Matt, if you take a 5ft pvc or pool noodle and hold it in the middle; place front foot against a wall, you have to turn the barrel deep or the 2.5 ft ‘knob’ hits the wall. Try it
Mr. Antonelli don't listen to those negative commet's i watch alot of your videos. And in my opinion you give genuine advise keep on sharing and teaching. Thank you.
Matt what is the device you are using to do this drill? The one that keeps the distance or the hitting box between his arms? There have been some other comments about what it is, i wanted to hear it from you?
I love your concepts and the rationale behind the drill, the rear tilt, turning barrel...the question I have in most the drills and when you demo the swing it appears that there is most the weight in the the back leg and not a release off the backside. When we look at most the elite big leaguers swing there appears to be a complete release from the backside at contact, with the back foot either all the way off the ground or on the top of the toe. Is this the exaggeration of the drills that you talk about or is it more your Corp belief that there more weight on the backside?
Is that a Perfect Connection from Bat Speed Jack? I've been using those for a couple of years with the kids I've coached... they get a funny look but ... wow ... very effective... they work great. GREAT VIDEO!!
Could someone point me in the direction of the tool between the elbows... seems like it would really help to maintain connection to the body... we have 1-2 of our players struggling with bat drag and a connection ball drill has helped tremendously but this seems like it would work well. I only see the one for golfers on a google search.
Baseball Rebellion sells a product called the Bat Drag Buster. It is essentially the same thing as this. My son uses it and it's great. Highly recommend it.

No, you never want to look at the ball, the ball moves. Looking at the ball will throw your swing off. Didn't you ever watch Stat Wars where Obiwan says to Luke "Don't trust your eyes, they can deceive you." Turn off the guidance computer dude. Close your eyes and imagine the ball being a small death star and bang blow that sh!t up.
The device is called perfect connexion. Go to mr baseball but don’t use it like jack mankin demonstrates. Do it as Matt is advocating here. It was actually made for golfers originally. Good luck

Oh, that's pretty brilliant!

I love you approach. I show my daughter how to incorporate these lessons and it shows in her swing.

Great explanation of drills, ingredients to mechanics for effortless results 👏 from experience and knowledge.
WARNING: Do not do Hitting Drills while under the influence of NyQuil.
I have so many fucking questions
Matt, what’s your opinion on grip pressure? I never played. I play golf and you want a pretty loose grip in golf.
Also good for learning how to tilt instead of turning. Ferris wheel vs. Merry go round
I'd appreciate a video on the Camwood bat I've seen you use.
can you make a video on how much free time you have in minors and majors?
The level of knowledge Matt is dropping here is elite level stuff. His passion? Unmatched.
Keep it up Matt
Matt you mentioned this is 1 of the drills to fix this. What are a few others you would suggest?
Hey Matt, how man reps do you typically do the drill and the swings ..... We learn so much about hitting from you Thanks your videos are great
Matt, do you think Ben Zobrist will play again?

Hey Antonelli. I go to school in Boston and would like to get a batting practice section with you and talk certain things, how can I do that?

What device is in between his arms? I have a problem with my arms moving to much, and I think that device could really help me.
Good afternoon Matt, where can I buy the tool that guy use between his arms?
What standing heavy bag brand are you using?
What’s guy advice Matt if I have to try out with older guys for baseball
I think the drill creates a 'C' shaped spine.
what do you think of MLB teams' reluctance to improve minor league salaries?
On a different subject, Looking at tennis balls for practice. No clue if I should buy standard pressure or pressureless. Any advice?
Pressureless. Don’t go flat
Where do you get the device to play the player is using in the left video?
I'm not a hitting guru or anything but should you be looking at the ball when you swing?
