to the co-op gameplay, that entire stream was a non-stop cavalcade of sheer sweetness. Presh mems all around.
