Erasure "Chorus" Go ahead with your dreamin' For what it's worth Or you'll be stricken bound Kickin' up dirt For when it's dark You never know what the night it may bring Go ahead with your schemin' And shop at home You'll find treasure While cookin' up bones But the knife is sharp You'd better watch that you don't cut your hands And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep Go ahead with your dreamin' For what it's worth Or you'll be stricken bound Kickin' up dirt For when it's dark You never know what the night it may bring Go ahead with your schemin' And shop at home You'll find treasure While cookin' up bones But the knife is sharp You'd better watch that you don't cut your hands And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep Holy Moses our hearts are screaming Souls are lifting only dreaming We'll be waiting some are praying For a time when no one's cheating The sunlight rising over the horizon Just a distant memory a dawn chorus Birds singing bells ringing In our hearts in our minds And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep And they covered up the sun Until the birds had flown away And the fishes in the sea Had gone to sleep.
Well done Mark. You've captured everything that makes this song brilliant - the popping snare, the transformer (don't know how else to name them) samples, the deep choruses bass, the radar sample and of course the low frequency oscillator. Please do my second favourite erasure song "I Love Saturday"
such a classic to cover great synths and arps in this,, love those drums, that kick and snare alone is 110% .. dont you sing no more mate? i used to love your sndcloud page.. dig ya vocal:)
This is incredible, near perfect. So difficult to re-create VC's synths and all the weird sounds that crop up on this song. What did you use to film the actual work space Mark?
His instrumental is perfect and of great quality. Congratulations! Would it be possible to make this same Erasure song a challenging instrumental identical to the Ben Grosse Remix, without the vocals? If possible, I would be very happy to hear it, because I really like that remix and without the vocals it would be even cooler.
I recognize 2 samples from original ERASURE sounds : - A plinka-plonk from the 1992 "Am I Right ?" live rendition (at the beginning of the 2nd verse) - some beep-beeps from the 2003 cover of "Everyday" (at the end of the evangelical middle-eight) ...Am I right ?
Nope, the only original sample in there is at around 1:38 at the top of the music section highlighted in pink, from the Lucky Bastard CD. Only plays the once. Unless, of course that`s one of them you meant. The rest of the music is all omnisphere :-)
Yes, but Vince initially used this sample at the very beginning of "Am I Right ?" 1992 live performance. Concerning the beep-beeps of the low-end part, I'm also sure that Vince used them at the end of "Everyday"'s middle-eight. Check it !
first listened through on laptop, big mistake, so forced myself to figure out how to send music over Bluetooth to HiFi. WOW! There's the bass ! Awesome cover - but I seem to remember, you can sing right? Why don't you vocalise these tracks?
Defo need good speakers or headphones. I think people like the instrumentals more cus they can use them as backing tracks, then upload a version with their vocals :-)

Erasure "Chorus"
Go ahead with your dreamin'
For what it's worth
Or you'll be stricken bound
Kickin' up dirt
For when it's dark
You never know what the night it may bring
Go ahead with your schemin'
And shop at home
You'll find treasure
While cookin' up bones
But the knife is sharp
You'd better watch that you don't cut your hands
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
Go ahead with your dreamin'
For what it's worth
Or you'll be stricken bound
Kickin' up dirt
For when it's dark
You never know what the night it may bring
Go ahead with your schemin'
And shop at home
You'll find treasure
While cookin' up bones
But the knife is sharp
You'd better watch that you don't cut your hands
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
Holy Moses our hearts are screaming
Souls are lifting only dreaming
We'll be waiting some are praying
For a time when no one's cheating
The sunlight rising over the horizon
Just a distant memory a dawn chorus
Birds singing bells ringing
In our hearts in our minds
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep
And they covered up the sun
Until the birds had flown away
And the fishes in the sea
Had gone to sleep.

I think Mark should rather ask Jodie LEANNE, who already successfully vocalised over his instrumental of "Hideaway" ! :)

Hi mark we're doing our video now is it ok if we use this one as well credits will be posted
Sure :-)
Please don't use Erasure's name when this is not Erasure. It is rude and not polite to fans or the band. Thank you.
